Abstract

本发明提供一种对形成在部分釉层上的发热电阻体的绝缘性保护膜的磨损进行抑制的热敏头。在陶瓷基板(1)上的长边方向上设置的部分釉层(2)上用绝缘性保护膜(4)覆盖发热电阻体(3)、包含发热电阻体的表面整体。发热电阻体上的绝缘性保护膜(4a)与部分釉层(2)的区域外的绝缘性保护膜的平坦部(4b)具有高低差(t)。高低差设定为,发热电阻体上的绝缘性保护膜较高,且使压印辊在发热电阻体上的绝缘性保护膜和部分釉层的区域之外的平坦的绝缘性保护膜上能够按压热敏纸。由此,能够分散压印辊的按压力。

Description

热敏头
技术领域
本发明涉及热敏头。
背景技术
图8是表示热敏头的一个例子的主要部分截面图,图9是表示相同发热电阻体和电极的配置的主要部分平面图。
如图8所示,在陶瓷基板等的绝缘基板1的上设置有由玻璃等构成的凸状的部分釉层2,并且,在其上设置有由金等的导电性材料构成的共通电极、从该共通电极开始延伸的梳齿状电极和多个单独电极(在图9中后述),进而,在上述部分釉层2上的单独电极和梳齿状电极上一条直线地形成有由氧化钌等构成的发热电阻体3(作为设置有部分釉层的热敏头的一个例子参照专利文献2)。
进而,在这些之上,遍及大致整个面覆盖有例如由PbO-SiO2-ZrO2类的玻璃材料构成的电绝缘性保护膜4(下面称为绝缘性保护膜4。)。为了使上述发热电阻体3的发热通过上述绝缘性保护膜4进行热传递,以使作为印刷介质的热敏纸8进行显色,而通过压印辊7使热敏纸8边在与上述绝缘性保护膜4之间被按压边被输送。
另外,如图9所示,通过对从共通电极6延伸的梳齿状电极6a与单独电极5之间的1点(dot)单位的发热电阻体元件通电,使上述发热电阻体3发热,由此使上述热敏纸8进行显色。因此,上述绝缘性保护膜4发挥机械保护和电绝缘的作用,要求一定程度以上的机械强度和电绝缘性。

发明内容
发明想要解决的问题
但是,上述热敏头由于作为印刷介质的热敏纸因其顔料等导致上述绝缘性保护膜4与热敏纸的摩擦而引起磨损变得显著,存在上述绝缘性保护膜4的机械强度和电绝缘性损失的问题。
另外,以标签纸为首,由于热敏纸不同而使纸质较厚,为了提高其与热敏头的追随性,存在将上述压印辊7的按压设定为较高的倾向。
在该情况下,因上述压印辊7的按压变高,所以加快上述绝缘性保护膜4的磨损。另一方面,通过实验可知上述绝缘性保护膜4的上述摩擦引起的耐磨损性,极大影响热敏头对热敏纸印字时的印字比率。
即,存在与印字比率低的时候相比同比率高的时候的一方的磨损量増加的倾向。这作为在与印字比率低时相比同比率高时热敏头受到的影响,发热电阻体内的发热时的温度分布在中心部最高,利用印字比率变高时与附近的发热电阻体的发热的相乘效果,特别是通过反复连续的印字动作发热而产生的热容易被蓄积,温度达到上述绝缘性保护膜4的转移点附近的结果,上述绝缘性保护膜4不能保持本来的硬度,对于摩擦等的机械的应力敏感地反应。
因此,通过上述压印辊7,上述热敏纸8边被按压边在上述绝缘性保护膜4上被输送,因此容易损害该绝缘性保护膜4的耐磨损性。
特别是,热敏头的用途在200mm/s以上程度的印字速度中所使用的环境中,因上述发热而产生的热容易蓄积,所以确保耐磨损性成为课题。
作为该对策,提案有作为保护层在上述绝缘性保护膜的上设置有热传导性良好的导电性保护膜的热敏头(参照专利文献1)。
但是,通过使发热电阻体内的发热温度平均,即使对摩擦等的机械的应力,上述绝缘性保护膜4不敏感地反应,根据所使用的热敏纸,也存在耐磨损性被损坏的问题。
本发明为了解决上述的课题,提供一种边维持性能面的显色效率边维持上述绝缘性保护膜高的耐磨损性的热敏头。
用于解决课题的方法
覆盖在部分釉层上设置的发热电阻体的绝缘性保护膜和部分釉层的区域外的绝缘性保护膜的平坦部具有高低差,即使在上述绝缘性保护膜的平坦部的上述部分釉层侧,压印辊也按压热敏纸。
发明效果
压印辊的按压不集中于发热电阻体上的绝缘性保护膜而被分散,从而抑制绝缘性保护膜的机械的磨损。

具体实施方式
如图9所示,热敏纸等的印刷介质的显色通过由氧化钌(RuO2)等构成的发热电阻体3使位于从由金等的导电性材料构成的共通电极6开始延伸的梳齿状电极6a与由金等的导电性材料构成的单独电极5之间的1点单位的发热电阻体元件3a发热来进行。下面,将上述梳齿状电极和上述单独电极统称为供电用电极。
进而,如图1和图2所示,在氧化铝A12O3等的电绝缘性的陶瓷基板1上,使由玻璃等构成的部分釉层2与上述陶瓷基板1的长边方向(与纸面垂直的方向)并列平行,且在上述陶瓷基板1的短边方向上部分地且在长边方向上直线状设置。
以与上述部分釉层2上的上述梳齿状电极6a和单独电极5(图9)上重叠的方式在上述部分釉层2上设置发热电阻体3,在这些表面整体设置绝缘性保护膜4。作为上述绝缘性保护膜4的材料,例如使用PbO·SiO2·ZrO2类的玻璃材料。
在上述部分釉层2上设置的发热电阻体3的表面的绝缘性保护膜4a和部分釉层2的区域外的绝缘性保护膜的平坦部4b具有高低差t,以压印辊7即使在上述绝缘性保护膜的平坦部4b的靠近上述部分釉层2一侧的表面10a和10b也按压热敏纸8的方式设定上述高低差t的尺寸。
此时,上述绝缘性保护膜4的平坦部4b,如图3(A)所示,在以覆盖上述发热电阻体3和上述供电用电极的方式形成绝缘性保护膜4之后,如图3(B)所示,在除去上述部分釉层2之外的区域使用上述玻璃材料利用丝网印刷等的方法同时形成上层的绝缘性保护膜4c和4d。
作为一个例子,如后文所述,在印刷介质使用65μm的厚度的热敏纸的情况下,使上述平坦部4b低15μm(t=15μm),压印辊7将热敏纸按压在上述表面10a和10b(图2)。
通过设置上述高低差t,上述压印辊7即使在上述发热电阻体3上的上述绝缘性保护膜4a和上述绝缘性保护膜4的平坦部4b的表面10a、10b也能够按压热敏纸,压印辊的按压力不集中于上述发热电阻体3上的上述绝缘性保护膜4a,也分散于上述表面10a和10b,能够抑制上述绝缘性保护膜4的机械的磨损。
另外,相对于上述部分釉层2位于上述热敏纸8的进入侧的绝缘性保护膜的表面10a同时发挥提高热敏纸8的平滑性的作用,由此抑制上述发热电阻体3上的上述绝缘性保护膜4a的机械的磨损。
下面,说明具有上述高低差t的上述绝缘性保护膜4的形成方法的例子。
如图3所示,在以跨越上述部分釉层2的方式形成上述绝缘性保护膜4之后,上述部分釉层2的两侧在具有压印辊能够按压热敏纸的高低差的高度形成辅助绝缘膜4c、4d。另外,也可以预先在上述陶瓷基板1上形成辅助绝缘膜,之后以跨越上述部分釉层2的方式形成绝缘性保护膜4。
另外,作为另外的形成方法,如图4、图5所示,能够以压印辊按压部分釉层的一侧的绝缘性保护膜的平坦部的方式进行实施,使以比发热电阻体3上的绝缘性保护膜4a低出高低差t的方式形成的平坦的绝缘性保护膜,形成为相对于上述部分釉层2作为热敏纸的进入侧的绝缘性保护膜4e和作为热敏纸的排出侧的绝缘性保护膜4f的任一方。
另外,作为另外的实施例,如图6所示,部分釉层2与上述陶瓷基板1的长边方向平行且在上述陶瓷基板1的短边方向上部分地且直线状地形成在陶瓷基板1的上表面,在其上依次形成有上述供电用电极、发热电阻体3、绝缘性保护膜4g时,以具有与压印辊相接那样的高低差t的方式设定绝缘性保护膜4的平坦部4g的厚度。
另外,作为另外的实施例,如图7所示,为2层构造,下层为具有上述高低差的绝缘性保护膜4,上层为热传导性高的导电性保护膜11,该导电性保护膜11例如以氧化钌、和硅或锆合金或铅等的金属氧化物以及玻璃为主材料,具有表面电阻值为0.5M~10MΩ/□,优选具有1MΩ/□的表面电阻值。
例如,上述导电性保护膜11使用热传导率为9.628w/mK的材料,上述下层的绝缘性保护膜4使用1.616w/mK的材料。上述导电性保护膜11为热传导率高热传递性良好的构造,因此热应答性良好,使热瞬时传达到热敏纸,同时有利于使上述发热电阻体3的发热分布平均,因此上述导电性保护膜11的应力被抑制,与设置有上述高低差的效果相乘地提高机械的耐磨损特性。
在此,表1表示在图1所示的本发明的实施例中,实际上利用压印辊19.6N/热敏头(0.27N/mm(印字宽度长度))按压厚度为65μm的热敏纸时的压印宽度(压印辊隔着热敏纸与热敏头接触的短边方向的宽度尺寸)。

在图1所示的实施例中,由于具有高低差t的尺寸为15μm的绝缘性保护膜的平坦部4b,所以压印宽度变为0.836mm/0.198mm=4.22,与图8所示的现有的热敏头相比,能够实现压印宽度作为整体扩大至4.22倍的热敏头。
其结果,每单位长度的压印辊的按压相反减少至(1/4.22)倍,该压印辊的按压的机械的应力减少,因此在上述部分釉层2的上部形成的上述绝缘性保护膜4a的磨损被抑制。
上述表1所述的数值表示对热敏头的上述绝缘保护膜上涂敷油墨,并进行压印辊的按压后,对所得到的涂敷了的油墨的区域(宽度方向的尺寸)进行测量的结果。

Claims (7)

1.一种热敏头,其包括:
沿绝缘基板上的长边方向设置的部分釉层;
在所述部分釉层上设置的发热电阻体;和
覆盖包含所述发热电阻体的表面整体的绝缘性保护膜,
所述发热电阻体上的绝缘性保护膜与所述部分釉层的区域之外的平坦的绝缘性保护膜之间具有高低差,该热敏头的特征在于:
所述高低差如下设定:所述发热电阻体上的绝缘性保护膜较高,并且使按压热敏纸的压印辊能够将所述热敏纸按压在所述发热电阻体上的绝缘性保护膜和所述部分釉层的区域之外的平坦的绝缘性保护膜上。
2.如权利要求1所述的热敏头,其特征在于:
在所述平坦的绝缘性保护膜上设置有调整所述高低差的尺寸的辅助绝缘膜,使绝缘性保护膜为2层构造。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的热敏头,其特征在于:
所述绝缘性保护膜由PbO-SiO2-ZrO2类的玻璃材料形成。
4.如权利要求1至3中任一项所述的热敏头,其特征在于:
所述高低差的尺寸为15μm。
5.如权利要求1至4中任一项所述的热敏头,其特征在于:
在所述绝缘性保护膜上设置有热传导性高的导电性保护膜。
6.如权利要求1至5中任一项所述的热敏头,其特征在于:
所述高低差设置在热敏纸的进入侧。
7.如权利要求1至5中任一项所述的热敏头,其特征在于:
所述高低差设置在热敏纸的排出侧。
