Description
本发明有关含有粒状烟雾改性剂的过滤器和过滤元件(它适用于作烟草烟雾的过滤嘴,但不一定限于这种用途)。
合适的粒状添加剂包括吸附剂(可选自活性炭,硅胶,海泡石,氧化铝,离子交换材料等),pH调节剂(可用碱性材料如Na2CO3或酸性材料),香料,别的固体添加剂以及它们的混合物。
为制造这类过滤器,以往的方法存在一种或多种生产上的问题,产品质量和均一性的控制问题,以及机器损耗问题。
本发明提供一种过滤器或过滤元件,它具有一纵轴,包括至少由一种条带所做成的管状体,条带上事先涂布有粒状的添加剂,并沿上述纵轴弯曲至少360°。
许多重迭的这种经事先涂布的条带可以各自弯曲360°或更多,以形成管状体,在一具体实施例的类型中,把事先涂布并经弯曲的条带(或许多条带)包裹在一个芯子的周围成为管状。
在每一具体实施方案的类型中,所说的条带可以在两面都事先涂布上粒状烟雾改性添加剂,也可以只在任何一面涂布。
作为基底的条带可以将添加剂的颗粒直接粘附其上,也可以把添加剂颗粒先粘附在线上,再把涂布好的线粘附在条带上,即把一条条涂布好的线平行地紧挨着粘在条带上。
当使用两条或多条事先涂布好的条带时,任何两条条带可以面和面相接触(条带对条带,条带对涂层,或涂层对涂层),也可以插入其它材料进分隔。
粒状添加剂可通过热溶性粘合剂如高熔点的聚乙二醇或乳液型粘合剂如聚乙烯醇粘附在所说的条带上。用于本发明的合适的热熔性粘合剂有各种聚酯粘合剂。所用的任何粒状添加剂可以是单一的物质或者混合物,还可以混合有其它材料。当使用两条或更多的条带时,不同的条带上可以粘有不同的添加剂。当同一条带上的两面都粘有粒状的添加剂时,可以在两面使用各不相同的添加剂。
粘附在所说条带表面的粒状添加剂可不必覆盖整个表面。
过滤器或过滤元件是具有所说的在芯子周围事先涂布好的条带的管状体,芯子可以是通常的烟雾过滤材料(如细纤维束,人造纤维或绉纸);开口的管状体,或有一不透气或低透气性的部分使复合过滤器产生压力降,而只有很小的过滤效果或不具有过滤效果;芯子可以是单一的物体,也可以是复合的,即将它自己的包纸和/或纵向(和/或径向)的相邻部分合并在一起。在一种带有所说的围绕芯子的管状体的具体实施方案中,粒状烟雾改性添加剂被粘附在围绕芯子的管状体的内表面;管状体本身又被外边的环形物体围绕,后者像芯子一样,可以是例如通常的烟雾过滤材料,或者是只具有很小过滤效果或没有过滤效果的不透气或低透气
性部分。
本发明的过滤器和过滤元件可有一个包装套筒,即一个伸长的套筒或是一个有重迭粘合缝的滤芯包装纸,这样的滤芯包装纸可以是能渗透空气或不能渗透空气的材料,但不管哪种情况都是可以穿孔的。如果涂布在条带上的粒状涂布物本身涂布着粘合剂(如热活化的粘合剂),则当做成管状物时即可导致或引发粘结而得到粘结的管状物,它有稳定的大小而不带包装套筒;粘合剂的涂布可能需要是不连续的(例如粉末涂布),以使它不会不适当地妨碍粒状添加剂的烟雾改性性质。另一种方法是,没有粒状涂布的条带边上可带有粘合剂,并被用作粘合交迭以使弯曲的条带成管状。但是,即使用预涂布条带的粘结,可能最好还是为管状物提供包装套筒。
预制的涂布好粒状添加剂的条带可用用通常的包装设备方便地转变为管状。按照本发明的一种方法,提供带有粒状添加剂的条带、将它弯曲成管状(通常应用一个围绕着它的套筒)并把得到的长形产品切割成一定的长度。这些工序,可以用通常制造过滤器的机器连续地按顺序进行。为形成管状物,可将条带围绕着心轴聚集,当管状物需有芯子时,当带有粒状添加剂的条带围绕着它包裹时,芯子可连续向前推进(或一边形成,一边推进);如管状物本身还要被外边的环形物体围绕,环形物可类似地连续进料,围绕着前进的包裹芯子而成形;连续顺序过程和这些工序所用的设备是香烟过嘴工艺中所熟知的。
条带可用粘合剂涂布(例如从装有活性粘合剂的槽或其它供应源中汲取),再用粒状添加剂涂布(例如,当粘合剂处于活性时,从添加剂储槽、流化床、循环液流或其它供应源中汲取),作为上述连续操作过程的一部分;也可以将涂布有粘合剂的条带分开生产或从外部来源获得,而把粘合剂的活化(例如加热软化)和涂布粒状添加剂的操作和过滤器的生产一起连续顺序进行操作,为保证粘合剂(例如由聚乙烯醇液槽)涂布得均匀,可用刮刀刮浆液、例如使之通过一个狭槽或在一个或多个刮刀片间通过。粒状添加剂载在涂布有粘合剂的条带上具有最大的可能,这依赖于一些因素诸如颗粒大小,条带的宽度等等。按照生产需要,每条条带上添加剂的涂布量可以在很宽的范围内变化。就像在使用两条或多条基底条带时,总的涂布量可在很宽的范围内变化一样。涂布量很大的条带可能有基本上完全是粒状添加剂的元件,没有以前的粒状过滤元件的类型、及它们的生产方法中的那些缺点。本发明的过滤器还可与别的材料相结合。
按照产品需要,其它参量也可在很宽的范围内变化,这些参量包括单位长度条带上载有的粒状添加剂的重量,添加剂的颗粒大小等。对于活性炭,合适的颗粒大小为12/30英国标准筛孔,另一种为30/70英国标准筛孔。
本发明所用的条带可以由任何一种无害的材料所制成。条带可以是一种纺织品,例如织造或非织造带,或卷烟过滤器的滤芯包装;它按照最终产物的气流流通需要,可以对烟雾或空气是可透的或不可透的。
至少有一些所用的粒状添加剂带有(或含有)香料-或者可将其它带有香料的物质掺入其中。
本发明可以用通常的设备把活性炭或别的粒状添加剂加入烟草烟雾过滤器中,而不会引入生产或设备方面的问题,而且特别容易达到均匀的添加剂涂布负荷-并且在需要时可以简单而精确地改变涂布量。本发明的过滤器允许粒状添加剂粘结在条带上,在不受妨碍或基本不受妨碍的情况下,发挥它对烟草烟气流的过滤效果或其它效果;因此,本发明的含有粒状吸附剂的过滤器能很好地滞留气相的烟雾成份。
本发明的过滤器和过滤元件可以连续地进行生产并切割成一定的长度。每个这样具有一定长度的个体本身可用作一支卷烟的过滤嘴,但最好是把它作为复合的(例如双重或三重的)卷烟过滤嘴的一部分,和至少一种别的过滤元件按纵向排列成直线一起使用,这种复合的过滤嘴具有共同的连接外层包装,它完全包裹或部分包裹着复合的过滤嘴并且对烟气或空气可以是可渗透的或不可渗透的。最好是把本发明的过滤元件的个体和纵向排布的具有普通式样的衔在口中的元件-例如一个均匀的醋酸纤维素的丝束状滤芯联合使用。这两个单元可以紧相毗连,也可以留出一点空间用于流通空气和/或装入添加剂颗粒。
本发明的产品一般适于用作烟草烟雾的过滤装置或用于烟草烟雾的过滤装置。但在本发明主要叙述这类过滤装置的同时,并不限制它只用于这一用
途,它提供上述产品本身,而没有限制它的用途或打算作什么用途。本发明的卷烟过滤嘴通常可通过常规过滤嘴包纸连接到包装好的卷烟杆部的,过滤嘴包纸可以是通气的,也可以是不通气的。
现通过实例和附图对本发明的具体实施方案进行说明。图1-10是本发明各种不同的具体实施方案的剖视图,图中参考数字指示相应的部分。
图1显示一种管状过滤器或过滤元件,它包括一面粘有活性炭颗粒4的滤芯包装纸条带2,弯曲成管状并使颗粒4处于管状体的外表面。在6处是没有涂布粒状物而涂布着粘合剂的条带边,它和条带的另一边形成粘合的重迭粘缝,从而使过滤器被固定成管状。在另一变形中,颗粒4可涂布在条带2的另一面而形成管状体的内表面,或者颗粒4被粘附在条带2的两面;其它可能的变通方法是把条带2沿芯子环绕,和/或为管状结构提供一种包装物。
图2显示一种相似的具体实施方案,其中图1中所示的管状物有一个外层,是由另外一条粘附有颗粒4的滤芯包裹条带做成,沿着在它里面的管状物缠绕,使两条条带上的粒状涂布物相互接触,外层条带也同样通过没有涂布粒状物的重迭粘合缝6固定成管状。在图1中叙述过的其它变通方法也可应用于图2所示的方案中。
图3显示一种管状的过滤器或过滤元件,它是由一条两面都涂布着吸附剂颗粒4的滤芯包裹条带2粘合而成,条带2一边的一面和另一边的对面上没有涂布粒状物,而是涂布了粘合剂,因此能通过重迭粘合缝6把产品固定成管状。围绕图中说明的结构,可另加一层或多层一面或两面涂布了颗粒4的条带,并且其它前面叙述过的变通方法(提供芯子和/或外面的包装层)也是可能的。
图4显示的一种过滤器,是由涂布着吸附剂颗粒4的滤芯包装条带2包围管状芯子8,并使条带上涂布的颗粒4对着芯子8。已经涂布有粒状吸附剂的条带6,可按前面所说的方法,通过未涂布粒状物的重迭粘缝粘牢,另外也可在条带2的另一面涂布颗粒4,并可提供粘有颗粒4的额外的一层或多层条带2的环绕层。
图5显示一条在它的一面涂布着吸附剂4的滤芯包装条带2,沿着通常的过滤芯子9缠绕,并使颗粒4处于最外层。在这种情况下,条带2的边可紧接在一起,它们可粘在滤芯9上。另外或此外,还可为这种过滤器提供滤芯包装物。像前面的具体实施方案中所叙述的,颗粒4可被粘附在条带2的两面,也可提供另外一层或多层一面或两面涂布有颗粒4的条带2。
图6显示的具体实施方案和图4相似,只是它的芯子是滤芯10。此外,涂布的条带可以例如通过粘附于芯子或由外层缠绕层而被固定成管状,在这种情况下,事先涂布好的条带2的纵向的边缘就可以紧靠在一起;粘附的颗粒4可以覆盖小于条带2的面积,例如空出条带的两条纵向的边不涂布添加剂颗粒,以便形成重迭粘合缝6。滤芯10可以是通常的滤芯(像图5所示),也可以是一种不可透气或只有低透气性的滤芯,它只产生压力降,而没有或只有少许过滤的效果。所示的具体实施方案还可以有外包装20,它可以是一个伸出的套筒,或者是带有重迭粘缝的普通滤芯包装物。
图7所示的是图6类型的结构,其中复合芯子10和围绕它的已经涂布的条带2本身又进一步被环状体12所围绕。在这种情况下,滤芯10可以是例如醋酸纤维素丝束组成的过滤芯,条带2可以是一种不透气的滤芯包装物,粘附在条带内表面的粒状添加剂可以是活性炭,而外面的环状体12可以是带有高度孔率的外部包装的另外一层醋酸纤维素丝束,它是高度通气的。
图8(以纵剖面,而不是所有前面用的横截面)解释一种由图7所示的复合元件和一个未经包装的醋酸纤维素丝束滤芯16,包装在普通的连接多孔滤芯包装18中而成的双重过滤嘴。按照本发明,这样的一个双重过滤嘴应用于卷烟中时,使含有添加剂的元件朝向卷烟杆,而未包装的醋酸纤维素丝束则在衔口的一端。
图9用横截面图解释一种图6类型的过滤器或过滤元件,但其中涂布了添加剂的条带2的外面又卷了另一条类似地涂布着粒状添加剂24的滤芯包装物条带,并且围绕着条带2而使自身的添加剂24处于径向的最里层固定成管状(例如通过重迭粘缝6)。如图6所示,可任意提供一种外层包装20作为这种复合产品的一部分。粒状添加剂4和24可以是相同或不同的。
沿着芯子10,用一条图3所示类型的条带2(两面都涂布着粘上的粒状添加剂)围绕上一条
平纹的(不含粒状添加剂)滤芯包装物22以及上述任意的外层包装20,就可提供一类似的具体实施方案。
图10用纵剖面图解释一种由图6或图9所示类型的复合元件26,与未包装的醋酸纤维素丝束(NWA)制的滤芯16,通过普通的连接滤芯包装物18组合而成的三重过滤装置。如图所示,元件26个具有只被管状条带2(粘附着粒状添加剂)以及如图6所示的包装物20所示环绕的滤芯10,但它也可以具有图9所示的那种结构,即另外还有管状的条带22和添加剂颗粒24。图10所示的过滤器可由连续生产的棒状产品获得,即形成末端与末端相毗邻,交替地含有元件26和两倍长度NWA单元的长棒,将这长棒连续推进,同时用普通包装物18进行包装,并将这连续生产的长棒在NWA所处部分切断;通常是把长棒先切割成图10所示的单个过滤器长度的倍数(例如两倍长,四倍长或六倍长),最后才切割成单支长度,以适应作为带过滤嘴的卷烟生产的一部份的下一步处理。相似的程序也可用于图8所示的具体实例-例如先在复合元件处切割成单个过滤嘴长度的倍数的长棒,然后通过内纵元件切割成适用于带过滤嘴卷烟装配的单个过滤装置的长度。多倍长度的棒长是按照本发明而定的。
在下面的实例中,所有压力降都是在“全封闭”的条件下测定的一即把试验样品的圆柱体表面用不渗透的外套围住,使得没有气流通过它。这里所用的筛孔大小均指英国标准。
实例1
过滤器被制成图10所示的式样
NWA元件为1.5/38但尼尔的丝束,每个单元长5毫米,周长22.75毫米,汇合的降力降(PD)为83毫米水柱(Wg)。
复合元件26长10毫米,周长22.1毫米,具有由2.1/30但尼尔醋酸纤维素丝束组成的芯子10。条带2为不带孔的滤芯包装,宽23毫米,涂布着用PVA粘合剂粘附的活性炭(18/40英国标准筛孔)颗粒4,涂布量为5.4毫克/毫米长(如图6所示),外层包装20为宽25毫米,具有5000Coresta单位孔积率的滤芯包装物。单元26的压力降为23毫米水柱。
在三重过滤器中,如图10中所示,元件16和18被滤芯包装18(孔积率也是5000Coresta单位)结合在一起,其中元件16被轻轻地压缩。三重过滤器长20毫米,周长22.46毫米,压力降为106毫米水柱,碳含量为54毫克。
这些三重过滤器通过可透气的过滤器外包装纸连接在商品卷烟的烟杆上,这样做成的香烟按标准的ISO/Coresta方法试验烟雾过滤的效果时,显示能够滞留55.2%的焦油,44.8%的尼古丁,并有如下的气相滞留能力:

实例A至L
在实例A至J和L中,用下表所示的各种粒状添加剂和别的修改方法来重覆实例1。在实例K中采取了进一步的修改,即采用了图9所示类型的元件26。
三重过滤器用6毫米长的NWA元件和12毫米长的元件26(以下称它为“ACS”),装在普通的滤芯包装18中,后者每平方米重27克。NWA单元为1.6/48但尼尔的丝束,正常的周长为24.8毫米。
在ACS单元26中,实例A至L用8/39但尼尔的醋酸纤维素丝束作为芯子19,27毫米宽的滤芯包装(孔积率约为7,500Coresta单位)作为带有不同粒状添加剂4的条带2。像实例1中所说的那样。外包装20用标准的27克/米2的滤芯包装。
ACS单元26和三重过滤器的其它详情列于下面的表中。在“添加剂”一栏中,“C”代表活性炭,数字代表筛孔大小-例如“C12/22”表示颗粒大小为英国标准筛孔12/22的活性炭。实例F和G中的混合的粒状添加剂含有2∶1重量比例的12/22筛孔的活性炭和15/30筛孔的海泡石。在实例K
中,内表面带有30/70筛孔活性炭的条带2,被另一条内表面类似地粘附着海泡石24的条带22紧密地缠绕,如图9中解释的那样,后者然后再用外包装20围绕。
在图10所示的具体实例,实例1和实例A至L的修改式样中,外包装20可省略,同时把单元26的大小仍做成能够把连接包装18也卷在其中。

Claims (10)
1、一种具有纵轴的过滤器或过滤元件,它包括至少一个条带,其上事先涂布粘附在其上的粒状烟雾改性剂,并且沿上述纵轴至少弯曲360°以形成管状。
2、权利要求1中所说的过滤器或过滤元件,其中事先涂布并经弯曲的条带围绕中心的芯子被固定成管状。
3、按照权利要求2所说的过滤器或过滤元件,其中包括许多迭加在一起的事先涂布的条带,并围绕上述纵轴弯曲至少360°以形成管状。
4、按照权利要求1所说的过滤器或过滤元件,其中所说的条带两面都用粒状的烟雾改性剂事先涂布。
5、按照权利要求3所说的过滤器或过滤元件,其中所说的条带两面都用粒状的烟雾改性剂事先涂布。
6、按照权利要求1所说的过滤器或过滤元件,在它的径向内面也粘有至少一种涂布有粒状烟雾改性剂的条带。
7、权利要求1-6中任一项所说的过滤元件用于双重或三重过滤元件,固定在纵轴方向并和其它过滤元件排成一条直线。
8、一种多倍长度的杆状过滤器,它可切割成许多权利要求7中所说的卷烟过滤器。
9、用权利要求1至6任一项所述的过滤器或过滤元件制备带过滤嘴的卷烟。
10、用权利要求7所述的过滤器制备带过滤嘴的卷烟。
