在产品中和在使用产品的表面上控制细菌为现有挑战。例如，大肠杆菌(E.coli)为有挑战性的要控制的细菌。与格兰氏阳性细菌相比，大肠杆菌为格兰氏阴性细菌，其在细胞壁中具有另外的外膜和更高量的肽聚糖。就是这一点使得大肠杆菌的控制更具挑战性。虽然已知一些材料提供一定抗菌效果，但期望开发改进这些材料。一种这样的改进是提供细菌杀灭同时使用较少的材料。

发明概述
一种包含百里酚和桃拓酚的抗菌组合物。对于这两种材料，该组合具有协同作用，使得可使用较少量的任一种材料。

优选实施方案的以下描述为示例性质的。
一种包含百里酚和桃拓酚的抗菌组合物。百里酚与桃拓酚的组合提供协同效果，与单独的每一种材料相比，其需要较少的任一种材料。协同效果有效抗格兰氏阴性细菌(例如大肠杆菌)和格兰氏阳性细菌(例如金黄色葡萄球菌(S.aureus))。
当发现如下计算的分级抑制浓度小于或等于0.75时，发现协同作用。
在某些实施方案中，百里酚与桃拓酚的重量比为5:1至1:5。在其它实施方案中，重量比为3.21:1至1:3.21或1.56:1至1:1.56。在其它实施方案中，百里酚与桃拓酚的重量比为5:1、1:5、3.21:1、1:3.21、1.56:1、1:1.56或1:1中的一个。
在1.56:1至1:1.56范围内，百里酚和桃拓酚的组合对于格兰氏阴性细菌大肠杆菌和格兰氏阳性细菌金黄色葡萄球菌二者具有协同作用。
在某些实施方案中，在组合物中百里酚的量为组合物的0.0001-2%重量。在其它实施方案中，该量为组合物的0.0001至1、0.9、0.8、0.7、0.6、0.5、0.4、0.3、0.2或0.1%重量。在其它实施方案中，该量为0.0001至0.5、1、1.5或2%重量。在其它实施方案中，该量为组合物的0.0001-1%或0.0001-0.5%重量。在另一个实施方案中，该量为0.5%重量。

百里酚和桃拓酚的该抗菌组合可用于个人护理、口腔护理和家庭护理组合物。个人护理组合物的实例包括但不限于沐浴露/淋浴胶、液体洗手清洁剂、棒皂、洗发剂、调理剂、止汗剂/除臭剂和化妆品。口腔护理组合物的实例包括但不限于洁齿剂、牙膏、牙粉、预防性糊膏、漱口水、糖锭、口香糖、凝胶、涂漆、甜食和假牙清洁剂。家庭护理组合物的实例包括但不限于洗盘液体、洗盘膏、硬表面清洁剂、织物调理剂和衣物洗涤剂。
在某些实施方案中，百里酚和桃拓酚可存在于沐浴露/淋浴胶、液体洗手清洁剂或洗发剂中，其中这些组合物中的每一种包括表面活性剂。百里酚和桃拓酚也可包括在皂(脂肪酸皂)中，其可为棒皂形状。
实施例
最小抑制浓度(MIC)
在96孔板中，将活性物质的系列稀释物与胰蛋白酶大豆培养液和0.1光学密度的细菌组合。在37℃下16-24小时后，测量混合物的光学密度。光学密度的提高代表细菌生长。分析该板，以测定抑制细菌生长所需的最小浓度。数字以ppm报道。测定百里酚和桃拓酚抗大肠杆菌和金黄色葡萄球菌的MIC值。进行MIC剂量响应测定就作为MIC，然而，一种活性物质的浓度保持恒定，而另一种活性物质的浓度采用两倍连续稀释。
分级抑制浓度(FIC)
还在桃拓酚存在下测定百里酚的MIC值，以测定分级抑制浓度(FIC)。该计算解释在MIC测试中百里酚和桃拓酚的分级活性。

Claims (19)

1.一种包含百里酚和桃拓酚的抗菌组合物，其中百里酚与桃拓酚的重量比为5:1至1:5。
2.权利要求1的抗菌组合物，其中百里酚与桃拓酚的重量比为3.21:1至1:3.21。
3.权利要求1的抗菌组合物，其中百里酚与桃拓酚的重量比为1.56:1至1:1.56。
4.权利要求1的抗菌组合物，其中百里酚与桃拓酚的重量比为1:1。
5.权利要求1的抗菌组合物，其中百里酚与桃拓酚的重量比为5:1、1:5、3.21:1、1:3.21、1.56:1或1:1.56中的一个。
