Description

包装机中的超声密封设备的密封循环的电子计数
技术领域
本发明一般地涉及通过横向密封利用可倾倒食物产品连续填充的片包装材料管的可倾倒食物产品包装。更具体地,本发明涉及一种电子计数器,该电子计数器可操作用于对包装机中的超声密封设备中的超声密封循环进行计数,该包装机可操作用于生产包含食物产品的密封包装。
背景技术
众所周知,在由无菌包装材料制成的包装中销售许多可倾倒食物产品,诸如果汁或者蔬菜汁、巴氏消毒或者UHT(超高温处理)牛奶、酒等。
该类型的包装的典型例子是称为Tetra Brik Aseptic®的、用于可倾倒食物产品的平行六面体形包装,其通过折叠和密封叠层带包装材料制成。
该包装材料具有基本上包括一个或者多个硬化和加固基层的多层片结构,基层通常由纤维材料(例如纸)或者矿物填充的聚丙烯材料制成,两侧上由多个热密封塑料材料层(例如聚乙烯薄膜)覆盖。在用于长期存储产品(诸如UHT牛奶)的无菌包装的情况下,包装材料也包括气阻和光阻材料层(例如铝箔或者乙烯乙丙醇(ethyl vinyl alcohol)(EVOH)薄膜),该气阻和光阻材料层叠加在热密封塑料材料层上,并且继而利用另一热密封塑料材料层覆盖,该另一热密封塑料材料层形成最终与食物产品接触的包装的内面。
在图1中所示类型的也称为填充机的全自动包装机1上生产该类包装,其中连续竖管2从卷筒(web-fed)包装材料3形成,通过应用化学杀菌剂(诸如过氧化氢溶液)来对其杀菌,一旦完成杀菌就从包装材料的表面移除(例如通过加热来蒸发)该化学杀菌剂。卷筒包装材料3维持于封闭无菌环境中并且被折叠和纵向密封以形成竖管2。
然后借助在管2内部延伸并且配备有流量调节电磁阀(solenoid valve)5的填充导管4用杀菌或者杀菌处理的可倾倒食物产品向下填充竖管2,并且已知设备沿着竖直路径将竖管2馈送到成型台6,其中包括两对或者更多对钳夹(jaw)的钳夹系统沿着等间距的横截面夹持竖管2,钳夹循环和连续地作用于管2并且密封管2的包装材料以形成通过横向密封带来相互连接的枕状包裹7的连续带。然后通过切割相关密封带将枕状包裹7相互分离,并且将包裹输送到最终折叠台(未示出),在最终折叠台中,将它们机械折叠为完成的(例如基本上平行六面体形)包装8。
在以铝层作为阻隔材料的无菌包装的情况下,管2通常由感应密封设备纵向和横向密封,该感应密封设备在铝层中感应寄生电流以局部融化热密封塑料材料。更具体而言,为了横向密封,每对钳夹中的一个包括由非传导材料制成的主体和在主体中的前座中容纳的感应器;以及另一钳夹配有由弹性屈服(yielding)材料(诸如橡胶)制成的压力垫。
在相对对钳夹夹持管2时,向感应器供电以通过热密封塑料覆盖材料来密封管2的横截面。感应器在被供电时生成脉动磁场,该磁场继而在制成竖管的包装材料中的铝片中产生寄生电流,因此局部融化热密封塑料覆盖材料。
在无铝层或者其它电传导材料的包装的情况下,管2通常由从外向内局部加热包装材料的热板横向密封。更具体而言,每对钳夹中的一个配备有热板,冰枪另一钳夹配有由弹性屈服材料制成的一个或者多个压力垫。在称为热板密封的该类型的密封中,热板需要相对长的时间来局部融化热密封塑料覆盖材料,这造成低的包装生产率。
为了改进填充机的性能,已经介绍了例如在本申请人名下的EP-B-615907中所公开类型的超声密封设备,其本质上包括砧座(anvil)和超声换能器(也称作超声发生器(sonotrode)),该超声换能器可操作用于将电能转换成超声机械振动能,该超声换能器安装在每对钳夹的相应钳夹中并且配合以借助超声振动来加热包装材料的。
发明内容
超声密封设备的组件通常很昂贵,并且因此如果其寿命比担保寿命短则可能出现担保要求。一般而言,产品担保在恰当和规律使用所担保产品时是或有的,并且因此为了满足制造商和购买者对公平担保条款和条件以及对公平解决担保纠纷的需要,双方感觉需要一种允许随时间直接和连续监视并且证明超声密封设备的操作的解决方案。
然而已经证实超声密封设备的操作不容易直接可监视,因为超声密封设备的一些组件可能在不同时间在不同填充机中使用。类似地,已经证实基于与生产有关的数据对超声密封设备的间接监视不可靠或者在该数据不可用时甚至不可行。
本发明的目的在于提供一种允许随时间连续地、容易地、可靠地和高效地监视超声密封设备的操作的解决方案。
该目的由本发明实现,其中本发明涉及一种如在所附权利要求书中限定的包装机和超声密封设备。
与超声密封设备的超声换能器关联的电子计数器随时间监视超声密封设备的操作以对包装机中的超声密封设备的超声密封循环进行计数。该电子计数器可以布置于超声换能器壳中或者在单独的壳中并且电连接到超声换能器。

具体实施方式
呈现下文描述以使本领域技术人员能够制造和使用本发明。本领域技术人员将容易清楚对实施例的各种修改而不脱离要求保护的发明的范围。因此,本发明并不旨在限于所示实施例,而是将被赋予以与这里公开的并且在所附权利要求书中限定的原理和特征一致的最广范围。
图2示出了在图1中所示填充机中的超声密封设备中提供的用于对超声密封设备执行的密封循环或者操作进行计数的电子计数器的电子图。
由10参考的电子计数器,包括:
· 成对的输入端子11.1、11.2,预期被电连接到超声密封设备12,其密封操作(下文称为超声密封循环)将被计数;
· 平衡式电容分压器13,连接到输入端子11.1、11.2;
· 电压桥整流器14,连接到平衡式电容分压器13;
· 稳定式供电源15、电压计16和计数脉冲生成器17,连接到电压桥整流器14;以及
· 基于微处理器的计数器18,连接到稳定式供电源15、电压计16和计数脉冲生成器17并且被配置为对超声密封设备12的超声密封循环和填充机1的生产循环两者进行计数。
更详细地,在图2中示意地示出了超声密封设备12,仅限于理解根据本发明的电子计数器10的操作而必需的超声密封设备12的那些部分。超声密封设备12包括可操作用于供应脉冲AC功率信号VUS的供电源19,以及电耦合到供电源19以接收和响应地将脉冲AC功率信号VUS转换为超声机械振动来加热密封片包装材料3的超声换能器或者超声发生器20。
电子计数器10可以被布置在超声换能器壳中或者在单独的壳中,并且电连接到超声换能器20。电子计数器10和超声换能器20的系列号在装配期间相互不可分解地关联并且被记录在超声换能器制造商保存的适当纸质登记册或者电子寄存器中。
如图3中所示,脉冲AC功率信号VUS是同一个电停顿时间DT隔开的AC电压信号的串列(train),该电停顿时间DT 的值依赖于填充机1的容量(包装/小时)并且可以例如为0.7秒。每个AC电压信号是正弦波电压信号,其具有数十kHz的频率、约为一千伏特的RMS(均方根)幅度以及依赖于待执行的操作而变化的持续时间。在描述的具体例子中,每个正弦波电压信号具有在超声密封设备12的超声密封期间可以不低于70-80毫秒(通常为100ms)或者在超声密封设备12的校准期间约为50毫秒的持续时间TD。事实上,通常每10个超声密封循环就执行一个校准循环以确定超声换能器20的无载功率吸收从而补偿其与磨损有关的漂移。
平衡式电容分压器13连接到输入端子11.1、11.2以接收脉冲AC功率信号VUS并且被设计成输出具有与与脉冲AC功率信号VUS相同的时间和频率特性、但是AC电压信号的幅度减少的分压脉冲AC功率信号VDIV。在图2中所示具体例子中,平衡式电容分压器13包括在图2中所示例子中数量为六的偶数个电容器,这些电容器串联连接在输入端子11.1、11.2之间,并且其中串联连接的电容器的中间节点限定平衡式电容分压器13的输出。
电压桥整流器14连接到平衡式电容分压器13的输出以接收分压脉冲AC功率信号VDIV,并且可操作用于对分压脉冲AC功率信号VDIV进行全波整流以及输出脉冲全波整流功率信号VRT。如图3中所示,脉冲全波整流功率信号VRT是由前述电停顿时间DT隔开的全波整流电压信号的串列。每个全波整流电压信号是正或者负的半正弦波电压信号,其持续时间TD与脉冲AC功率信号VUS中的AC电压信号的持续时间相等、频率为AC电压信号的频率的两倍并且正或者负幅度为AC电压信号的峰峰幅度的一半。另外从可操作观点来看,每个全波整流电压信号表示向超声密封设备12的超声换能器20供应的超声密封脉冲,并且导致超声密封设备12的超声密封循环。
稳定式供电源15连接到电压桥整流器14的输出以接收脉冲全波整流功率信号VRT并且被设计成输出用于基于微处理器的计数电路18的例如3.3或者5伏特的稳定式电源电压。特别地,稳定式供电源15包括输入级21和级联连接的供电源级22,其中输入级21包括电容器和并联连接的齐纳二极管,提供该电容器和二极管以接收脉冲全波整流功率信号VRT并且输出用于级联连接的供电源级20的电压。更详细地,电容器具有这样的高电容(在图2中示出的例子中约为100μF)以维持跨越其的电压在连续超声密封循环之间几乎稳定,该电压继而表示向级联连接的供电源级20供应的电压并且将往往由于基于微控制器的计数级18的功率消耗而在连续超声密封循环之间下降。代之以提供齐纳二极管以限制向级联连接的供电源级20供应的最大电压并且保护它免受更高电压。
电压计16实质上包括RC滤波器,该RC滤波器连接到稳定式供电源15的输入级21以接收与向稳定式供电源15的级联连接的供电源级20供应的电压相同的电压,并且被设计成输出电压电平信号VLEV,该电压电平信号指示跨稳定式供电源15的输入级21的电容器的电压的幅度。
计数脉冲生成器17实质上包括RC滤波器,该RC滤波器连接到电压桥整流器14的输出以接收脉冲全波整流功率信号VRT,并且被设计成生成用于基于微处理器的计数电路18的计数脉冲VP。特别地,RC滤波器被设计成针对脉冲全波整流功率信号VRT中的每个全波整流电压信号生成大体上矩形的计数脉冲。鉴于每个全波整流电压信号的特性,如图3中所示,计数脉冲表示超声密封设备12的超声密封循环,并且因此将具有等于向超声换能器20供应的全波整流电压信号的持续时间的持续时间TD,即在超声密封设备12的超声密封期间等于或高于70-80毫秒,或在超声密封设备12的校准期间约为50毫秒。
基于微处理器的计数器18包括:微控制器23,连接到稳定式供电源15以接收稳定式电源电压VST、连接到电压计16以接收电压电平信号VLEV以及连接到计数脉冲生成器17以接收计数脉冲VP;形式为压电晶体(石英)振荡器的时间时钟24,连接到微控制器23以向后者提供稳定时钟信号;编程连接器或者端口25,连接到微控制器23以允许后者在超声密封设备12不运转时由适当编程的外部电子编程设备编程;以及读取/写入连接器或者端口26(诸如RS-232串行端口),连接到微控制器23以允许后者在超声密封设备12不运转时由适当编程的外部电子读取/写入设备读取/写入。
在超声密封设备12运转时从超声密封设备12的供电源19或者在超声密封设备12不运转时从连接到编程端口25或者读取/写入端口26的外部电子设备向微控制器23供应电功率。特别地,在超声密封设备12运转时,其供电源12供应的脉冲AC电压信号VUS首先由稳定式电源16转换成稳定式电源电压VST,然后向微控制器23的适当电源焊盘供应该稳定式电源电压VST
另外,根据电功率的源,微处理器23被适当编程为在三个互斥操作模式中操作:
· 在超声密封设备12运转并且从超声密封设备12的供电源19向微控制器 23供应电功率时,在计数模式中操作;
· 在超声密封设备12不运转并且从连接到读取/写入端口26的外部电子读取/写入设备向微控制器23供应电功率时,在终端模式中操作;以及
· 在超声密封设备12不运转并且从连接到编程端口25的外部电子编程设备向微控制器23供应电功率时,在编程模式中操作。
在计数模式中,微控制器23实现微控制器23的临时内部寄存器形式的易失性计数器,以对超声密封设备12的超声密封循环进行计数,并且可选地实现微控制器23的临时内部寄存器形式的附加易失性计数器,以对超声密封设备12安装于其上的填充机1的连续生产循环进行计数。
特别地,就超声密封循环计数器而言,微控制器23被编程为在超声密封设备12的超声密封循环和校准循环之间进行区分,从而在超声密封循环出现时增加超声密封循环计数器。为了这样做,微控制器23被编程为:
· 通过适当确定向其供应的每个计数脉冲的持续时间TD来将具有等于或者高于70-80毫秒的持续时间TD的计数脉冲VP与具有低于50毫秒的持续时间TD的计数脉冲区分开来。为了这样做,确定每个计数脉冲VP的持续时间TD,并且继而将该持续时间TD与具有在前述持续时间TD之间的中间值的时间阈值进行比较;以及
· 在区分超声密封循环时将超声密封循环计数器中的值加一。
就生产循环计数器而言,微控制器23被编程为确定填充机1的生产循环(定义为在填充机1打开与关闭之间的时间跨度)何时出现,从而在生产循环结束时增加生产循环计数器。为了这样做,微控制器23被编程为:
· 感测电压计16供应的电压电平信号VLEV以检测跨稳定式电源15的输入级21的电容器的电压幅度降至微控制器23的关闭电源电压以下,该事件指示关闭超声密封设备12并且终止填充机1的生产循环;以及
· 在电压电平信号VLEV指示终止填充机1的生产循环时将生产循环计数器中的值加一。
最后,为了防止超声密封循环计数器和生产循环计数器中的值在微控制器23关闭时丢失,微控制器23还被编程为:
· 在电压电平信号VLEV指示跨稳定式供电源15的输入级21的电容器的电压幅度降至微控制器23的关闭电源电压以下时,在微控制器23的内部非易失性存储器(诸如EEPROM)中永久地、不可复位底和不可擦除地存储超声密封循环计数器和生产循环计数器两者中的值。
在再次操作超声密封设备12时,再次实现和初始化超声密封循环计数器和生产循环计数器为存储在微控制器23的内部非易失性存储器中的值。
在终端模式中,可以经由由外部电子读取/写入设备发送的适当读取命令从微控制器23的内部非易失性存储器读取数据(诸如电子计数器10的系列号)、超声密封设备12的超声密封循环的量和填充机1的生产循环的量。也可以经由由外部电子读取/写入设备发送的适当写入命令在微控制器23的内部非易失性存储器中写入数据(诸如电子计数器10的系列号)以及可选的关联超声换能器20的系列号。外部电子读取/写入设备也可以向微控制器23发送其它读取/写入命令以读取/写入微控制器23的其它内部寄存器用于测试/调试的目的。
最后,在编程模式中,微控制器23被适当编程为如先前描述的那样操作。
本领域技术人员可以容易地理解根据本发明的电子计数器10允许实现的优势。特别地,电子计数器10允许随时间直接和连续监视超声密封设备12的操作,并且特别地,容易地、可靠地和高效地确定超声密封设备12执行的超声密封循环的量,因此允许公平处理与担保有关的问题。

Claims (15)

1.一种包装机(1),可操作用于生产由热密封片包装材料(3)制成的并且包含食物产品的密封包装(8),并且所述包装机(1)包括超声密封设备(12),所述超声密封设备(12)包括可操作用于生成电功率信号(VUS)的电功率信号源(19),以及超声换能器(20),其电耦合到所述电功率信号源(19)以接收所述电功率信号(VUS)并且响应地热密封所述片包装材料(3);其特征在于所述包装机(1)还包括电子计数器(10),其可操作用于对所述超声密封设备(12)的超声密封循环进行计数。
2.根据权利要求1所述的包装机,其中所述电子计数器(10)包括:
· 信号处理电路(13,14,17),被配置为接收并处理来自所述电功率信号源(19)的所述电功率信号(VUS)并且针对所述超声密封设备(12)的每个超声密封循环生成计数脉冲(VP);以及
· 脉冲计数电路(18),其电耦合到所述信号处理电路(13,14,17)以接收和计数所述计数脉冲(VP)。
3.根据权利要求2所述的包装机,其中所述脉冲计数电路(18)被设计成实现:
· 超声密封循环计数器,其可操作用于对所述超声密封设备(12)的超声密封循环进行计数。
4.根据权利要求3所述的包装机,其中所述脉冲计数电路(18)还被设计成实现:
· 生产循环计数器,其可操作用于对所述包装机(1)的生产循环进行计数。
5.根据权利要求3或者4所述的包装机,其中所述脉冲计数电路(18)被设计成由外部电子设备插入并且在所述超声密封设备(12)运作时从所述超声密封设备(12)的所述电功率信号源(19)或者在所述超声密封设备(12)不运转时从插入式外部电子设备向其供应电功率。
6.根据权利要求5所述的包装机,其中所述脉冲计数电路(18)被设计成在从所述超声密封设备(12)的所述功率信号源(19)向所述脉冲计数电路(18)供应电功率时在计数模式中操作,其中对所述超声密封设备(12)的超声密封循环进行计数,以及在从插入式外部电子读取/写入设备向所述脉冲计数电路(18)供应电功率时在终端模式中操作,其中可以读取所述超声密封设备(12)的计数的超声密封循环。
7.根据权利要求6所述的包装机,其中所述脉冲计数电路(18)还被设计成在从插入式外部电子编程设备向所述脉冲计数电路(18)供应电功率时在编程模式中操作,其中可以对所述脉冲计数电路(18)进行适当编程。
8.根据权利要求2至7中的任一权利要求所述的包装机,其中所述电子计数器(10)还包括:
· 供电源(13,14,15),其电耦合到所述超声密封设备(12)的所述电功率信号源(19)以接收所述电功率信号(VUS)并且将其转换为用于所述脉冲计数电路(18)的电功率(VST);
· 电源计(16),其电耦合到所述供电源(13,14,15)以供应指示所述供电源(13,14,15)供应的所述电功率(VST)的电功率电平信号(VLEV);
并且其中所述脉冲计数电路(18)包括:

9.根据权利要求8所述的包装机,在依赖于权利要求3时,其中所述微控制器(23)被编程为:
· 区分与所述超声密封设备(12)的超声密封循环对应的计数脉冲(VP)和与所述超声密封设备(12)的校正循环对应的计数脉冲(VP);以及
· 在超声密封循环出现时操作所述超声密封循环计数器。
10.根据权利要求9所述的包装机,其中所述微控制器(23)还被编程为:
· 感测所述电功率电平信号(VLEV)以检测来自所述供电源(13,14,15)的所述电功率(VST)降至所述微控制器(23)的关闭电功率以下;以及
· 在所述电功率电平信号VLEV指示来自所述供电源(13,14,15)的电功率(VST)降至所述微控制器(23)的关闭电功率以下时永久地存储所述超声密封设备(12)的计数的超声密封循环。
11.根据权利要求10所述的包装机,在依赖于权利要求4时,其中所述微控制器(23)还被编程为:
· 在所述电功率电平信号(VLEV)指示来自所述供电源(13,14,15)的电功率(VST)降至所述微控制器(23)的关闭电功率以下时操作所述生产循环计数器。
12.根据权利要求11所述的包装机,其中所述微控制器(23)还被编程为:
· 在所述电功率电平信号VLEV指示来自所述供电源(13,14,15)的电功率(VST)降至所述微控制器(23)的关闭电功率以下时永久地存储所述包装机(1)的计数的生产循环。
13.根据任一前述权利要求所述的包装机,其中所述电子计数器(10)布置在所述超声换能器(20)的壳中。
14.一种用于在包装机(1)中使用的超声密封设备(12),所述包装机(1)可操作用于生产由热密封片包装材料(3)制成的并且包含食物产品的密封包装(8),所述超声密封设备(12)包括可操作用于生成电功率信号(VUS)的电功率信号源(19)、电耦合到所述电功率信号源(19)以接收所述电功率信号(VUS)并且响应地热密封所述片包装材料(3)的超声换能器(20)以及根据任一前述权利要求所述的用于对所述超声密封设备(12)的超声密封循环进行计数的电子计数器(10)。
15.一种根据任一前述权利要求所述的电子计数器(10),用于与包装机(1)中的超声密封设备(12)一起使用,所述包装机(1)可操作用于生产由热密封片包装材料(3)制成的并且包含食物产品的密封包装(8),所述电子计数器(10)用于对所述超声密封设备(12)的超声密封循环进行计数。
