参照图1-3,总体上示出了配备有用于提供车辆外部照明的一对照明总成12的自动轮式车辆10。在所示的实施例中,照明总成12被配置为位于车辆10前侧靠近相对拐角附近的大灯或前照灯总成。照明总成12为车辆10提供外部照明,例如将光投射到车辆10的前方以及道路上的高低光束前照灯照明。应当理解,照明总成12可以位于车辆10上的其他位置,并且可以配置为提供其他照明功能,例如尾灯、转向灯、雾灯、日间行车灯或其他照明功能。

根据一个实施例,发光图像可以是容易识别的车辆10的标志或象征。可以提供图像图案开口24的多种形状和尺寸中的任何一种。另外,任何车辆外部灯可以配置为包括可伸缩盖总成20。图像图案开口24可以形成在可伸缩盖22的一个或多个元件中。可伸缩盖22可以由金属或其他材料制造。尽管可伸缩盖22在本文中被示出和描述为具有第一和第二枢转门22A和22B,但是应当理解,可以采用可伸缩盖22的其他构造,例如用于在打开和关闭位置之间移动的一个或多个滑动门。此外,应当理解,根据另一个实施例,照明图像图案可以由形成在可伸缩盖22内的半透明材料形成。
因此,车辆照明总成12可以有利地被操作以经由致动器34来关闭可伸缩盖22并且激活光源90和/或光环26以穿过在处于关闭位置的可伸缩盖22中的图像图案开口24来提供发光图像图案。当车辆10的操作者16接近车辆10并且在车辆10的预定距离内(如通过密钥卡或其它传感器的位置感测到的)时,这可能是期望的。另外,当车辆10在白天期间或在不需要全大灯照明的其他时间被驱动时,照明总成12可以操作以产生发光图像。因此,在可伸缩盖22的关闭位置看到的发光图像为车辆10提供造型特征。
应当理解,在不脱离本发明的概念的情况下,可以对上述结构进行变化和修改,并且进一步地应当理解,这些概念旨在由所附权利要求覆盖,除非这些权利要求通过他们的语言另有明确说明。

Claims (20)

1.一种车辆照明总成,包含:
壳体,所述壳体限定光输出窗口;
光源,所述光源设置成引导光通过所述光输出窗口;以及
可伸缩盖,所述可伸缩盖可在露出所述光输出窗口的打开位置和覆盖所述光输出窗口以限定发光图像图案的关闭位置之间致动。
2.根据权利要求1所述的车辆照明总成,其中所述照明总成被用作前照灯,以及所述壳体包含限定所述光输出窗口的边框。
3.根据权利要求1所述的车辆照明总成,其中所述可伸缩盖包括在所述打开位置和所述关闭位置之间枢转的第一和第二枢转门。
4.根据权利要求3所述的车辆照明总成,其中所述第一门和所述第二门在所述关闭位置沿着边缘重叠。
5.根据权利要求1所述的车辆照明总成,其中所述光源包含投射灯。
6.根据权利要求1所述的车辆照明总成,其中所述盖具有限定所述发光图像图案的形状的一个或多个图像限定开口。
7.根据权利要求1所述的车辆照明总成,其中所述可伸缩盖由致动器致动。
8.根据权利要求7所述的车辆照明总成,其中所述可伸缩盖被弹簧所弹性偏置并且由所述致动器致动。
9.根据权利要求8所述的车辆照明总成,其中所述弹簧将所述盖偏置到所述关闭位置,并且其中所述致动器将所述盖致动到所述打开位置。
10.根据权利要求1所述的车辆照明总成,进一步包含设置在所述壳体内的光环,所述光环用于当所述盖处于所述关闭位置时产生光。
11.根据权利要求10所述的车辆照明总成,进一步包含开关,所述开关能够由所述盖在所述打开位置和所述关闭位置中的一个位置致动,以当所述盖处于所述关闭位置时启动所述光环。
12.一种车辆前照灯总成,包括:
边框,所述边框限定光输出窗口;
光源,所述光源设置成引导光穿过所述窗口;
可伸缩盖,所述可伸缩盖可在打开位置和覆盖所述窗口以限定发光的图像图案的关闭位置之间致动;以及
致动器,所述致动器用于在所述打开位置和所述关闭位置之间致动所述可伸缩盖。
13.根据权利要求12所述的车辆前照灯总成,其中所述可伸缩盖包括在所述打开位置和所述关闭位置之间枢转的第一和第二枢转门。
14.根据权利要求13所述的车辆前照灯总成,其中,所述第一门和所述第二门在所述关闭位置沿着边缘重叠。
15.根据权利要求12所述的车辆前照灯总成,其中所述光源包括投射灯。
16.根据权利要求12所述的车辆前照灯总成,其中所述盖具有一个或多个图像限定开口。
17.根据权利要求12所述的车辆前照灯总成,其中所述可伸缩盖被弹簧所弹性偏置。
18.根据权利要求17所述的车辆前照灯总成,其中所述弹簧将所述盖偏置到所述关闭位置,并且其中所述致动器在通电时打开所述盖。
19.根据权利要求12所述的车辆前照灯总成,进一步包含设置在所述壳体内用于在所述关闭位置产生光的光环。
20.根据权利要求19所述的车辆前照灯总成,进一步包含开关,所述开关能够由所述盖在所述打开位置和所述关闭位置中的一个位置致动,以当所述盖处于所述关闭位置时启动所述光环。
