Abstract

背景技术
所有直喷式发动机,汽油发动机和柴油发动机,都绕过进气阀直接将燃料添加到燃烧室以有效燃烧。一些废气和曲轴箱蒸气气体被再循环回到进气口并在进气阀上方。这会导致在歧管和进气阀的上方和周围积聚碳质材料,最终降低燃料效率和性能。
该沉积物中的一些可以通过将清洁组合物添加到进气口中而被去除。目前的清洁组合物通常是基于有机溶剂的,因此仅适用于汽油发动机而不适用于柴油发动机。溶剂的燃料值导致发动机加速的意外增加,有时会导致不受控制的燃烧或失控的燃烧的损害。
发明内容
根据本发明,当发动机运转时,清洁组合物用于通过将清洁组合物注入发动机的进气阀来清洁柴油发动机的进气阀。清洁组合物溶解并去除进气阀上的油性碳质积聚物。
该清洁组合物使用无燃料值的溶剂/表面活性剂和作为载体的水,使其适用于柴油发动机以及汽油发动机。
相同的溶剂/表面活性剂可以与有机载体一起使用,仅用于汽油发动机。
具体实施方式
本发明的清洁组合物包含载体、具有高溶解力和无燃料值的有机溶剂以及合适的表面活性剂和润湿剂。
载体可以是水或有机载体/溶剂。当载体是有机载体时,清洁组合物仅用于汽油发动机。如果载体是水,则清洁组合物可以用于柴油发动机或汽油发动机。在下文列出的所有配方中,载体的量将形成配方达到100%的余量。通常,载体将构成总的组合物的0.1重量%至98重量%,通常为50重量%-90重量%。
在本发明中使用的也被称为表面活性剂/溶剂的有机溶剂必须具有高的溶解力以有效溶解油,例如在进气阀上的碳质积聚物中的油。溶解力可以通过贝壳杉脂丁醇值(kauri-butanol value)或汉森溶解度(Hansen solubility)参数来定义。当由通过ASTMD1133测量的Kb值定义时,有机溶剂应该具有至少100,更通常地500、1000或高于1000的溶解力。有三种不同的汉森溶解度参数:分散参数、极性参数和氢键参数。极性参数更能预测溶剂溶解油性组合物的能力。通常,极性参数应该至少为6,优选为6.4或更高,例如9.5或更高。具有高Kb值或高的极性汉森溶解度参数的溶剂可用于本发明。
有机溶剂应该不具有燃料值,以使其适用于柴油发动机。载体不能在柴油发动机中燃烧。因此,柴油发动机活塞产生的压力不能使有机溶剂燃烧。
适用于本发明的一种类型的有机溶剂是烷基取代的脂肪酰胺,例如N,N-二烷基脂肪酸酰胺,特别是N,N-二甲基-9-癸酰胺。该有机溶剂具有大于1000的溶解力,并且还具有以下汉森溶解度参数:分散参数:16.58,极性参数:9.58,氢键参数:8.45。
可以使用其他具有高溶解力的脂肪酸酰胺和酰胺酯。这些中的许多公开于PCT申请2013/162926中,其公开内容通过引用并入本文。
另一种合适的有机溶剂是羟基丁酸烷基酯。特别是3-羟基丁酸丁酯。该有机溶剂具有大于100的溶解力,并且进一步具有以下汉森溶解度参数:分散参数:16.13,极性参数:6.541,氢键参数:11.52。通常,本发明的清洁组合物将包含0.5重量%至50重量%的有机溶剂。更特别地,2%至20%,例如2%、3%、4%、5%、6%、7%、8%、9%、10%、15%或20%。
水基清洁组合物将包括非离子表面活性剂。任何可以在载体和有机溶剂之间形成微乳液的非离子表面活性剂均可用于本发明。典型的非离子表面活性剂包括聚氧乙烯二醇,例如辛乙二醇单十二烷基醚或五乙二醇单十二烷基醚;聚氧丙烯二醇;葡糖苷烷基醚,例如癸基葡糖苷、月桂基葡糖苷或辛基葡糖苷;聚氧乙烯二醇辛基苯酚醚,例如TRITON聚氧乙烯二醇烷基苯酚醚,例如壬苯醇醚-9;甘油烷基酯,例如甘油月桂酸酯;聚氧乙烯二醇脱水山梨糖醇烷基酯,例如聚山梨醇酯;脱水山梨糖醇烷基酯;椰油酰胺MEA;椰油酰胺DEA;十二烷基二甲基氧化胺;聚乙二醇和聚丙二醇和聚乙氧基化牛脂胺的嵌段共聚物以及许多其它物质。这些非离子表面活性剂必须有效地产生载体和有机溶剂的微乳液。通常,清洁组合物将包括0.5重量%至5重量%的非离子表面活性剂。
此外,本发明的组合物将包括润湿剂。典型的润湿剂包括界面活性剂(表面活性剂)。一种适用于本发明的润湿剂是亚什兰公司(Ashland Inc.)的Easy-Wet20,它是多种非离子表面活性剂的混合物;十一烷醇+EO聚乙氧基化物,1-辛基-2-吡咯烷酮,1-十一烷醇和阴离子表面活性剂,十二烷基硫酸钠。0.02重量%的Easy-Wet 20显著地将表面张力降低至30达因/厘米以下。这可以以0.1重量%至20重量%的量使用。
本发明还可以包括螯合剂,例如亚氨基二琥珀酸钠盐。如果存在,则螯合剂可以形成配方重量的0.1%至20%。螯合剂起到结合存在于释放的污垢中的金属离子的作用。该配方可以进一步包括腐蚀抑制剂以保护清洁的金属,腐蚀抑制剂通常以约0.1%至10.0%的量存在。本发明可以进一步包括香料和杀虫剂。香料以任何需要的量存在,通常为0.001重量%至1.0重量%,杀虫剂通常以0.01重量%至2.0%的量存在。
优选地,水基清洁组合物应该具有通常在9-11范围内的碱性pH,特别是约10.5。如果需要,可以添加碱、例如碳酸钠来改变pH值。
为了形成本发明的清洁组合物,将有机溶剂与非离子表面活性剂和腐蚀抑制剂混合。随后将水引入混合物中并继续混合。随着这种混合继续进行,加入螯合剂、香料、杀虫剂,最后加入润湿剂,并继续混合直至形成稳定的微乳液。
本发明的组合物可以在发动机的使用寿命期间的任何时间点使用,但是通常将在发动机已经使用相当长的时间段之后(例如汽车或卡车达到100000英里数的时间)使用,或者当汽车或卡车的汽油里程数开始减少时使用。因此,它可以用于性能下降的发动机和车辆,或者仅是定期使用作为预防性维护。
通常,约5盎司至约100盎司、或20盎司至40盎司的清洁组合物将通过进气系统引入到进气阀中。如果进气阀上的沉积物特别严重或如果性能问题通过管道镜或OBD扫描工具确认,则可以添加另外的清洁组合物。注射速度应该是每小时约3加仑。
测试了以下配方:
在118000英里的直喷式柴油VW Golf上测试上述配方。进气阀上有大量黑色沉积物。当汽车行驶时,上述配方被注入进气口。在前20分钟内注入四夸脱,五分之一夸脱以每小时3加仑的速率注入,最后的夸托以每小时3.5加仑的速率注入。这导致了清洁的进气阀、EGR阀和燃料轨道。

也可以使用基于非水有机载体的系统,但仅用于汽油发动机。这种配方将包括以上讨论的高溶解力有机溶剂,通常为1.0重量%至约90重量%,通常为2重量%-20重量%。此外,这将具有有机载体以及表面活性剂,其结合形成稳定的溶液。将非离子表面活性剂、阳离子表面活性剂和阴离子表面活性剂添加到载体中用于那些具有挑战性的清洁沉积物的乳化,并且为了更好的铺展性而添加润湿剂。可以添加腐蚀抑制剂用于清洁金属表面的保护。适用于本发明的一种特殊载体是丙酸正丙酯,其是可燃载体。其他合适的载体包括丙酸戊酯、丙酸正丁酯、异丙酸异丁酯和乙二醇醚EB。这将形成配方达到100%的余量。通常载体将为本发明的1重量%至约99重量%。
除了载体和有机溶剂之外,本发明将包括有效维持稳定溶液的表面活性剂或表面活性剂混合物。表面活性剂可以是之前列出的任何非离子表面活性剂。可以使用阳离子表面活性剂和非离子表面活性剂的混合物。一种这样的表面活性剂混合物是来自Akzo NobelSurface Chemistry LLC的Berol 226SA。该表面活性剂是非离子表面活性剂乙氧基化醇和阳离子季胺化合物的混合物。通常,表面活性剂将为清洁组合物的0.1重量%至约50重量%。上述表面活性剂混合物通常支持润湿,但是润湿剂可以单独添加以支持更好的铺展和更好的清洁,并且将使用0.1重量%至约20重量%、通常为约1.0%。最后,香料将以0.01重量%至2.0重量%的浓度水平使用,通常为0.1重量%。
有机溶剂载体配方通过将高溶解力有机溶剂与有机溶剂载体和表面活性剂体系一起简单地组合而形成。将这些混合在一起,并且在混合时,可以加入润湿剂以及芳香剂和任何其它所需成分(例如螯合剂)。由于有机溶剂的溶解力,该组合物可以再次加入到如前所述的汽油发动机的进气系统中,以有效地去除进气阀处的积聚物。清洁组合物的施用速率以及总量将与水基配方大致相同。
因此,本发明提供了清洁组合物和使用该清洁组合物去除柴油发动机或汽油发动机的进气阀上的油性碳质积聚物的方法。这将有效地延长发动机的使用寿命并提供改善的整体性能。
这是对本发明以及实践本发明的方法的说明。然而,本发明应由所附权利要求限定。
Claims (32)
1.一种清洁发动机的进气阀的方法,包含:
当发动机运转时,将清洁组合物引入所述发动机的进气口中;
所述清洁组合物包含:
包括有机溶剂的微乳液,所述有机溶剂具有足够低的以使所述有机溶剂不在柴油发动机中燃烧的燃料值并且具有有效溶解所述进气阀上的积聚物的溶解力;
水;
有效地形成所述有机溶剂和所述水的微乳液的表面活性剂。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述表面活性剂是非离子表面活性剂。
3.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其中,所述清洁组合物还包括润湿剂。
4.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述有机溶剂的Kb值大于100。

12.一种清洁组合物,包含:

有机载体;
