Description

矿物纤维
本发明涉及一种耐高温可纤维化的矿物组合物,以及从中制得的矿物纤维。
矿物纤维是通过将矿物原料,如岩石,矿渣等熔化、离心而制成的,其被用来大量生产矿物纤维垫和矿物纤维毡,主要在建筑业中用于绝热和隔音的目的。除生产具有良好绝热和隔音能力的垫外,近来有人已将注意力转向这种垫在劳动保健方面的用途。
目前可供选择的市售绝缘产品不仅具有不同的绝热性能,而且具有各种不同程度的耐热性。耐热矿物纤维产品是指长时间下耐高温,而不较大程度上改变形状或尺寸大小的产品。因此从防火用途看来,这种产品很有前景。
常用的玻璃纤维最高能耐的温度约为55℃,但常用的石绒(即岩棉)的耐热能力更好。最高能到大约700℃。但是感兴趣的是甚至能耐1100-1200℃高温的产品,而且这种产品在市场上也有出售。
这种耐热纤维产品包含的主要氧化物是氧化硅SiO2,氧化铝Al2O3,另外通常还有碱土金属氧化物,如氧化钙CaO或者氧化镁MgO。而且,这种产品能包含数量不同的其它氧化物如氧化钛TiO2,氧化锰MnO,氧化硼B2O3,氧化锆ZrO2,氧化铬Cr2O3,氧化钠和氧化钾Na2O和K2O以及杂质。在这方面找到了许多已有技术的实例,参考文献例如为US4,461,840和DEOS1496662。
根据上述公开物,当原料熔体包含大约4-12%的铁氧化物时,得到的组合物特别有利。在该矿物熔体中,铁氧化物主要是以二价铁的形式存在(大约75-90%),三价铁存在的量较少(大约25-10%)。该矿物熔体铁含量主要是由于经济的原料所含铁量或高或低,各不相同。二价铁的存在对该纤维的耐热性产生有利影响,所以它的存在对这个原因是有益的。但是,近期研究的重点是矿物纤维中铁可能有毒性,尤其是在不但耐热而且在生物液体中有高溶解度的纤维中的铁。
由于这种有毒的风险,因此需要减少矿物纤维中的铁含量。但是这又损害了其耐热性。
根据本发明,解决了由于矿物纤维组合物中所用铁量低而引起的耐热性降低的问题,这种矿物纤维包含的主要氧化物为硅氧化物,铝氧化物和钙氧化物。这个问题的解决是通过引入一定量的镁氧化物组分而补偿了所缺的或者减少的二价铁量,从而使镁氧化物MgO和铁氧化物的总量至少为15%的重量。用这种方式得到的矿物纤维组合物同时具有耐高温性和低毒性。
更具体的,本发明涉及了具有下列组分(以重量百分比表示)的矿物纤维:
SiO2         35-45
Al2O3       18-25
TiO2           0-3
MgO           12-20
CaO           10-20
Na2O+K2O      0-3
铁(Fe2O3+FeO) 0-3
B2O3          0-3
P2O5          0-4
其它            0-3其中FeO+MgO≥15%(重量)
上述“其它”成分是指可能存在的杂质,其对所生产的纤维的性能基本不产生影响。
已知在大约0-15%范围内,铝氧化物的含量与纤维在生物溶液中的稳定性成正比,即该组合物含铝氧化物越多,产品就越稳定或者越不可溶。但是,在较高含量时,这种趋势就会颠倒过来,即与铝氧化物含量有关的纤维溶解度会增大。根据本发明,纤维具有良好的耐热性,低毒性,以及在生物溶液中的高溶解性。
优选该组合物包含基本相等量的MgO和CaO。
根据另一优选的实施方案,FeO+MgO+CaO≤32%(重量)。
根据一个优选的实施方案,本发明涉及具有下述成分的纤维,以重量百分比表示:

根据一非常具体的实施方案,本发明涉及基本含有下述成分的纤维:

该矿物组合物是以通常方式通过以合适的比例混合合适的原料,如石头、砂子、大理石、磷灰石、橄榄石、玻璃或各种废渣和其它合适的废料。根据一优选实施方案,主要原料是来自铁制品的废渣,即这种产品本身就是低铁产品。希望增加的铝氧化物的含量是通过加入适当的含铝原料而实现的,例如铝土矿。矿物纤维是用常用方式用该组合物,例如采用多段离心法。
下述实施例解释了本发明,并不用于限制本发明。
将具有表中所列成分的下列组分装入圆顶炉中,表中指是重量百分数。

Claims (5)

1.矿物纤维,其特征在于它具有下列组分,以重量百分比表示:
SiO2        35-45
Al2O3      18-25
TiO2          0-3
MgO          12-20
CaO          10-20
Na2O+K2O     0-3
铁(Fe2O3+FeO)0-3
B2O3         0-3
P2O5         0-4
其它           0-3其中FeO+MgO≥15%的重量。
2.根据权利要求1的矿物纤维,其特征在于其基本包含等量的MgO和CaO。
3.根据权利要求1或2的矿物纤维,其特征在于FeO+MgO+CaO≤32%重量。
4.根据权利要求1,2或3的矿物纤维,其特征在于其具有下述组分,以重量百分数表示:
