Abstract

技术领域
本公开一般地涉及传输框架。更具体地,本公开涉及用于促进在相同或不同栈的组件之间以层不可知方式传送命令消息的方法和系统。
背景技术
互联网和电子商务的激增继续创建大量的数字内容。以内容为中心的网络(CCN)架构已被设计来促进访问并处理这样的数字内容。CCN包括实体或节点,诸如网络客户端、转发器(例如,路由器)和内容产生器,它们通过发送针对各种内容项的“兴趣”分组并且作为回报接收“内容对象”分组来彼此通信。CCN兴趣和内容对象通过其唯一名称来标识,所述唯一名称通常是分层结构化可变长度标识符(HSVLI)。HSVLI可以包括从最一般级别到最具体级别排序的连续名称组件。

发明内容

概要
本发明的实施例通过在更新过程期间使栈组件静默来解决高效地更新CCN节点的栈模块的问题。以这种方式,可以在栈被允许继续常规操作之前在不中断的情况下执行更新所需要的操作。节点提供可以被组合到完成通信功能性的传输“栈”中的一组网络组件。
传输栈内的每个组件执行具体功能,并且一些组件可以实现比相同组件的其他版本更具体或更通用的功能性。一些组件可以在加载时取限定其行为的参数,并且可以基于一些组件从本地应用或者通过网络从装置接收的参数来在运行时配置这些组件。例如,一些组件可以随着时间的推移而适应变化的操作环境条件或网络条件。传输栈提供用于要在组件之间发送的配置消息和信息的方式,从而允许栈内的组件彼此通信。

在一些实施例中,传输栈在CCN架构下操作。在CCN中,每条内容被单独地命名,并且每条数据被绑定到唯一名称,所述唯一名称区分该数据和任一条其他数据,诸如相同数据的其他版本或来自其他源的数据。该唯一名称允许网络装置通过散播指示唯一名称的请求或兴趣来请求数据,并且可以独立于数据的存储位置、网络位置、应用和传输方式而获得数据。以下术语用于描述CCN架构:

兴趣(或“兴趣”):指示对一条数据的请求并且包括用于该条数据的名称(或名称前缀)的分组。数据消费者可跨越以信息为中心的网络散播请求或兴趣,CCN/NDN路由器可向存储装置(例如,高速缓存服务器)或可提供所请求的数据以满足请求或兴趣的数据生成器传播所述请求或兴趣。
此外,“lci”和“ccnx”指代标记内容信息并且指示名称分段承载标签的通用资源指示符(URI)兼容标识符。诸如CCN的网络协议可以通过将具体标签应用于URI的每个名称分段来使用标记内容信息。在分层结构化名称中,标记内容名称为每个分段指派语义类型或标签。例如,一种类型的名称分段可以包括名称分段,其是包括任意八位位组的通用名称分段,这许CCN对于消息使用二进制线上表示。

示例性网络和通信
图1A示出了根据本发明的实施例的促进基于静默更新传输栈的示例性以内容为中心的网络(CCN)。可以是CCN的网络100可以包括客户端装置116、内容产生装置118以及节点102、104、106、108、110、112和114处的路由器或其他转发装置。节点可以是计算机系统、表示用户的端点和/或可生成兴趣或者发起内容对象的装置。假设节点102和104分别具有传输栈130和170。在CCN节点中,常常基于来自管理员代理的指令配置传输栈。传输栈130和170通常在运行时通过显式管理命令来进行修改。
为了更新栈130,节点102通常使栈130静默,使得可以在栈130被允许继续常规操作之前在不中断的情况下执行与更新相关联的操作。类似地,节点104通常使栈170静默以更新栈170。节点102可以使整个栈(例如,栈130的每个组件)和所有消息传输静默,或者仅使具体消息或与具体规则集匹配的消息静默。

通常,转发器适配器238是用于接收暂停兴趣消息272的最终组件。当暂停兴趣消息272到达转发器适配器238时,转发器适配器238使本地组件静默并且确定转发器适配器238与API适配器232之间的相应的组件已被静默。转发器适配器238然后将控制传递给代理210。在一些实施例中,转发器适配器238经由栈230向代理210发送控制消息274(例如,进程间消息)以传递控制。
假设代理210正在更新验证器/签名器236的验证协议。代理210然后生成包括经更新的验证协议的更新消息276并且沿着栈230向下传递更新消息276。验证器/签名器236从栈230的上部组件接收更新消息276,从更新消息276获得经更新的验证协议,并且更新验证器/签名器236。
当更新过程完成时,代理210将控制传递回给转发器适配器238(例如,使用控制消息,其未在图2C中示出)。转发器适配器238构造匹配暂停内容对象278并且沿着传输栈230向上往回发送暂停内容对象278。在接收到暂停内容对象278时,相应的组件重新开始常规操作并且经由栈230向前发送暂停内容对象278。一旦暂停内容对象278到达代理210(或API适配器232),则传输栈230恢复其常规操作。
图2D示出了根据本发明的实施例的传输栈的不成功静默的示例性通信。在一些实施例中,栈组件可以拒绝暂停消息并且以带有可选的拒绝原因的暂停失败消息作出响应。拒绝原因包括但不限于栈组件检测超时事件、处理回流或者识别相互依赖的消息。假设流控制器234未能处理暂停消息252(例如,由于相互依赖而无法刷新缓冲器235)。结果,流控制器234拒绝暂停消息252,生成包括拒绝原因的暂停失败消息280,并且经由栈230向上传递暂停失败消息280。
当暂停失败消息280到达上游栈组件(诸如API适配器232)时,栈组件确定暂停消息252已被拒绝,重新开始常规操作,并且经由栈230向前发送暂停失败消息280。在接收到暂停失败消息280时,代理210确定暂停消息252已被拒绝。代理210可以等待一段时间(例如,随机退避或预定时间)并且重新发出暂停消息252。
操作
图3呈现了示出根据本发明的实施例的用于静默并更新传输栈的方法的流程图300。在操作期间,管理员代理(或栈的头部)沿着传输栈向下发送暂停消息(操作302)并且启动用于暂停确认消息的定时器(操作304)。代理检查代理是否已检测到超时或暂停失败消息(操作306)。如果代理检测到超时或暂停失败消息,则代理等待一段时间(例如,基于随机退避或预定配置)(操作308)并且沿着传输栈向下发送另一暂停消息(操作302)。如果代理未检测到超时或暂停失败消息,则代理接收暂停确认消息(操作310)。
代理然后确定栈已被静默。代理向相应的更新组件(即,代理正在更新的组件)发送更新消息(操作312)。更新消息包括针对更新组件的更新。代理然后检查更新是否已成功(操作314)。在一些实施例中,代理在接收到针对更新消息的确认时确定更新已成功。如果代理确定更新尚未成功,则代理等待一段时间(操作308)并且沿着传输栈向下发送另一暂停消息(操作302)。如果代理确定更新已成功,则代理沿着传输栈向下发送恢复消息(操作316)
图4A呈现了示出根据本发明的实施例的用于静默并更新传输栈的模块的方法的流程图400。在操作期间,不是栈的最终组件的栈组件接收暂停消息(操作402)并且检查暂停消息是否触发拒绝(操作404)。拒绝原因包括但不限于处理回流或者识别相互依赖的消息。如果暂停消息未触发拒绝,则组件沿着传输栈向下将暂停消息传递到下一个组件(操作406)并且刷新残余的本地数据(若有的话)(操作408)
组件然后检查组件是否已接收到暂停确认消息(操作410)。如果组件未接收到暂停确认消息,则组件检查超时事件(操作412)。如果组件检测到超时事件或暂停消息触发拒绝(操作404),则组件生成暂停失败消息并且沿着传输栈向上将暂停失败消息传送到下一个组件(操作414)。另一方面,如果组件未接收到暂停确认消息(操作410)并且未检测到超时事件(操作412),则组件继续刷新残余的本地数据(若有的话)(操作408)。
如果组件接收到暂停确认消息(操作410),则组件将本地状态设置为“静默的”(操作416)并且沿着传输栈向上将暂停确认消息传递到下一个组件(操作418)。如果组件是更新组件(用虚线表示),则组件接收更新消息并且实现对本地组件的更新(操作420)。在一些实施例中,组件可以在成功地更新本地组件时沿着栈向上发送确认。组件然后接收恢复消息(操作422)并且将本地状态设置为“活动的”(操作426)。
图4B呈现了示出根据本发明的实施例的用于静默并更新传输栈的最终栈组件的方法的流程图450。在操作期间,组件接收暂停消息(操作452)并且检查暂停消息是否触发拒绝(操作454)。拒绝原因包括但不限于处理回流或者识别相互依赖的消息。如果暂停消息触发拒绝,则组件生成暂停失败消息并且沿着传输栈向上将暂停失败消息传递到下一个组件(操作468)
如果暂停消息未触发拒绝,则组件刷新残余的本地数据(若有的话)(操作456)并且将本地状态设置为“静默的”(操作458)。组件然后沿着传输栈向上将暂停确认消息传递到下一个组件(操作460)。如果组件是更新组件(用虚线表示),则组件接收更新消息并且实现对本地组件的更新(操作462)。在一些实施例中,组件可在成功地更新本地组件时沿着栈向上发送确认。组件然后接收恢复消息(操作464)并且将本地状态设置为“活动的”(操作466)。
示例性设备和计算机系统
图5示出了根据本发明的实施例的促进基于静默更新传输栈的示例性设备。设备500可以包括多个模块,所述多个模块可以经由有线或无线通信信道彼此通信。设备500可以使用一个或多个集成电路来实现,并且可以包括比图5中示出的那些更少或更多的模块。进一步地,设备500可以被集成在计算机系统中,或者作为能够与其他计算机系统和/或装置进行通信的单独的装置被实现。具体地,设备500可以包括通信模块502、静默模块504、更新模块506和消息递送模块508。
在一些实施例中,通信模块502可以跨越计算机网络(诸如以内容为中心的网络)向其他网络节点发送数据分组/从其他网络节点接收数据分组。静默模块504可以分别基于暂停消息和恢复消息将栈组件的状态设置为“静默的”或“活动的”。静默模块504还可以生成针对暂停消息的确认。在一些实施例中,静默模块504可以刷新组件的本地缓冲器。更新模块506可以基于更新消息更新组件。消息递送模块508可以经由传输栈向组件递送消息(例如,可以沿着栈向上或向下发送消息)。
图6示出了根据本发明的实施例的促进以层不可知方式传送命令消息的示例性计算机系统602。计算机系统602包括处理器604、存储器606和存储装置608。存储器606可以包括用作托管存储器的易失性存储器(例如,RAM),并且可以用于存储一个或多个存储器池。此外,计算机系统602可以耦合到显示装置610、键盘612和指点装置614。存储装置608可以存储操作系统616、栈更新系统618和数据632。
栈更新系统618可以包括指令,所述指令当由计算机系统602或处理器604执行时,可以使计算机系统602或处理器604执行本公开中所描述的方法和/或过程。具体地,栈更新系统618可以包括用于跨越计算机网络(诸如以内容为中心的网络)向其他网络节点发送数据分组/从其他网络节点接收数据分组的指令(通信模块620)。栈更新系统618还可包括用于分别基于暂停消息和恢复消息将栈组件的状态设置为“静默的”或“活动的”的指令(静默模块622)。栈更新系统618还可以包括用于生成针对暂停消息的确认并且刷新组件的本地缓冲器的指令(静默模块622)。
此外,栈更新系统618可以包括用于基于更新消息更新组件的指令(更新模块624)。栈更新系统618可以包括用于经由传输栈向组件递送消息的指令(例如,可以沿着栈向上或向下发送消息)(消息递送模块626)。存储装置608可以存储管理员代理630,其可以生成并发送用于传输栈的暂停消息、恢复消息和更新消息。
数据632可以包括由本公开中所描述的方法和/或过程要求作为输入的并且作为输出而生成的任何数据。具体地,数据632可以包括由相应的组件缓冲的消息。数据632还可包括计算机系统602的转发表。
在此具体实施方式中描述的数据结构和代码通常被存储在计算机可读存储介质上,所述计算机可读存储介质可以是可存储供由计算机系统使用的代码和/或数据的任何装置或介质。计算机可读存储介质包括但不限于易失性存储器、非易失性存储器、诸如磁盘驱动器、磁带、CD(紧致盘)、DVD(数字通用盘或数字视频盘)的磁和光学存储装置,或能够存储现在已知或以后开发的计算机可读介质的其他介质。
可以将在具体实施方式部分中描述的方法和过程具体实现为代码和/或数据,所述代码和/或数据可被存储在如上所述的计算机可读存储介质中。当计算机系统读取并执行存储在计算机可读存储介质上的代码和/或数据时,计算机系统执行具体实现为数据结构和代码并且存储在计算机可读存储介质内的方法和过程。
此外,可以将上述的方法和过程包括在硬件模块中。例如,硬件模块可以包括但不限于专用集成电路(ASIC)芯片、现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)以及现在已知或以后开发的其他可编程逻辑器件。当硬件模块被激活时,硬件模块执行包括在硬件模块内的方法和过程。

Claims (15)
1.一种用于以内容为中心的网络CNN的方法,包括:
在所述CNN的节点的传输栈的多个组件中的组件处执行以下操作:
从所述传输栈中的上部组件接收暂停消息,其中,所述暂停消息是对预先商定的名称的兴趣;
确定所述暂停消息是否被所述组件拒绝;
如果所述暂停消息未被拒绝,则执行以下操作:
响应于接收到所述暂停消息,将所述组件的状态设置为静默的,其中,处于所述静默状态的组件被阻止处理兴趣或内容对象;以及
沿着所述传输栈向上传递所述暂停消息的确认消息,其中,所述确认消息指示所述暂停消息已被所述传输栈的相应的组件成功地处理;
接收更新消息;
基于所述更新消息的内容更新所述组件;以及
响应于接收到恢复消息而将所述组件的状态设置为活动的,其中,处于所述活动状态的组件恢复处理兴趣或内容对象。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述组件是所述传输栈的最终组件;并且
其中,所述方法进一步包括响应于接收到所述暂停消息而生成所述确认消息。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的方法,进一步包括响应于确定所述暂停消息触发拒绝而沿着所述传输栈向上发送更新失败消息。
4.根据权利要求3所述的方法,其中,拒绝原因包括以下各项中的一个或多个:栈组件检测到超时事件、处理回流以及/或者识别相互依赖的消息。
5.根据权利要求1或2所述的方法,其中,所述暂停消息是兴趣消息;并且
其中,所述方法进一步包括将控制转移到管理员代理以便更新所述组件。
6.根据权利要求1或2所述的方法,其中,用于所述传输栈的组件的名称基于以下各项中的一个或多个:
分层结构化可变长度标识符HSVLI,其包括从最一般级别到最具体级别排序的连续名称组件,其中,所述HSVLI适用于与所述栈相对应的入口实例中;
不指示任何层级的扁平名称;
所述栈的组件的角色;以及
特定于所述栈的组件的唯一标识符。
7.一种用于更新传输栈的计算机系统,所述计算机系统包括:
处理器;以及
存储指令的存储装置,所述指令当由所述处理器执行时使所述处理器执行方法,所述方法包括:
在以内容为中心的网络CNN的节点的传输栈的多个组件中的组件处执行以下操作:
从所述传输栈中的上部组件接收暂停消息,其中,所述暂停消息是对预先商定的名称的兴趣;
确定所述暂停消息是否被所述组件拒绝;
如果所述暂停消息未被拒绝,则执行以下操作:
响应于接收到所述暂停消息,将所述组件的状态设置为静默的,其中,处于所述静默状态的组件被阻止处理兴趣或内容对象;以及
沿着所述传输栈向上传递所述暂停消息的确认消息,其中,所述确认消息指示所述暂停消息已被所述传输栈的相应的组件成功地处理;
接收更新消息;
基于所述更新消息的内容更新所述组件;以及
响应于接收到恢复消息而将所述组件的状态设置为活动的,其中,处于所述活动状态的组件恢复处理兴趣或内容对象。
8.根据权利要求7所述的计算机系统,其中,所述组件是所述传输栈的最终组件;并且
其中,所述方法进一步包括响应于接收到所述暂停消息而生成所述确认消息。
9.根据权利要求7或8所述的计算机系统,其中,所述方法进一步包括响应于确定所述暂停消息触发拒绝而沿着所述传输栈向上发送更新失败消息。
10.根据权利要求9所述的计算机系统,其中,拒绝原因包括以下各项中的一个或多个:栈组件检测到超时事件、处理回流或者识别相互依赖的消息。
11.根据权利要求7或8所述的计算机系统,其中,所述暂停消息是兴趣消息;并且
其中,所述方法进一步包括将控制转移到管理员代理以便更新所述组件。
12.根据权利要求7或8所述的计算机系统,其中,用于所述传输栈的组件的名称基于以下各项中的一个或多个:

沿着所述传输栈向上传递所述暂停消息的确认消息,其中,所述确认消息指示所述暂停消息已被所述传输栈的相应的组件成功地处理;
接收更新消息;
基于所述更新消息的内容更新所述组件;以及
响应于接收到恢复消息而将所述组件的状态设置为活动的,其中,处于所述活动状态的组件恢复处理兴趣或内容对象。
14.根据权利要求13所述的非暂时性计算机可读存储介质,其中,所述组件是所述传输栈的最终组件;并且
其中,所述方法进一步包括响应于接收到所述暂停消息而生成所述确认消息。
15.根据权利要求13所述的非暂时性计算机可读存储介质,其中,所述方法进一步包括根据权利要求3-6中的任一项所述的步骤。
