Abstract
本信号系统包括一个低压稀薄气体放电灯(1),该灯具有带有电极(3)的管状灯管(2)。该灯放置于一个带有光发射窗(11)和反光装置(12)的盒体(10)中。该盒体具有构成反光装置的反光内表面和封闭光发射窗的伸长的聚光透镜。该盒体可以带有一个槽使得灯部分地埋于凹陷处,还可以通过胶粘剂(4)将灯安全的粘住。本系统的结构简单,并且即使在尺寸非常小的时候也能满足做刹车灯的必要条件。
Description
本发明涉及一个包括以下部分的信号系统:
一个带有两端各包含一个电极的管状灯管的低压稀薄气体放电灯,和
一个带有光发射窗和反光装置的盒体,盒体中放置着该低压稀薄气体放电灯。
这样的一个信号系统可以从US-A4,682,146中得知。
已知的系统用于刹车灯,例如放置在汽车上的一个相当高的位置。其它的应用如尾灯或转弯指示灯。
这样的系统在盒体中有一个电传导的反射镜。它可以应用于靠在汽车背后或凹陷在其中的位置,或者安装在这样的汽车内部,例如在后窗的后面。这样的已知系统的缺点是它相当大。对它的描述是管状灯管的横断面的尺寸为2×2平方英寸(约5×5平方厘米)。由于它的高度相当大,当系统安装在后窗后面时挡住了相当多的后视镜的视线。当安装在汽车后面时,由于它的深度相当大,系统使得它需要在汽车的车体上开窗以将系统埋于其中。
已知系统的另一个缺点是从光发射窗中可以看见两条平行的暗条纹,这是由充氖/氩灯的每一个放电端的灯管壁形成的。因此,系统在运作过程中具有不同的亮度。
一种在EP-A 0 562 679(PHN14.189)中已知的低压稀薄气体放电灯适于在该信号系统中使用。该灯具有管状电极并填充诸如氖、氖/氦、或氩,充氩的灯可能还覆盖有诸如硅锌矿这样的荧光物质。该灯的内径可以是1.5到7mm,例如3.5±1.5mm。
在早期的EP申请94 202 708.7(PHN15.023)中,这样的低压稀薄气体放电灯被描述成一个包着电子发射极并且在每一个管状电极的前面两端上存在开口,该管通过导电装置连接到关联的电极。上述的装置在管和电极之间形成了一个热阻。
本发明的一个目的是提供一个如开篇的段落中所描述类型的信号系统,它具有简单的结构,小巧的设计并在运作过程中提供均匀的亮度。
根据本发明,这个目的是这样实现的,且盒体具有一个由反射内表面构成的反光装置和一个聚焦线与该灯重合的伸长的聚光透镜,并且该透镜封闭光发射窗。
反光装置和盒体是一个整体。确实,较高的反射率和低吸收对于将照到反射装置上的光尽可能多地反射到光发射窗是有用的,但由于它是用于没有荧光壁的灯,高反射能力就没有必要了。根据本发明的系统有可能带有一个只有几厘米高的盒体,例如2到3cm,以提高使用传统的白炽灯的系统实现的亮度。
好的设计是盒体有一个位于光发射窗对面的伸长的槽,该灯部分凹于槽中。这样光发射窗和盒体就可以有一个更小的高度。该槽和灯管具有大体一致的曲率是有好处的。照到槽壁上的射线因此接近于垂直入射在这个壁上,并且大部分沿同样的路径反射回灯。另外,本实施例提供了将灯用胶粘剂固定在上述槽上的可能性。用这种办法很容易实现灯相对于透镜的正确位置。作为另一种选择,灯可以用诸如螺丝扣固定在盒体上。
盒体全部的内表面或者槽的内表面可以是由诸如蒸发沉积的金属膜或干涉膜形成的镜面。这仅当灯只从它的表面发射光时才是有好处的,如灯管具有荧光物质的情况,例如它覆盖着荧光粉,例如一个充有氙气并且锌硅酸盐被锰(硅锌矿)激发的灯。如果灯从它的整个体积发射光,如填充诸如氙气、氖气、或氖/氩的非荧光灯的情况,好的盒体的实施例是有一个漫散射的内表面,例如由喷漆装置获得的,诸如白色或灰色的油漆或所发出的光的颜色的油漆或盒体周围颜色的油漆。作为另一种选择,该盒体可以由反复涂色的合成树脂构成。还有一种选择,盒体可以是金属的,例如,AC-操作的灯的情况。
我们发现在漫反射的情况下,反射内表面的形状不是非常具有决定性的。例如在剖面图上远离光发射窗的地方,表面可以是圆形的或抛物线形的,并且接近光发射窗地方,在向着该窗的方向上线性展宽。另外,它可以在槽以外的地方完全是抛物线形的。这个形状对于镜反射表面也适用。
灯管具有一个如2.5±0.5mm的小内径是有好处的。这样的灯比内径较大的灯具有更高的亮度,前者更多地提高了系统产生的波束中的光通量。
在好的实施例中,透镜在它的外表面的剖面上是抛物线。内表面在剖面上例如可以是凸的圆曲线。当透镜在它的内表面中心凸圆曲线的每一边有边缘区域时,透镜的内表面具有低反射率是有益的,该边缘区域位于平面上,在特别的情况下,是具有相当小的圆曲率,相当大的曲率半径的凹面。这些边缘区域也有益于光线在围绕波束中心线的几度的小角内的波束方向上传播。
透镜可以用玻璃或合成树脂制造并且可以是无色的,或具有将发射的光的颜色,或具有它的周围的颜色,例如汽车车体的颜色。
根据本发明的信号系统的实施例如附图所示,其中
图1是第一个实施例的透视图;
图2是图1放大比例的剖面图;
图3是另一个实施例的剖面图。
在图1和2中,信号系统包括一个低压稀薄气体放电灯1,该灯带有一个两个末端分别包括各自的电极3的灯管2。该灯装在一个带有光发射窗11和反光装置12的盒体10中。
上述盒体有一个反射内表面因此形成一个反光装置12。该盒体还有一个聚焦线20’与灯1重合的伸长的聚焦透镜20。该透镜封闭光发射窗11。
在所示的实施例中,该盒体是白色的聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯造的,透镜是透明的聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯,所以盒体1的内表面是漫反射的。在一个改型中,盒体也是透明的聚甲基丙烯酸化甲酯造的,里面喷成白色,外面喷成暗黑色。该盒体在两端用塑料盖子封闭。
盒体10有一个对着光发射窗11的长槽13,灯1部分深入其中。槽13和灯管2大体上有同样的曲率。
灯1被几个带有胶粘剂的点4固定在槽13中。
所示的灯的灯管2的内径是2.5±0.5mm,壁厚大约是0.6mm。
所示的透镜20的外表面在剖面图上大体具有抛物线的形状。它的内表面22在剖面图上大体具有凸圆的形状。透镜的内表面22在剖面图上的中心区域23的两边都有一个圆曲率相当小的凹边缘区域24。
灯的长度约是40cm并且填充着25毫巴(mbar)氖。用直流电压工作,在额定功率下,灯的电流大约是8mA。
在所示的实施例中,透镜的外表面根据y2=5.56×[mm2]弯曲,中心区域的内表面从曲率中心度量突出27°角,半径是10mm,边缘区域的凹处的半径是6mm。槽的外面,盒体在剖面图上根据半径5mm的圆弧弯曲。光发射窗的尺寸是390×8mm2,所以盒体不大于420×11×10mm3。
在图3的实施例中使用同样的透镜20。盒体30的里面在剖面图中槽33的区域是梯形的,并且邻接于一个抛物线形的内表面32a,在32a上边,其内表面32b线性展宽到光发射窗31。在这里使用完全一样的灯1。
对图1和2的系统的光特性进行了测量并与用于汽车的中央、高位置刹车灯的欧洲标准集进行了比较。结果列于表1中。

Claims (9)
1.一种信号系统,包括:
带有一个管状灯管(2)的低压稀薄气体放电灯(1),灯管的两个末端各包括一个相应的电极3,以及
一个带有光发射窗(11)和反光装置(12)的盒体(10),上述低压稀薄气体放电灯(1)容纳于其中,
其特征在于,盒体具有一个形成光反射装置(12)的反射内表面和一个聚焦线(20’)与灯(1)重合的伸长的聚焦透镜,该透镜封闭光发射窗(11)。
2.根据权利要求1的信号系统,其特征在于,盒体(10)在对着光发射窗(11)的地方有一个长槽(13),灯(1)部分深入其中。
3.根据权利要求2的信号系统,其特征在于,槽(13)和灯管(2)大体上具有相同的曲率。
4.根据权利要求1或2的信号系统,其特征在于,盒体(1)的内表面是漫反射的。
5.根据权利要求1或2的信号系统,其特征在于,灯管(2)的内径是2.5±0.5毫米。
6.根据权利要求1或2的信号系统,其特征在于,透镜(20)的外表面在剖面图上大体上是抛物线形。
7.根据权利要求6的信号系统,其特征在于,透镜(20)的内表面在剖面图上大体上是凸圆形。
8.根据权利要求7的信号系统,其特征在于,透镜(22)的内表面在剖面图上的中心区域(23)的两边有一个相当小的凹圆曲率的边缘区域(24)。
9.根据权利要求2或3的信号系统,其特征在于,灯(1)被用胶粘剂(4)固定在槽(13)中。
