移动微波接入全球互操作性(WiMAX)是基于电气和电子工程师协会(IEEE)802.16标准的宽带无线接入技术。移动WiMAX使用可伸缩的正交频分多址(OFDMA)方案来输送无线宽带分组数据服务到移动终端。
连同WiMAX技术的网络进入进程(process)包括初始测距、基本能力协商、认证、MAC协商(注册)、QoS协商(服务流初始化)及经动态主机配置协议(DHCP)获得IP地址。

图5连同本发明的一个实施例示出计算机系统的一示例。处理器705从1级(L1)高速缓冲存储器706、2级(L2)高速缓冲存储器710和主存储器715存取数据。在一个实施例中,高速缓冲存储器710是用于多于一个处理器核的共享高速缓存。
在一个实施例中,存储器/图形控制器716、IO控制器717或它们的组合集成在处理器705中。在一个实施例中,存储器/图形控制器716的部分、IO控制器717的部分或它们的组合集成在处理器705中。
处理器705可具有任何数量的处理核。然而,本发明的其它实施例可在系统内的其它装置内实现,或者在硬件、软件或它们的某一组合中分布在系统各处。
主存储器715可在各种存储器源中实现,例如动态随机存取存储器(DRAM)、硬盘驱动器(HDD)720、基于NVRAM技术的固态盘725,或者是经网络接口730或经无线接口740位于远离计算机系统的包含各种存储装置和技术的存储器源。高速缓冲存储器可位于处理器内或紧密靠近处理器,例如在处理器的本地总线707上。此外,高速缓冲存储器可包含较快的存储单元(memorycell),例如六晶体管(6T)单元或约等于或更快存取速度的其它存储单元。
然而,本发明的其它实施例可在图5系统内的其它电路、逻辑单元或装置中存在。此外,本发明的其它实施例可分布遍及图5中所示的几个电路、逻辑单元或装置。
本发明不限于所述实施例,而是能够通过随附权利要求书精神和范围内的修改和变化来实践。例如,应领会到,本发明适用于与所有类型的半导体集成电路(“IC”)芯片一起使用。这些IC芯片的示例包括但不限于处理器、控制器、芯片组组件、可编程逻辑阵列(PLA)、存储器芯片、网络芯片或诸如此类。另外,应领会到,示范大小/模型/值/范围可能已被给出,但本发明的实施例不限于其。由于制造技术(例如,光刻)随着时间过去而变得成熟,预期能够制造更小的装置。

Claims (19)
1.一种用于无线通信网络的方法,包括:
由可在移动台上操作的驱动器模块在所述移动台发送DHCP(动态主机配置协议)发现消息前接收DHCP信息;
由驱动器模块存储所述DHCP信息;
将所述DHCP发现消息从操作系统DHCP进程重定向到所述驱动器模块;以及
响应所述DHCP发现消息而执行DHCP握手,
其中,所述驱动器模块配置成截取接收自所述无线通信网络的因特网协议(IP)配置以获得IP地址而不是所述操作系统DHCP进程,并且所述驱动器模块配置成通过注册响应(REG-RSP)媒体接入控制(MAC)管理消息在初始网络进入的注册阶段期间从所述无线通信网络接收所述IP配置。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述DHCP信息包括要指派到所述移动台的IP地址和与默认网关、子网掩码和租赁时间有关的配置数据。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述执行所述DHCP握手还包括:
由所述驱动器模块生成对所述DHCP发现消息的响应而不发出请求到远程DHCP网关;
将所述DHCP信息传递到所述操作系统DHCP进程;以及
将DHCP确认传递到所述操作系统DHCP进程。
4.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述驱动器模块根据802.16m与收发器相关联,并且可操作以执行IP分配过程的部分而无需对操作系统的修改。
5.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述驱动器模块可操作以生成REG-REQ消息,指示所述移动台能够连同REG-RSP消息来接收所述DHCP信息。
6.一种用于无线通信网络的方法,包括:
由ASN(接入服务网络)响应与移动台相关联的网络进入,生成DHCP信息而未从所述移动台接收DHCP发现消息;以及
通过基站将所述DHCP信息传播到所述移动台,
其中,所述DHCP信息要由所述移动台上的驱动器模块而不是操作系统DHCP进程来重定向和处理,
其中,所述移动台配置成:通过动态服务加入响应(DSA-RSP)媒体接入控制(MAC)管理消息在初始服务流建立期间或者通过动态服务更改响应(DSC-RSP)媒体接入控制(MAC)管理消息在完成初始进入和建立初始服务流之后,从所述基站接收所述DHCP信息。
7.如权利要求6所述的方法,其中所述ASN包括:
网关,可操作以分配DHCPIP到所述移动台;以及
多个基站,包括与所述移动台和所述网关进行通信的第一基站。
8.如权利要求6所述的方法,其中所述DHCP信息包括要指派到所述移动台的IP地址和配置数据。
9.如权利要求6所述的方法,还包括由基站连同认证进程后注册进程期间的某个消息而将所述DHCP信息传播到所述移动台。
10.如权利要求7所述的方法,还包括:
由所述网关连同MAC协商消息而将所述DHCP信息发送到基站;以及
由所述基站连同注册消息而将所述DHCP信息传播到所述移动台。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述MAC协商消息是MS附连响应,并且所述注册消息是REG-RSP消息。
12.如权利要求7所述的方法,还包括:
由所述网关连同路径注册消息,将所述DHCP信息发送到基站;以及
由所述基站连同服务流配置消息,将所述DHCP信息传播到所述移动台。
13.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中所述路径注册消息是PATH-REG响应,并且所述服务流配置消息是DSA-RSP消息。
14.如权利要求7所述的方法,还包括:
由所述基站连同DHCP消息传递,从所述网关请求所述DHCP信息;以及
由所述基站连同服务流更改消息,将所述DHCP信息传播到所述移动台。
15.如权利要求14所述的方法,其中所述DHCP消息传递包括DHCP发现消息、DHCP供应消息、DHCP请求消息及DHCPACK消息,其中所述服务流更改消息是DSC-RSP消息。
16.一种网络系统,包括:
管理和分配IP地址的网关;以及
与所述网关进行通信以及无线地与移动台进行通信的基站,其中所述网关可操作以响应所述移动台的网络进入而在接收所述移动台的DHCP消息前生成DHCP信息,
其中,所述DHCP信息要由所述移动台上的驱动器模块而不是操作系统DHCP进程来重定向和处理,
其中,所述移动台配置成:通过动态服务加入响应(DSA-RSP)媒体接入控制(MAC)管理消息在初始服务流建立期间或者通过动态服务更改响应(DSC-RSP)媒体接入控制(MAC)管理消息在完成初始进入和建立初始服务流之后,从所述基站接收所述DHCP信息。
17.如权利要求16所述的网络系统,其中所述基站可操作以连同在认证进程已完成后但在所述移动台进行的DHCP进程之前的注册进程期间的一个或多个消息,将所述DHCP信息传递到所述移动台。
18.如权利要求16所述的网络系统,其中所述基站可操作以连同在所述移动台进行的DHCP进程之前的服务流配置进程期间的一个或多个消息,将所述DHCP信息传递到所述移动台。
19.如权利要求16所述的网络系统,其中所述基站可操作以从所述移动台接收所述移动台能够连同注册响应消息而接收所述DHCP信息的指示。
