背景技术
用于车辆的自动机械变速器(AMT)系统在本领域中是已知的。众所周知,AMT包括离合器和一组齿轮。AMT自动执行换档。AMT可以设置在许多车辆上,包括长途运输车辆和大型工程车辆。油耗法规促进了长途运输车辆以及专业车辆提高燃料效率的需求。

具体实施方式
根据以下讨论可以理解,本公开从驱动附件部件诸如充电系统(交流发电机)和驱动HVAC空气调节器的压缩机的传统“前端附件驱动器”(FEAD)开始更换车辆电气系统。相反,根据本公开的车辆电气系统由变速器副轴驱动。此类配置允许在发动机熄火时滑行的新的操作模式(发动机熄火滑行或EOC),同时仍然通过在发动机停止(放油)并且车辆还在移动时从车轮驱动充电系统来提供电力。
在商用长途运输8级车辆(通常称为“18轮式卧铺驾驶室”)中,传统上,FEAD驱动附件部件,诸如充电系统和驱动HVAC空气调节器的压缩机。历史上,此类车辆的操作者几乎一直在运行发动机,包括在行驶时运行发动机以用于推进和在停止时空转以维持附件功能诸如“旅馆载荷”,包括灯、电视、冷藏机和在夏季月份的HVAC冷却。为了改善油耗,许多地方的车队政策和法律都禁止长时间空转。提供所需电力和冷却的许多解决方案已经商业化,包括增加针对该功能的小型发动机(APU)、增加运行电动空气调节器的电池(电池在行驶时充电)、以及发动机的周期性循环。
原始设备制造商已经采用两条路径来进行发动机熄火空气调节。在第一实施方式中,在行驶时使用现有的带驱动压缩机,而在发动机熄火时使用第二电驱动压缩机。此类解决方案增加了成本和复杂性。在第二实施方式中,纯电驱动压缩机用于所有HVAC需求。全时电动HVAC系统的缺点有两方面:首先,电力需求的增加超过12V系统中的可用功率,从而将工业推向更高的系统电压(特别是48V)。其次,在驾驶时当发动机轴功率转换为电力然后转换回轴功率以驱动压缩机时,系统效率受到影响。
首先参考图1,示出了根据本公开的一个示例构造的AMT系统,并且以参考标号10表示。AMT系统10选择性地联接到燃料控制发动机12(诸如柴油发动机等)、多速度变速齿轮变速器14和驱动地插置在发动机12和变速器14的输入轴18之间的主离合器16。变速器14可以是包括与分段式和/或组合式辅助段串联连接的主变速器段的复合式变速器。这种类型的变速器,尤其是用在重型车辆中的变速器,通常具有9、10、12、13、16或18种前进速度。变速器输出轴20从变速器14向外延伸并且通常通过传动轴24与车辆驱动轮轴22驱动地连接。

变速器14具有一个或多个主轴段40。主轴40与输入轴18同轴。变速器14具有第一副轴42和第二副轴44。副轴42和44从输入轴18和主轴40偏移。副轴42和44被示出为彼此偏移,然而在一些示例中,副轴42和44可以彼此同轴。输出轴20可以与主轴40同轴。
第一副轴42由轴承支撑以在变速器14壳体内旋转。变速器14的第一副轴42具有副轴齿轮50、52、54、56和58。第二副轴44由轴承支撑以在变速器14壳体内旋转。变速器14的第二副轴44具有副轴齿轮60、62、64、66和68。变速器40的主轴14具有主轴齿轮70、72、74、76和78。主离合器80可选择性地将扭矩传递到变速器14中。耳机离合器84、第一滑动爪形离合器88和第二滑动爪形离合器90可以如图2所示左右移动,以将各种主轴齿轮70-78和副轴齿轮50-58和60-68连接,用于在变速器14内获得所需的驱动齿轮和扭矩路径。
主轴40的右手端可驱动地连接到太阳齿轮110。行星齿轮架112连接到输出轴20或与输出轴成一体,该输出轴通过驱动轮轴22可驱动地连接到车辆牵引轮。环形齿轮118接合由齿轮架112承载的行星小齿轮120。
根据本公开的一个示例,电动发电机140可以选择性地联接到第二副轴44(或变速器动力输出装置PTO)。如本文将理解的,电动发电机140被配置为以两种相反的模式运行。在第一模式中,电动发电机140通过消耗电力来产生机械动力而作为电动机操作。在第一模式中,车辆可以通过电力以非常低的速度(诸如小于2MPH)移动。传统上,商用长途运输8级车辆通过发动机离合器很难以非常低的速度移动,尤其是在倒退时。
在第二模式中,电动发电机140通过消耗机械动力来产生电力而作为发电机操作。在一种配置中,单向离合器142和行星齿轮组件144可以联接在第二副轴44和电动发电机140之间。行星齿轮组件144可以是具有太阳齿轮150的增速齿轮组件。行星齿轮架152连接到第二副轴44或与第二副轴成一体,该第二副轴可驱动地连接到电动发电机140。环形齿轮156接合由齿轮架152承载的行星小齿轮160。当电动发电机140为9kW雷米48V电动机时,行星齿轮组件144可以满足发动机12曲柄起动所需的21:1冷曲柄起动比的要求。
仅以举例的方式,电动发电机140可以是6-20千瓦的24-48伏电动机。电动发电机140可以最终由第二副轴44驱动并且通过离合器172连接到HVAC压缩机170。然后,压缩机170可以如本领域已知的那样与HVAC的部件连通。电动发电机140可以在能量存储模式下对电池176(图1)充电,并且在能量使用模式下由电池176供电。
通过将电动发电机140安装到变速器14的副轴44,可以实现各种优点。在一种操作模式中,如下面将更详细描述的,发动机可以关闭(放油)同时车辆仍在移动或滑行(EOC),并且电动发电机140再生,从而导致燃料效率提高高达3%。在其他优点中,一个(或多个)电池176可以靠近电动发电机140安装在发动机舱中,从而使电池电缆的长度相比传统安装配置减少。此外,变速器系统10可以省去各种部件,包括但不限于起动器、交流发电机、液压动力转向装置、同步器和变速器惯性制动器。就这一点而言,可以实现显著的重量减轻。在一些布置方式中,变速器系统10可以配置为用在具有电动转向装置的车辆上。
控制器28可以使变速器系统10以各种操作模式操作。在第一模式中,控制器28以打开状态操作主离合器16,其中变速器14处于档位。在第一模式或发动机熄火滑行中,控制器28基于车辆操作条件而在车辆移动时关闭发动机或对发动机12放油,并且引导来自输出轴20的旋转能量穿过第二副轴44并进入电动发电机140中。根据各种示例,车辆操作条件可以包括与任何操作条件相关的输入信号30,包括但不限于全球定位系统(GPS)信号、坡度传感器信号和车辆速度传感器信号。如可以理解的,当车辆下坡行驶时,以第一模式运行变速器系统10将是有利的。例如,可以从GPS信号和/或坡度传感器获得高度变化。
在第二模式中,控制器28以关闭状态操作主离合器16,其中变速器14处于空档。在第二模式中,控制器28可以促进发动机启动和空转发电。在第三模式中,控制器28以打开状态操作主离合器16并且变速器14处于空档。第三模式可以用于同步和惯性制动。在第四模式中,控制器28以关闭状态操作主离合器16并且变速器14处于档位。第四模式可以用于正常巡航和发电。

在HVAC行驶模式中,将选择副轴44和电动发电机140之间的7:1比率。HVAC压缩机170将以3.5:1的比率接合到电动发电机140。变速器14将处于适当的档位并且主离合器16将在车辆推进时关闭并在EOC模式下在发动机12关闭的情况下打开。HVAC系统由发动机或传动系统直接驱动,从而消除功率转换为电力并恢复工作的效率损失。而且,HVAC系统可以在EOC模式下提供冷却,从而在下坡时将车辆的惯性转换为冷却以实现附加能量回收,并且可以在发动机12关闭时优选冷却以获得更多的燃料节省。
在睡眠模式中,电动发电机140将与副轴44断开。电动发电机140将通过3.5:1的比率联接到HVAC压缩机170。电动发电机140可以在周期的驱动部分期间使用存储在电池176中的能量来操作HVAC。这提供了冷却功能,而无需增加单独的电动机和逆变器来为HVAC压缩机提供动力。可以使用涉及滑动离合器、副轴型齿轮和行星齿轮的多种机械解决方案来在每种操作模式下获得正确的比率。理想的是,使用单个致动器来在上述模式之间改变。

Claims (20)
1.一种选择性地联接到布置在车辆上的内燃机的发动机曲轴的变速器系统,所述变速器系统包括:
变速器,所述变速器具有输入轴、主轴、输出轴和从所述输入轴偏移的副轴,所述副轴可驱动地连接到所述第一输入轴和所述主轴;
电动发电机,所述电动发电机选择性地联接到所述副轴;
HVAC压缩机,所述HVAC压缩机由所述电动发电机选择性地驱动;以及
控制器,所述控制器基于操作条件而以各种模式操作所述变速器系统。
2.根据权利要求1所述的变速器系统,还包括:
主离合器,所述主离合器包括连接到所述发动机曲轴的驱动部分和联接到所述变速器输入轴并适于在打开位置和关闭位置之间摩擦地接合所述驱动部分的从动部分;并且
其中所述控制器基于车辆操作条件而在所述车辆移动时以包括对所述发动机放油的第一发动机熄火滑行(EOC)操作模式操作所述变速器系统并且引导来自所述输出轴的旋转能量穿过所述副轴并进入所述电动发电机。
3.根据权利要求1所述的变速器系统,还包括联接在所述副轴和所述电动发电机之间的行星齿轮组。
4.根据权利要求3所述的变速器系统,还包括联接在所述副轴和所述行星齿轮组之间的单向离合器。
5.根据权利要求4所述的变速器系统,其中所述电动发电机是24伏电动机和48伏电动机中的一个。
6.根据权利要求1所述的变速器系统,其中所述控制器以“曲柄模式”操作所述变速器系统,其中所述HVAC压缩机与所述电动发电机脱离并且所述电动发电机转动所述内燃机。
7.根据权利要求1所述的变速器系统,其中所述控制器以“爬行模式”操作所述变速器系统,其中所述HVAC压缩机与所述电动发电机脱离并且所述电动发电机为所述车辆提供动力。
8.根据权利要求2所述的变速器系统,其中所述控制器以“无HVAC行驶模式”操作所述变速器系统,其中所述HVAC与所述电动发电机脱离并且所述主离合器在所述车辆推进时关闭并在EOC期间打开。
9.根据权利要求2所述的变速器系统,其中所述控制器以“HVAC行驶模式”操作所述变速器系统,其中所述HVAC与所述电动发电机接合并且所述主离合器在所述车辆推进时关闭并在EOC期间打开。
10.根据权利要求1所述的变速器系统,其中所述控制器以“睡眠模式”操作所述变速器系统,其中所述电动发电机与所述副轴脱离并联接到所述HVAC压缩机,所述电动发电机使用行驶时存储的能量来为所述HVAC压缩机提供动力。
11.一种选择性地联接到布置在车辆上的内燃机的发动机曲轴的变速器系统,所述变速器系统包括:
变速器,所述变速器具有输入轴、主轴、输出轴和从所述输入轴偏移的副轴,所述副轴可驱动地连接到所述第一输入轴和所述主轴;
电动发电机,所述电动发电机选择性地联接到所述副轴并且被配置为以能量存储模式对电池充电并且在能量使用模式下由所述电池供电;
HVAC压缩机,所述HVAC压缩机由所述电动发电机选择性地驱动;以及
控制器,所述控制器基于操作条件而以各种模式操作所述变速器系统,其中所述各种模式包括:(i)发动机熄火滑行(EOC)模式,其中所述发动机放油并且所述电动发电机处于所述能量存储模式;以及(ii)睡眠模式,其中所述电动发电机在所述发动机关闭时为所述HVAC压缩机提供动力。
12.根据权利要求11所述的变速器系统,还包括:
主离合器,所述主离合器包括连接到所述发动机曲轴的驱动部分和联接到所述变速器输入轴并适于在打开位置和关闭位置之间摩擦地接合所述驱动部分的从动部分;并且
其中所述控制器以所述EOC模式操作所述变速器系统并且引导来自所述输出轴的旋转能量穿过所述副轴并进入所述电动发电机。
13.根据权利要求11所述的变速器系统,还包括联接在所述副轴和所述电动发电机之间的行星齿轮组。
14.根据权利要求13所述的变速器系统,还包括联接在所述副轴和所述行星齿轮组之间的单向离合器。
15.根据权利要求14所述的变速器系统,其中所述电动发电机是24伏电动机和48伏电动机中的一个。
16.根据权利要求11所述的变速器系统,其中所述控制器以“曲柄模式”操作所述变速器系统,其中所述HVAC压缩机与所述电动发电机脱离并且所述电动发电机转动所述内燃机。
17.根据权利要求11所述的变速器系统,其中所述控制器以“爬行模式”操作所述变速器系统,其中所述HVAC压缩机与所述电动发电机脱离并且所述电动发电机为所述车辆提供动力。
18.根据权利要求12所述的变速器系统,其中所述控制器以“无HVAC行驶模式”操作所述变速器系统,其中所述HVAC与所述电动发电机脱离并且所述主离合器在所述车辆推进时关闭并在EOC期间打开。
19.根据权利要求12所述的变速器系统,其中所述控制器以“HVAC行驶模式”操作所述变速器系统,其中所述HVAC与所述电动发电机接合并且所述主离合器在所述车辆推进时关闭并在EOC期间打开。
20.一种选择性地联接到布置在车辆上的内燃机的发动机曲轴的变速器系统,所述变速器系统包括:
变速器,所述变速器具有输入轴、主轴、输出轴和从所述输入轴偏移的副轴,所述副轴可驱动地连接到所述第一输入轴和所述主轴;
电动发电机,所述电动发电机选择性地联接到所述副轴并且被配置为以能量存储模式对电池充电并且在能量使用模式下由所述电池供电;
HVAC压缩机,所述HVAC压缩机由所述电动发电机选择性地驱动;以及
控制器,所述控制器基于操作条件而以各种模式选择性地且另选地操作所述变速器系统,其中所述各种模式包括:
(i)“曲柄模式”,其中所述HVAC压缩机与所述电动发电机脱离并且所述电动发电机转动所述内燃机;
(ii)“爬行模式”,其中所述HVAC压缩机与所述电动发电机脱离并且所述电动发电机为所述车辆提供动力;
(iii)“无HVAC行驶模式”,其中所述HVAC与所述电动发电机脱离并且所述主离合器在所述车辆推进时关闭并在发动机熄火滑行(EOC)模式期间打开,其中所述发动机放油并且所述电动发电机处于所述能量存储模式;
(iv)“HVAC行驶模式”,其中所述HVAC与所述电动发电机接合并且所述主离合器在所述车辆推进时关闭并在EOC期间打开;以及
(v)“睡眠模式”,其中所述电动发电机与所述副轴脱离并联接到所述HVAC压缩机,所述电动发电机使用行驶时存储的能量来为所述HVAC压缩机提供动力。
