Abstract

用于喷墨打印机的可更换墨盒在盒插入到托架或其它接收器中时必须准确地对齐,从而每个盒上的电气和流体接口与接收器上的相应接口适当地接合。

具体实施方式
已经开发了新式流体盒和接收器组件,其具有对齐特征,有助于在盒插入到接收器中时准确地对齐盒,从而盒上的电气接口与接收器上的相应电气接口适当地接合。新式流体盒和新式接收器的示例在下文参考用于喷墨打印机的墨盒组件描述。然而,新式盒和新式接收器的示例并不限于墨盒、喷墨打印机或喷墨打印。新式流体盒和接收器还可以实施在例如其它类型的流体分配器中。因而,附图所示和下文所述的示例说明但不限制本发明,本发明由说明书所附的权利要求限定。
图1是图示可以实施新式流体盒和接收器组件的示例的喷墨打印机10的一个实施例的框图。参考图1,打印机10包括托架12,托架12运送打印头模块14。打印头模块14包括容纳连接到打印头26的一系列可更换墨盒18、20、22和24的盒组件16。例如,每个墨盒可以容纳不同颜色的墨,例如黑色(K)、黄色(Y)、青色(C)和红紫色(M)。虽然组件16中的墨盒18-24在图1中显示为安装在托架12中的打印头模块14的一部分,但是其它配置是可能的。例如,在所谓的“偏轴”墨供应配置中,墨盒18-24可以定位远离打印头26和托架12。
打印头26总体上表示将墨从模块14排出到打印媒介28上所需的操作部件。例如,喷墨打印头26通常是小机电组件,容纳微型热、压电或其他装置阵列,所述装置被致动或激活以将小墨滴喷射出相关喷嘴阵列。打印头26可以例如形成为一系列分立打印头,每个整体形成到一个或多个墨盒18-24中或者以其他方式服务一个或多个墨盒18-24,或者作为通过多个喷嘴阵列和相应流体输送通道服务所有盒18-24的单个打印头。
打印媒介输送机构30将打印媒介28前移经过托架12和打印头26。对于可移动的扫描托架12,媒介输送机构30通常将媒介28累增地前移经过托架12,在每行被打印时停止,且然后前移媒介28用于打印下一行。对于固定托架12,媒介输送机构30可将打印媒介28连续地前移经过托架12和打印头26。打印机控制器32操作性地连接到托架12、墨盒18-24、打印头26和媒介输送机构30。图1中的控制器32总体上表示控制打印机10的操作元件所需的编程装置、处理器和相关存储器、以及电子电路和部件。控制器32可以通过输入/输出装置34与外部装置通信,包括接收用于喷墨成像的打印数据。通过将托架12相对于媒介28的位置与墨滴的喷射协调,控制器32在媒介28上产生期望图像。
图2和3图示了新式墨盒和接收器组件16的一个示例,例如可以用于图1的打印机10中。参考图2和3,组件16包括安装在接收器36中的墨盒18-24。在所示示例中,盒组件16还包括有助于在接收器36中适当地定位和支撑每个盒18-24的分立引导单元38。
图4是墨盒18-24的一个示例组的前部端视图。图5是盒接收器36的一个示例的正视图。图6和7是墨盒18的详图,图8-12是示出了墨盒18-24插入到接收器36中的详图。首先参考图4-7,每个墨盒18-24的壳体40形成用于容纳墨的内部贮存器42(图7)。每个墨盒18-24包括电气接口44,电气接口44与接收器36上的相应电气接口46接触。例如,每个墨盒18-24可包括通过电气接口44和46与控制器32(图1)通信的小电子数据存储芯片和/或处理装置。每个墨盒18-24还包括墨端口48和空气端口50,墨端口48和空气端口50连接到接收器36上的相应墨和空气端口52和54,分别用于与操作性地联接到接收器36的打印头26(图1)交换墨和空气。因而,盒18-24上的端口48、50和接收器36上的端口52、54形成盒18-24和接收器36之间的流体接口。
盒组件16(图2和3)使用两个对齐特征来在盒18-24插入到接收器36中时准确地对齐盒18-24,从而每个盒18-24上的电气和流体接口44、48、50与接收器36上的相应接口46、52、54适当地接合。如下文参考图8-12更详细所述,对齐用沿每个盒18-24的底部的T形槽56沿接收器36中的对应T形轨道58滑动到接收器36中的对应T形轨道58中而进行。流体接口48、52和50、54的对齐还借助于每个墨盒18-24上的锥形凹端口48、50滑动到接收器36上的对应锥形凸端口52、54上来进行。电气接口44、46的对齐还借助于基准表面60进行,基准表面60与接收器36上的对应表面62接合,以将每个盒电气接口44抵靠对应接收器电气接口46以垂直于基准表面60的平面的方向偏压。
现在具体地参考图4和6,每个盒18-24分别包括键接特征64、66、68和70,将每个盒从组件16(图2)中的其它盒区分。现在具体地参考图3和5,接收器36中的每个盒接收坞72、74、76和78分别包括与盒键接特征64-70相对应的键接特征80、82、84和86,以防止盒插入不准确的坞。在附图所示的示例中,每个盒键接特征64-70通过键槽88、90的独特(在四个盒之间)配置形成,每个接收器键接特征80-86由相应一堆键92、94形成。此外,如参考图8-12在下文更详细所述,电气接口基准表面60在盒键槽88中形成,且对应接收器表面62在接收器键92上形成。因而,在所示示例中,键接和电气接口对齐特征在盒18-24和接收器36两者上都共用相同的部分。
图8和9是示出了墨盒18插入到接收器坞72中的侧视图。图10和11是与图8和9的侧视图相对应的详细平面图。在图8和10中,盒18尚未与接收器36接触。在图9和11中,盒18完全插入接收器36中。引导单元38(图3)从图8-11省去以更清楚地图示盒18和接收器36上的接口、对齐和键接特征。图12是示出了所有四个墨盒18-24处于接收器36中的详细透视和部分截面图,接收器部分以截面示出。
参考图8-12,在盒T形槽56在接收器T形轨道58上沿其滑动时,盒18首先与接收器36接合,以使得盒电气和流体接口44、48、50在X和Z方向与对应接收器接口46、52、54对齐。如果盒24插入到错误接收器坞中,一个或两个接收器键92、94将不与盒键槽88、90对齐,以在接口44/46、48/52和50/54接触之前阻止继续插入。当盒18进一步推动到接收器坞72中时,盒墨和空气端口48和50滑动到接收器墨和空气端口52和54上,且盒基准表面60靠在接收器36的固定表面62上,以将盒电气接口44抵靠接收器电气接口46推动且防止盒24旋转(围绕Y轴)不在XY平面中对齐。在所示示例中,接收器电气接口46构造为导电弹簧片,其在由表面60和62接合产生的偏压压力下稍微压缩,以保持盒和接收器之间的良好电接触。而且,每对盒基准表面60和电气接口44在同一隔板壁96的相对侧上形成,隔板壁96也形成每个键槽88的一部分。基准表面60、电气接口44和键槽88的该配置减少了跨过每个盒18-24的顶部的公差堆叠,以有助于保持恒定壁厚,且因而改进电气接口的对齐,并且缩小这些特征的设置的尺寸要求。

Claims (15)
1. 一种能插入到接收器中且能从接收器拆卸的流体盒,所述盒包括:
用于容纳流体的贮存器;
电气接口;
对齐特征,所述对齐特征配置成在盒插入到接收器中时将电气接口抵靠接收器上的对应电气接口偏压;以及
键接特征,所述键接特征将所述盒从其它流体盒区分,以防止所述盒不正确地插入到接收器中,所述键接特征和对齐特征具有共同部分。
2. 根据权利要求1所述的盒,其中,所述对齐特征包括基准表面,用于与接收器上的对应表面接合,以将电气接口抵靠接收器上的对应电气接口偏压。
3. 根据权利要求2所述的盒,其中,所述共同部分包括所述基准表面。
4. 根据权利要求2所述的盒,其中,所述基准表面位于隔板的第一侧,电气接口位于隔板的与第一侧相对的第二侧。
5. 根据权利要求4所述的盒,其中,所述键接特征包括部分地由隔板的第一侧形成的键槽,用于接收接收器上的对应键。
6. 根据权利要求5所述的盒,其中,所述键槽包括:
部分地由隔板的第一侧形成的第一键槽,用于接收接收器上的对应第一键;以及
第二键槽,用于接收接收器上的对应第二键。
7. 根据权利要求1所述的盒,其中,所述对齐特征配置成在盒插入到接收器中时同时将电气接口抵靠接收器上的对应电气接口偏压且防止盒在接收器内在至少一个平面中旋转。
8. 一种用于喷墨打印机的可更换墨盒,包括:
壳体,所述壳体中具有容纳墨的贮存器;
附连到壳体的电气接口;
壳体上的墨接口,所述墨接口操作性地连接到贮存器;
壳体上的第一对齐特征,所述第一对齐特征配置成在盒插入到接收器中时使得电气接口和墨接口与接收器上的对应接口粗略对齐;
第二对齐特征,所述第二对齐特征配置成在盒插入到接收器中时将电气接口抵靠接收器上的对应电气接口偏压;以及
键接特征,所述键接特征将所述盒从其它墨盒区分,以防止所述盒不正确地插入到接收器中。
9. 根据权利要求8所述的盒,其中,所述第二对齐特征包括基准表面,用于与接收器上的对应表面接合,所述基准表面位于隔板的第一侧,电气接口位于隔板的与第一侧相对的第二侧。
10. 根据权利要求8所述的墨盒,其中,所述键接特征与第二对齐特征重叠,使得第二对齐特征的一部分形成键接特征的一部分。
11. 根据权利要求10所述的墨盒,其中:
所述键接特征包括细长键槽,用于接收接收器上的对应键;以及
第二对齐特征包括键槽内的平坦表面,用于与接收器键上的对应表面接合,以将电气接口抵靠接收器上的对应电气接口偏压。

13. 用于喷墨打印机的墨盒组,每个盒能独立地插入到单个接收器中的对应坞中且能从其拆卸,每个墨盒包括:
用于容纳墨的贮存器;
墨接口,所述墨接口操作性地连接到贮存器;
键槽,用于接收接收器坞上的键,所述键槽配置成在盒插入到接收器坞中时将所述盒从该组中的其它盒区分,以防止所述盒插入到错误的坞中;
电气接口;以及
键槽中的基准表面,用于与接收器坞上的对应表面接合,以将电气接口抵靠接收器坞上的对应电气接口偏压。
14. 根据权利要求13所述的盒组,其中:
每个盒的键槽包括用于接收接收器坞上的第一键的第一键槽和平行于第一键槽延伸的第二键槽,所述第二键槽用于接收接收器坞上的第二键,第一键槽由隔板部分地限定;
基准表面位于第一键槽内隔板的第一侧;以及
电气接口位于隔板的与第一侧相对的第二侧。
15. 根据权利要求14所述的盒组,其中,每个盒还包括T形槽,用于接收接收器坞上的T形引导轨道。
