Abstract
Se proporciona un método para producir astaxantina, que comprende: (a) realizar un cultivo heterótrofo de Haematococcus pluvialis productor de astaxantina; (b) realizar el cultivo heterótrofo de Haematococcus pluvialis obtenido en el paso (a) en condiciones de alta concentración de acetato y alta concentración de oxígeno disuelto, donde la concentración de acetato es de al menos 1800 mg/L y la concentración de oxígeno disuelto es de al menos 2,0 mg/L; y (c) recolectar células de algas del paso (b) y/o recolectar astaxantina. También se proporciona un medio base para cultivar Haematococcus pluvialis, un medio de alimentación de propagación y un medio de alimentación de inducción.
