Description

用于内燃机的可变阀动装置
技术领域
本发明涉及一种用于内燃机的可变阀动装置,其能够改变进气阀的升程量以及打开和关闭时刻。 
背景技术
传统地,已知用于改变进气阀和出气阀的升程量的可变阀门升程机构以及用于改变阀门的打开和关闭时刻(相位)的可变阀门正时机构作为用于内燃机的可变阀动装置。越来越多的现代内燃机装配有上述两种结构,以便进一步改善燃料效率和输出性能。 
在具有可变阀门升程机构和可变阀门正时机构二者的内燃机中,如果仅仅将这两种机构合并,那么当升程量或者打开和关闭时刻显著改变时,活塞可能在其上止点附近与进气阀或者出气阀干涉。 
因此,已经研制了这样一种技术,其调节可变阀门升程机构和可变阀门正时机构的操作,以免进气阀和出气阀与活塞干涉(日本特开2008-115779号公报)。根据该专利文献,该技术具有用于通过可变阀门升程机构调节升程量的变化的调节装置,以及用于通过可变阀门正时机构调节阀门打开和关闭时刻的调节装置,并根据升程量调节阀门打开和关闭时刻,又根据阀门打开和关闭时刻调节升程量。 
然而,在上述专利文献中所述的技术中,可变阀门正时机构和可变阀门升程机构二者中的每一个都需要设置有调节装置,因此整个结构复杂。如果试图根据打开和关闭时刻来连续地保证高升程量,那么该可变阀门正时机构和可变阀门升程机构应该协作地受到调整控制。因此,该控制不可避免地复杂化。 
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供一种具有可变阀门升程机构和可变阀门正时机构的用于内燃机的可变阀动装置,其中可以通过简单的结构和控制来防止进气阀与活塞之间的干涉。 
为了实现本发明的目的,提供一种用于内燃机的可变阀动装置,其特征在于,包括:凸轮轴相位改变机构,其可变地控制内燃机的进气凸轮相对于曲轴的相位;以及可变阀门升程机构,其使得进气阀的关闭时刻的变化大于打开时刻,并且基本连续地改变进气阀的升程量和打开期间,其特征还在于,在通过所述凸轮轴相位改变机构将相位控制为最提前位置,并且通过所述可变阀门升程机构将升程量控制为最大值的状态下,设定该进气阀的升程量和打开期间,以免内燃机的进气阀与活塞相干涉。 
因此,可变阀门升程机构在基本不改变阀门打开时刻的情况下改变升程量,使得仅仅通过利用凸轮轴相位改变机构来设定相位的最提前位置就能够避免活塞与进气阀之间的干涉。因此,可变阀门升程机构不需要设置调整装置,并且可变阀门升程机构和凸轮轴相位改变机构不需要以彼此协作的方式调整。由此,在具有该两个这样的机构的内燃机中,能够通过简单的结构和控制防止进气阀与活塞之间的干涉。 
此外,即使在凸轮轴相位改变机构的最提前位置中,也能够驱动可变阀门升程机构以改变阀门打开期间,使得可以提升燃料效率。 
优选地,在通过凸轮轴相位改变机构将相位控制为最提前位置,并且通过可变阀门升程机构将升程量控制为最大值的状态下,该可变阀门升程机构应该基本地设置进气阀的升程量和打开期间,以免超过上止点处的升程。 
由此,在通过凸轮轴相位改变机构的最大提前角控制以及通过可变阀门升程机构的最大升程量控制的情况下,基于在上止点处的升程量设定可变阀门升程机构的进气阀的升程量和打开期间。因此,即使进气阀的打开时刻在可变阀门升程机构中提前,也能够防止与活塞的干涉。 
此外,优选地,应该通过油压制动器来驱动凸轮轴相位改变机构,并且应该通过电力制动器来驱动可变阀门升程机构。 
由此,通过电力制动器驱动可变阀门升程机构,使得即使油温与低温起动的情况一样低或者即使油压由于低速工作而上升不足,也能够准确地控制升程量。结果,即使在低温、低速工作时也能够提升燃料效率。 
此外,由于阀门升程量与空气量密切相关,所以可变阀门升程机构需要对变化具有非常高的响应性,因此电力制动器的使用是明智的。 
此外,优选地,可变阀动装置应该进一步包括保持装置,该保持装置设置在凸轮轴相位改变机构中,并且保持进气凸轮的相位在提前侧上。并且在发动机的低温、低速工作时,该保持装置保持进气凸轮的相位在提前侧上。 
因此,即使如低温启动时那样,油温很低,或者即使油压减小到如低速操作的状态中那样,进气阀的相位也被保持装置驱策到提前侧,使得可以通过利用可变阀门升程机构改变进气阀的升程量和关闭时刻来提升燃料效率。

图1是具有本发明实施例的可变阀动装置的内燃机(下文中称做发动机)1的示意结构图。 
本实施例的发动机1包括DOHC气阀机构,并且被作为行走的驱动源而安装于车辆内。正时齿带轮4和5分别连接到发动机1的进气凸轮轴2和出气凸轮轴3的各自的前端。该正时齿带轮4和5通过正时皮带6连接于曲柄轴7,进气凸轮轴2和出气凸轮轴3与正时齿带轮4和5一起旋转。通过驱动进气凸轮轴2上的进气凸轮2a来打开和关闭进气阀8,并且通过出气凸轮轴3上的出气凸轮3a来打开和关闭出气阀9。 
本实施例的可变阀动装置用于驱动进气阀8的气阀机构。该可变阀动装置具有凸轮轴相位改变机构11和可变阀门升程机构12,这将在后面描述。 
图2是凸轮轴相位改变机构11的内部结构图。该凸轮轴相位改变机构11将参考图1和图2来描述。 
凸轮轴相位改变机构11位于进气凸轮轴2与进气侧正时齿带轮4之间。所使用的凸轮轴相位改变机构11可以是叶片型凸轮轴相位改变机构,例如在日本特开2000-27609号公报或者日本专利第3846605号公报中所描述的。 
如图2所示,凸轮轴相位改变机构11以这样的方式构造,即,叶片转子14可旋转地设置在正时齿带轮4的壳体13中,并且进气凸轮轴2连接于该叶片转子14。 
油压控制阀(下文中称为OCV)15通过限定在进气凸轮轴2中的燃油通道而连接于凸轮轴相位改变机构11。当OCV15被切换时,从发动机1的燃油泵16所供应的驱动油被供给到限定在叶片转子14与壳体13之间的燃油腔17中,从而叶片转子14旋转。因此,可以连续地调节进气凸轮轴2相对于正时齿带轮4的相位角,即,进气阀8的打开和关闭时刻。 
此外,凸轮轴相位改变机构11具有锁紧销18和弹簧(激励装置)19。锁紧销18被构造成插入到叶片转子14中的装配孔20中,从而防止该转子14旋转。因此,可以设定叶片转子14的最大前进位置。弹簧19位于壳体13与叶片转子14之间,并且用于在前进方向上激励转子14。

例如,该可变阀门升程机构12的结构在日本特开2005-299536号公报中被描述。如图3所示,除了进气凸轮轴2和用于驱动进气阀8的摇臂30之外,还设置了中心摇臂31和摆动凸轮32(省略其详细说明)。在通过旋转进气凸轮轴2而垂直移动摇臂30的时候,摇杆轴34通过电机33被驱动,以移动中心摇臂31的支点位置,使得可以改变进气阀8的最大升程量,并且,从最大升程量到最小升程量的范围,阀门关闭时刻随着升程量的减小而提前,同时阀门打开时刻保持基本不变。因此,可变阀门升程机构12是将中心摇臂31和摆动凸轮32组合到进气凸轮轴2和摇臂30中的单独的机构,并且具有基本连续地改 变进气阀8的升程量和打开期间的功能。 
ECU40具有输入-输出装置(未示出)、诸如ROM和RAM等的存储装置、中心处理单元(CPU)、定时计数器等,并且综合地控制发动机1。 
例如曲轴角度传感器41和节流阀传感器42的各种传感器连接于ECU40的输入侧。曲轴角度传感器41探测发动机1的曲轴角度。节流阀传感器42探测节流阀(未示出)的开度。此外,除了OCV15和电机33之外,燃料注入阀43、火花塞44等连接于ECU40的输出侧。ECU40根据来自各传感器的探测信息来判定点火时刻、注入量等,并且主动地控制火花塞44和燃料注入阀43。此外,基于预先设置的绘图,ECU40根据发动机旋转速度和节气阀开度计算进气阀8的升程量和目标相位角,驱动电机33和OCV15,并且执行控制使得通过实际升程量和相位角达到目标值。

此外,连接到凸轮轴相位改变机构11的锁紧销18用于保持进气阀(8)的打开时刻的最大提前角(保持装置)。如果将进气阀8的升 程量控制为最大,则设定并调整最大提前位置,以免进气阀8和活塞45彼此干涉(曲线a)。调整的提前位置可以是能够到达凸轮轴相位改变机构11上的最大提前位置,或者是由锁紧销18保持并且不能超过的极限位置,而与该机构无关。 
因此,根据本实施例的发动机1,仅仅调整凸轮轴相位改变机构11的最大提前角,并且即使通过控制可变阀门升程机构12来改变升程量,也能够确实地防止与活塞45的干涉。因此,根据本实施例,凸轮轴相位改变机构11与基本连续地改变阀门打开期间和相位的可变阀门升程机构12相结合,由此,可变阀门升程机构12既不需要设置有单独的调整装置,也不需要受到可变阀门升程机构12的调整控制。结果,可以通过简单的结构和控制来防止进气阀8与活塞45之间的干涉。 
此外,即使在凸轮轴相位改变机构11中执行提前调整,通过可变阀门升程机构12,阀门打开时刻也能够保持在最提前位置附近,而与升程量的变化无关,因此可以防止燃料效率降低。此外,如果在该凸轮轴相位改变机构11中执行提前控制,则在可变阀门升程机构12的控制下,改变阀门关闭时刻以及升程量。例如,在重载、高速工作期间通过延迟进气阀8的关闭时刻,进气填充效率由于升程量的增加而提升,因此可以提升输出性能。另一方面,在轻载、低速工作期间,通过提前阀门关闭时刻,能够提升燃料燃烧性能。 
此外,由于可变阀门升程机构12通过电力制动器驱动,因此即使油温与低温起动的情况一样低,或者即使油压由于低速工作而没有足够地增加,也能够准确地驱动该可变阀门升程机构12。因此,可以提升用于低温、低速工作的燃料效率。 
此外,由于发动机输出非常依赖于阀门的升程量,所以阀门升程量应该响应加速器的操作,因而需要电气化。 
特别地,如果使用可变阀门升程机构代替节气阀来控制空气量,为了减轻泵气损失,可变阀门升程机构需要具有非常高的对变化的响应性,因此使用电力制动器是明智的。 
此外,由于即使有与相位改变机构的协同控制,也应该被调整为以适应低响应的油压执行器,所以需要节流阀的校正控制。因此,能够足够地缓解泵气损失,因此燃料效率降低。此外,对于节流阀、相位改变以及升程改变的协作控制非常困难,以至于由燃烧波动引起振动和排气的变差。 
此外,凸轮轴相位改变机构11设置有用于在提前侧上激励转子的弹簧19。因此,即使油温与低温起动的情况一样低,或者即使油压由于低速工作而没有足够地增加,也执行在提前侧上的控制。而且,即使在锁紧销18没有工作的时候,也能够执行提前侧的控制。
