本发明公开了一种电连接器及安装有该电连接器的电子设备,电连接器包括本体、承载在本体的端子及外壳。所述本体包括基部及自基部向前延伸的对接舌板,所述端子包括裸露在对接舌板的对接面的接触部及延伸出基部的接脚。所述外壳包括固定在基部的固定部及包围对接舌板而形成收容空间的对接部。所述外壳为非钣金弯折件,其对接部在对应对接舌板的两个侧面处设置有两个相对的短壁,在对应对接舌板的两个对接面处仅设置一个长壁或者不设置长壁而使得对接舌板的至少一个对接面在垂直于对接部的方向上呈裸露状态。与现有技术相比,本发明的外壳为非钣金弯折件且去除一个或者两个长壁,可以在保证电连接器外壳强度的同时降低其占用电子设备空间。

【技术领域】
本发明涉及一种电连接器,其安装于一个电子设备。
【背景技术】
2014年8月11日,USB协会公布了一种新型的电连接器,其插头连接器能够正反两个方向插入对应的插座连接器,该插座连接器能够传输USB2.0及USB3.1信号,这个连接器命名为USB Type C连接器。根据目前业界报道的新闻,该电连接器后续有较大的发展潜力,各连接器厂商配合系统厂商积极开发中。
实用新型专利公告第204651582U号专利公开了一种USB Type C插座连接器,其防水金属外壳是由金属材料注塑成型的,金属外壳具有一定的厚度。该等防水连接器一般使用在便携式设备,比如手机及平板电脑上,该等便携式设备越来越趋向小型化,具有一定厚度及形状的金属外壳则不能满足该需要。
所以,希望提供一种改良型的电连接器。
【发明内容】
本发明所要解决的技术问题在于提供一种电连接器及安装有该电连接器的电子设备,其具有低高度。
为解决上述技术问题,本发明可采用如下技术方案:一种电连接器,其包括本体、承载在本体的端子及外壳,所述本体包括基部及自基部向前延伸的对接舌板,所述对接舌板定义有两个相对的对接面及连接对接面的两个相对侧面,所述端子包括裸露在对接舌板的对接面的接触部及延伸出基部的接脚;所述外壳包括固定在基部的固定部及包围对接舌板而形成收容空间的对接部;所述外壳为非钣金弯折件,所述外壳的对接部在对应所述对接舌板的两个侧面处设置有两个相对的短壁,所述外壳的对接部在对应所述对接舌板的两个对接面处仅设置一个长壁或者不设置长壁而使得对接舌板的至少一个对接面在垂直于对接部的方向上呈裸露状态。
本发明还可采用如下技术方案:一种电子设备,其包括外壳、电连接器及电路板,所述外壳设有插接口;所述电连接器安装在电路板且安装在外壳内;所述电连接器包括本体、承载在本体的端子及外壳,所述本体包括基部及自基部向前延伸的对接舌板,所述对接舌板定义有两个相对的对接面及连接对接面的两个相对侧面,所述端子包括裸露在对接舌板的对接面的接触部及延伸出基部而连接于电路板的接脚;所述外壳包括固定在基部的固定部及包括对接舌板而形成收容空间的对接部;所述外壳为非钣金弯折件,所述外壳的对接部在对应所述对接舌板的两个侧面处设置有两个相对的短壁,所述外壳的对接部在对应所述对接舌板的两个对接面处仅设置一个长壁或者不设置长壁;所述对接部的两个短壁与外壳的插接口相连通。
与现有技术相比,本发明的外壳为非钣金弯折件且去除一个或者两个长壁,可以在保证电连接器外壳强度的同时降低其占用电子设备空间。

【具体实施方式】
参图1至图2,本发明公开了一种低构型的电连接器100,该电连接器100为安装在电路板200上的插座连接器,同时电连接器安装在电子设备300外壳301内,电子设备的外壳301具有插接口302,电连接器的插接部100a凸伸入该插接口302,以供外部线缆连接器的插头连接器插入,实现电性连接。
参图7,同时结合图图5及图6,所述电连接器100包括本体40、承载在本体的端子50及外壳60,所述本体40包括基部41及自基部向前延伸的对接舌板42,对接舌板42定义有两个相对的对接面421及连接对接面的两个相对侧面422,所述端子50包括裸露在对接舌板的对接面421的接触部51及延伸出基部41的接脚52,接触部与接脚之间由连接部53连接在一起,连接部53埋设在本体40内。所述本体一般由绝缘材料一体注塑而形成绝缘本体。
外壳60包括固定在基部41的固定部61及包围对接舌板42而形成收容空间621的对接部62。本实施例中,所述外壳60是由金属粉末射出成型方法制造形成的,其包括两个短壁622及一个长壁623,结合图2,外壳的对接部62在对应对接舌板42的两个侧面422处设置有两个相对的所述短壁622,在对应一个对接面421(即上对接面)处仅设置一个上长壁623a,所述长、短的定义是指从前向后看对接部对应壁面的相对长度而言。在其他实施例中,可以不设上长壁而改成设置下长壁,总之,如此设置可以使得对接舌板42的至少一个表面421在垂直于对接部62的方向A-A上呈裸露状态;也可以如图11所示,将上长壁也省略,即对接部62不设置长壁而使得对接舌板的两个对接面422在垂直于对接部的方向A-A上均呈裸露状态。结合图9所示,所述短壁622的内壁面6222为弧状,短壁的外壁面6221呈平面结构。长壁的厚度a较所述短壁的厚度b小。当对接的插头连接器插入收容空间621时,两个短壁自由端6223a、6223b之间的连线与所述插头连接器对应的外表面相重合。本发明的外壳为由金属材料一体注塑而成,相较于钣金弯折(Bending)而形成的低强度金属外壳,在提供遮蔽作用时可以提供更好强度,当然在电子设备外壳的颜色匹配上也留有更多的颜色调配空间。在去除部分或者完全去除长壁时,可以避免为保证高强度时而过多占用空间的问题,外壳的两个相对短壁有足够的强度,提供限制插头连接器正确插入的收容空间。当然,该外壳可以压铸锌合金或者钣金冲压成型而形成金属外壳,或者由强度较好的绝缘材料射出形成而形成绝缘外壳,相对而言,绝缘外壳则无防止信号干扰的遮蔽效果。
结合图5及图6,外壳的固定部61包括两个短壁611及两个长壁612、613,两个上壁包括上长壁613及下长壁612,其中下长壁612的前端面6131与基部41的前端面411在垂直对接部的方向A-A上彼此平齐。上长壁613与对接部的上长壁623一体延伸且共面,所述端子的接脚52位于下长壁612的后方。固定部61的上长壁的后边缘弯折出后壁615,后壁615焊接在所述固定部的短壁611的后端面。上长壁在固定部与对接部交界处向下凸伸有两个抵挡块63,本体的基部向前抵挡在抵挡块63后,防止本体40向前过度伸出.
参图7,所述固定部61的两个短壁611分别横向延伸出安装翼614,安装翼设置有安装孔6141。所述电路板200包括向前凸伸的承载部21,承载部上设置有导电片211。结合图3及图6所示,两个安装翼612之间裸露有主体40,所述端子的接脚52呈前后两排排列。在电连接器100安装在电路板200时,所述电路板的承载部21设置在两个安装翼614之间,承载部21同时向前抵靠在外壳固定部的下长壁612的后端面,本体上凸伸的定位柱412穿过电路板的定位孔22而实现初步的定位及固定,端子的接脚52与电路板的导电片211彼此接触,。在电连接器100与电路板200一起安装在电子设备300的外壳时,安装翼614通过螺栓而固定在电子设备的外壳上。参图4,所述外壳60(包括后壁615)与电路板200之间留有一定的间距g,用来供接地装置的连接。
所述电连接器100还包括位于本体40内的遮蔽板70,所述端子分别两排且排列在对接舌板的两侧,遮蔽板设置在两排端子之间且具有凸伸出对接舌板的锁扣侧缘71,遮蔽板的前边缘整体向前凸伸出对应的对接舌板,可以防止对接时的短路。
参图7及图8,所述电连接器100还包括遮蔽环80。所述对接舌板42设有邻近基部41的根部424,遮蔽环包覆在根部424,所述遮蔽环80进一步延伸有搭接片81,所述搭接片81搭接固定部的长壁613、612(参图5),搭接片与长壁可以通过镭射焊接作进一步的焊接固定。遮蔽环80也在其横向两侧接触遮蔽板70,两者也可以通过镭射焊接做进一步的固定,遮蔽板在其锁扣侧缘71的后方形成阻挡片72,阻挡片72大致位于根部424处,所述阻挡片可以防止对接连接器的过度插入,同时该阻挡片与遮蔽环80沿前后方向彼此搭接。结合图10,遮蔽环80为两片,遮蔽环的两端具有彼此扣合的扣合孔831及扣合块832。搭接片81包括上搭接片81a及下搭接片81b,上搭接片81a包括自上遮蔽半环80a延伸的连接部812及自连接部继续延伸的延伸部813,连接部812的宽度大于延伸部813,下搭接片81b自下遮蔽半环80b延伸且具有彼此独立的两个,参图6,所述外壳的固定部61在下长壁处设置有两个与下搭接片81b对应的凹陷6123,通过在凹陷6123出直接进行镭射焊接,可以讲下搭接片与外壳做进一步的焊接固定。

图12及图13显示了电连接器中进一步改进的遮蔽板91、上排端子921、下排端子922、上遮蔽半环923及下遮蔽半环924,其中遮蔽板91不再是由金属片冲压形成,而是由金属板锻造形成,遮蔽板的两侧具有加厚部911,加厚部的外部横向凸伸锁扣侧缘912及阻挡片913。上遮蔽半环923延伸出后壁9231,该后壁覆盖本体的后端面,如此,外壳60则无需设置后壁615,如此可以大大简化外壳的成型过程。
图14显示了本体向前延伸出的限制凸肋961结构,该限制凸肋961限制插头连接器的插入。图15显示了一种堆叠电连接器,钣金弯折的金属外壳具有向内凸伸边缘960,该凸伸边缘包覆部分下连接器,同时构成上电连接器的插入空间。

Claims (10)

1.一种电连接器,其包括本体、承载在本体的端子及外壳,所述本体包括基部及自基部向前延伸的对接舌板,所述对接舌板定义有两个相对的对接面及连接对接面的两个相对侧面,所述端子包括裸露在对接舌板的对接面的接触部及延伸出基部的接脚;所述外壳包括固定在基部的固定部及包围对接舌板而形成收容空间的对接部;其特征在于:所述外壳为非钣金弯折件,所述外壳的对接部在对应所述对接舌板的两个侧面处设置有两个相对的短壁,所述外壳的对接部在对应所述对接舌板的两个对接面处仅设置一个长壁或者不设置长壁而使得对接舌板的至少一个表面在垂直于对接部的方向上呈裸露状态。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述短壁的内壁面为弧状,短壁的外壁面呈平面结构。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述电连接器用来供一个对接连接器对接,所述两个短壁自由端之间的连线与所述对接连接器对应的外表面相重合。
4.如权利要求1、2或者3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述长壁的厚度较所述短壁的厚度小。
5.如权利要求1、2或者3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述外壳的固定部包括两个短壁及两个长壁,所述长壁的前端面与基部的前端面在垂直对接部的方向上彼此平齐。
6.如权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述固定部的长壁包括上长壁及下长壁,所述固定部的上长壁与所述对接部的长壁一体延伸且共面,所述端子的接脚位于下长壁的后方。
7.如权利要求6所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述固定部的上长壁的后边缘弯折出后壁,所述后壁焊接在所述固定部短壁的后端面。
8.如权利要求7所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述固定部的两个短壁分别横向延伸出安装翼,所述安装翼设置有安装孔。
9.如权利要求8所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述电连接器包括遮蔽环,遮蔽环包围在对接舌板邻近基部的根部,所述遮蔽环延伸有搭接片,所述搭接片搭接固定部的长壁;所述遮蔽环接触遮蔽板;所述遮蔽板在对应遮蔽环处设置有抵挡片。
10.一种电子设备,其包括外壳、电连接器及电路板,所述外壳设有插接口;所述电连接器安装在电路板且安装在外壳内;所述电连接器包括本体、承载在本体的端子及外壳,所述本体包括基部及自基部向前延伸的对接舌板,所述对接舌板定义有两个相对的对接面及连接对接面的两个相对侧面,所述端子包括裸露在对接舌板的对接面的接触部及延伸出基部而连接于电路板的接脚;所述外壳包括固定在基部的固定部及包围对接舌板而形成收容空间的对接部;其特征在于:所述外壳为非钣金弯折件,所述外壳的对接部在对应所述对接舌板的两个侧面处设置有两个相对的短壁,所述外壳的对接部在对应所述对接舌板的两个对接面处仅设置一个长壁或者不设置长壁;所述对接部的两个短壁与外壳的插接口相连通。
