技术领域

背景技术
全球移动电信系统(UMTS)是从欧洲标准的全球移动通信系统(GSM)发展而来的第三代移动通信系统。UMTS旨在基于GSM核心网络和宽带码分多址(W-CDMA)技术提供更好的移动通信服务。
图1给出了一个示范性示意图,该图示出了传统移动通信系统的全球移动电信系统(UMTS)网络。UMTS主要包括用户设备(UE)或终端、UMTS地面无线接入网(UTRAN)和核心网络(CN)。UTRAN包括至少一个无线网络子系统(RNS),每个RNS由一个无线网络控制器(RNC)和至少一个由RNC控制的基站(节点B)组成。对于每个节点B,都至少有一个小区。

第二层(L2)的MAC层通过逻辑信道为被称作无线链路控制层(RLC)的上层提供服务。第二层的RLC层支持可靠数据传输和执行从上层接收的服务数据单元(SDU)的分段和并置。
L3层的底端部分的无线资源控制(RRC)层在控制面被定义,并且控制用于配置、再配置和释放无线载波(RB)的物理信道、逻辑信道和传输信道。RB是第二层为在终端和UTRAN之间的数据传输提供的服务。RB的配置包括定义提供特定服务所需的协议层和信道的特性,以及配置各自的特定参数和运作方法。

为了实施通信,终端需要与UTRAN进行RRC连接以及与核心网络(CN)进行信令连接。终端通过RRC连接和信令连接,向UTRAN或CN发送和/或从UTRAN或CN接收终端控制信息。
图3给出了一个典型示意图,用于解释RRC连接如何建立。
在图3中,为了建立RRC连接,终端发送RRC连接请求消息至RNC,随后RNC发送RRC连接建立消息至终端以响应RRC连接请求消息。在终端接收到RRC连接建立消息后,终端发送RRC连接建立完成消息至RNC。如果上述步骤成功完成,终端建立了与RNC的RRC连接。在RRC连接建立后,终端发送初始直接传输(IDT)消息至RNC,用于初始化信令连接过程。
WCDMA的随机接入信道将在以下进行更加详细的描述。
随机接入信道(RACH)用于在上行链路上传输短数据,并且部分RRC消息(也就是RRC连接请求消息、小区更新消息、URA更新消息)是通过RACH进行传送的。RACH映射进公共控制信道(CCCH)、专用控制信道(DCCH)和专用业务信道(DTCH),随后RACH映射进物理随机接入信道。
图4示出了如何执行物理随机接入信道(PRACH)功率斜坡和消息传输。
参考图4,PRACH作为上行链路物理信道,被划分为前同步码部分和消息部分。前同步码部分用于适当控制消息传输的传输功率(即功率斜坡功能),以及用于避免多个终端之间的冲突。消息部分用于发送从MAC传输至物理信道的MAC PDU。
当终端的MAC指示到终端的物理层的PRACH传输时,终端的物理层首先选择一个接入时隙和一个(前同步码)签名,并且传输PRACH的前同步码至上行链路。在这里,前同步码在特定长度的接入时隙持续时间(如1.33ms)内发送。在第一个确定长度的接入时隙内从16个不同的签名中选择一个签名,并将其发送。
如果前同步码由终端发送,基站通过作为下行链路物理信道的捕获指示信道(AICH)发送响应信号。AICH响应于前同步码,发送在第一确定长度的接入时隙内选择的签名。在这里,基站借助从AICH发送的签名发送ACK响应或NACK响应至终端。
如果接收到ACK响应,终端使用与发送的签名相符的OVSF码发送10ms或20ms长度的消息部分。如果接收到NACK响应,则终端的MAC在一定时段后再一次指示至终端的物理层的PRACH传输。同样,如果没有接收到关于发送的前同步码的AICH,则终端在预定接入时隙后发送与之前的前同步码相比具有更高功率的新的前同步码。
图5示出了捕获指示信道(AICH)的示范性结构。
如图5所示,AICH作为下行链路物理信道,在5120码片长度的接入时隙内发送16个字符的签名(Si,i=0,....,15)。终端可以从签名S0到签名S15中选择任意签名(Si),然后在第一个4096码片长度内发送选择的签名。在没有符号传输期间,余下的1024码片长度设置为传输功率中断期。此外,与图5相似,上行链路PRACH的前同步码部分在第一个4096码片长度内发送16个字符的签名(Si,i=0,....,15)。

图6示出了进化通用移动电信系统(E-UMTS)的示范性结构。E-UMTS系统是由UMTS系统发展而来的系统,它的标准化工作现在由3GPP标准组织进行。
E-UMTS网络通常包括至少一个移动终端(即用户设备:UE)、基站(即节点Bs)、执行无线电(无线)控制功能的控制面服务器(CPS)、执行无线资源管理功能的无线资源管理(RRM)实体、执行移动终端的移动性管理功能的移动性管理实体(MME)、以及位于E-UMTS网络末端并且与一个或更多外部网络连接的接入网关(AG)。在这里,能够理解的是不同网络实体的特定名称不限于上述名称。

图7的无线协议控制面及图8的无线协议用户面的特定层将在以下进行描述。物理层(即层1)利用物理信道向更高层提供信息传输服务。物理层通过传输信道与位于物理层之上媒体接入控制(MAC)层连接,数据通过传输信道在物理层和MAC层之间进行传输。此外,在各自不同的物理层之间,即,在发送端(发射机)和接收端(接收机)各自的物理层之间,数据通过物理信道进行传输。

位于层3最底层部分的无线资源控制(RRC)层仅在控制面被定义,其处理与无线载波(RB)的配置、再配置和释放有关的逻辑信道、传输信道和物理信道的控制。这里,RB指的是由层2为移动终端与UTRAN间的数据传输提供的服务。
就上行链路传输中用于从移动终端向网络发送数据的信道而言,有用于传输初始控制消息的随机接入信道(RACH)和用于传输用户业务或者控制消息的共享信道(SCH)。而且,在上行链路传输信道中,有为终端接收上行链路SCH而传输必要控制信息的上行链路共享控制信道(SCCH)。上行链路SCCH传输包括关于数据变化、数据信道编码技术和传输至上行链路SCH的数据大小的信息。

发明内容
技术问题
在网络中,RNC提供各种信息(“测量”)去控制和/或管理无线网络环境并支持无线资源分配。这种测量可以通过多种方式执行(也就是由终端来执行测量、由网络来执行测量)。然而,由RRC消息控制的测量与由终端执行的测量相关。尽管测量功能由RNC来执行或者由UTRAN中的节点B来执行,但该测量功能由网络本身来执行,这样就不再通过RRC消息来控制了。
测量相关信息通过测量控制消息和/或者通过系统信息广播传输给终端。终端通过测量报告消息周期性或者当事件(即用户命令,设置信息等等)发生时向UTRAN报告测量结果。UTRAN传输的测量控制消息包括不同的细节信息。而且,不同类型的测量能够在特定的终端中执行,并且每个测量过程独立实施。
依据终端RRC状况,测量控制信息能够通过多种不同方式传输给终端。也就是,空闲模式中的终端通过接收通过广播信道(BCH)传输的系统信息块#11(SIB#11)获取测量控制信息,在Cell_FACH状态、Cell_PCH状态和/或UTR_PCH状态中的终端通过接收系统信息块#12(SIB#12)获取测量控制信息。而且,如果终端处在Cell_DCH状态,则终端通过专用的控制信道(DCCH)接收测量控制信息。
技术解决方案
开发本发明以解决相关技术的上述问题。结果,本发明提供了一种通过预先分配无线资源向网络发送测量报告的方法,这样终端使用之前分配的上行链路无线资源向网络发送测量报告。

具体实施方式
本发明的一个方面是本发明的发明人认识到上述相关技术的问题和缺点,并将在下文更加详细阐述。基于这些认识,本发明的特点已经显现。
在相关技术中,当执行测量报告时终端发送测量结果至基站。如果没有分配的上行链路无线资源去发送测量报告消息,终端需要向基站请求上行链路无线资源。这里,终端利用随机接入信道(RACH)去请求上行链路无线资源。然而,在相关技术中,当终端使用RACH去请求上行链路无线资源时,由于终端间RACH冲突(也就是使用RACH的多个终端选择相同的签名)的可能性,测量报告所用时间增加了。
相反,本发明的特点是提供了基站通过特定消息预先(也就是在终端发送测量报告之前、在终端发送RACH建立请求至基站之前)发送上行链路无线资源至终端,接着终端利用先前分配的上行链路无线资源发送测量报告消息至基站。因此,终端可以时延最小地发送测量报告至基站。
应该注意的是本发明的特点可与关于3GPP标准的长期演进(LTE)相关。同样,3GPP标准和其相关章节或部分、以及其不同的扩展增强,都适用于本发明。
图9示出了根据本发明的示例性实施方式的在移动通信系统中传输测量报告的示意图。
如图9所示,eNB20可以基于测量报告的类型决定是否预先分配无线资源。这里有不同类型的测量报告。例如,频内测量涉及相同频率的下行链路物理信道状态的测量,频间测量涉及其他频率的下行链路物理信道状态测量,业务量测量涉及报告UE 10的上行链路业务量。
同样,当基于测量报告的类型测量报告为必要时,eNB 20周期性预先分配上行链路的无线资源(S10),分配的上行链路无线资源通过测量控制消息或者系统信息发送给UE(S11)。
UE10判断分配的上行链路无线资源是否可用(S12)。如果之前分配的上行链路资源可用,那么UE 10使用先前分配的上行链路无线资源发送测量报告消息(S13)。
此处,可假定UE 10发送业务数据给上行链路。如果eNB 20由于测量报告状况设置不得不发送测量报告消息,那么UE 10在发送业务数据后或者以背负(piggyback)的形式(即将测量报告消息包含在业务数据中)发送测量报告消息。这种情况下,测量报告消息有比业务数据更低的优先级。而且,UE 10可以首先发送测量报告消息,然后可以发送业务数据。在这种情况下,测量报告消息具有比业务数据更高的优先级。
如上所述,UE 10可以按照它们优先级的顺序发送测量报告消息和业务数据。进而,eNB 20可以根据测量报告的类型设置它的优先级。
如果上行链路无线资源之前没有被分配,那么为了使用RACH向eNB发送测量报告消息,UE可以通报无线资源请求。(S14)
同样,如上面所解释的,UE根据发自eNB的系统信息或者测量控制消息执行测量报告。如果之前分配的上行链路无线资源未包括(或如果上行链路无线资源从没有分配)在测量控制消息或者系统信息中,那么UE请求用于使用RACH发送测量报告消息给eNB的无线资源。
而且,UE可以通知eNB:RACH正在被用于为当前测量报告分配无线资源。即,如果UE通过在RACH中使用特定信息发送请求信息给eNB,那么eNB可以判断哪个UE来执行何种测量报告,并且发送合适的上行链路无线资源给UE用于优化。此外,eNB可以通过将特定信息包括在RACH前同步码中确定哪个UE执行了何种测量。

13、根据权利要求11的方法,其中周期性地进行测量报告。
14、根据权利要求11的方法,所述方法进一步包括:在业务数据传输之前传输所述测量报告、在业务数据传输之后传输所述测量报告或以背负形式传输所述测量报告。
15、根据权利要求11的方法,其中所述测量报告和业务数据是基于它们的优先级进行传输的。
16、根据权利要求11的方法,所述方法进一步包括:如果没有上行链路无线资源可用,为了通过随机接入信道(RACH)传输测量报告消息而发送上行链路无线资源请求至网络。
17、一个在移动通信系统中传输测量报告的移动终端,该移动终端包括:
适合从网络接收关于上行链路无线资源的信息及利用该上行链路无线资源传输测量报告到网络的无线协议实体,其中在所述终端发送测量报告之前在网络中分配所述上行链路无线资源。
