Cette der- rri-r e. traverse un couvercle c2 vissé dans une ow-erture supérieure c3 ménagée dans la tête c, en 'race du canal V et ayant un diamètre assez grand pour qu'on puisse retirer la tige d3 de cette tête < , avec le corps dl;
Si l'on veut verser de la liqueur, on prend la bouteille n. d'une main par le corps<I>ci',</I> c'est-à-dire à distance de l'ouverture; et on l'incline pour amener le goulot cl à proxi mité immédiate du verre dans laquelle la liqueur doit être versée, cette inclinaison produit l'ouverture du couvercle !'. Une fois la bouteille à la. bonne hoition, on agit, par l'un des doigts de la main qui la tient, sur le crochet hl;
Apparatus which fits into a liquid container and serves to control the flow of liquid out of the container. The object of the invention is an apparatus adapting to a liquid container which is held in the hand by tilting it to release the liquid therefrom and serving to control the flow of the liquid out of the container.
It comprises a stopper placed in the opening of the container through which the flow of the liquid takes place and pierced with a channel through which this flow occurs, a hollow head, which is carried by the stopper, into which the channel opens. and which is provided with a flow neck, an obturator device housed in the head and normally closing the channel, finally an operating device connected to the obturator device and ending within reach of one of the fingers of a hand which keeps the container at a distance from the opening when the latter is tilted to release liquid therefrom, so that this finger can then act on the operating device and produce the opening of the shutter device.
The attached drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the apparatus. Figs. 1 and Z are an elevation and a vertical axial section made by a plane passing through the point from which the elevation is taken; Fig. 3 is a view of a detail.
The embodiment shown is suitable for a glass liquor bottle ci consisting of a1 cylindrical body as well as a neck a = swelling in its middle part and ending in a cylindrical neck a3.
The stopper b comprises a metallic body b 'having at its lower part a circular cavity b, in which the top of the neck a3 is housed, as well as an axial projection <B> V </B>, in which the flow channel b4 and on which there is an elastic lining b ', of fine cork for example, resting on the inner surface of this neck a3.
The body b 'came from manufacture with the metal head c, which generally has the shape of a hollow sphere, into which the channel V opens and which has a side neck c' through which the liquid s' flows outside. . Inside the head c is located the obturator device d consisting of a valve body dl, made of elastic material, fine cork cry for example, and intended for:
.'apply on a seat b \ 'consisting of an upper frustoconical flare dut cariai V. The body dl is held in <B> place on a </B> rod d3 between a bulge d' = of the latter and a screw cl 'secured to the lower extremity of the rod d3.
This behind. crosses a cover c2 screwed into an upper ow-erture c3 formed in the head c, in 'race of the channel V and having a diameter large enough to be able to remove the rod d3 of this head <, with the body dl;
it passes through a sealing gasket consisting of a ring ci, of fine cork for example, log, 'e in a cavity cl of the cover c2 and held in place by a washer c'. An acting spring is supported on the washer. on the bulge d = of the rod d3 and tending to keep the body dl in contact with the seat b \ '.
The rod <I> c13, </I> on the outside of the cover c2, is Hanging in ç16 cry fork whose two branches carry an ankle of. This is followed by one of the ends <B> f </B> l, also arranged in a fork, of a lever f provided with tiri axis f <B> '</B> whose two ends rest in cutouts g1 of the branches of a metal fork g produced with the head e.
On the other end f3, of the lever f is articulated the actuator cotiytitué as a cylindrical rod h provided at its lower part with a hook lt. ' is located near the body a 'of the bottle a.
The rod h pale near the hook hl in a cylindrical om-erture it formed in the faces in contact of two branches ï = il which consists of a spring collar i adapting to the neck cx2 of the bottle a between the bulge and the body a ', these two parts are pressed one on the other and on the neck a2,
with variable force by a bolt i4 and a wing nut there.
The key neck is bevelled and has a metal cover c $ articulated on it in c9 at its upper part and closing automatically by its own weight. when the bottle is vertical, it then prevents dust from entering the head c.
All the metal parts of the device are in silver metal, with the exception of the spring which is entirely in silver; in this way the liquor can take on bad taste on contact.
When the bottle is at, its normal vertical position and no action is taken on the. rod h, the spring e, maintains the body c11 in contact with the seat b '' and the cover c "is closed.
If you want to pour liquor, you take bottle n. with one hand by the body <I> ci ', </I> that is to say at a distance from the opening; and it is inclined to bring the neck cl in immediate proximity to the glass in which the liquor is to be poured, this inclination produces the opening of the lid! '. Once the bottle is there. good hoition, one acts, by one of the fingers of the hand which holds it, on the hook hl;
the removal of the valve body dl from the seat V is thus produced and the liquor only then flows into the glass. At the precise moment when the latter has received the desired quantity, the hook hl is abandoned, which allows the spring E = to reapply the body dl on the seat b1 and to interrupt in an instantaneous manner the flow of the liquor although the bottle is not immediately lifted. This is a great advantage, because the raising of a black bottle fitted with the apparatus,
It can only take place with difficulty at the precise moment when the glass has received the desired quantity, so that this glass contains either too much liquor or not enough. In addition, sewing the cap b is adapted to remain in the bottle, there is no risk of it falling right and left and getting dirty as is the case for the cap of a black bottle fitted with the device. .
When we want to clean the device or change the body dl, we remove a fear the two branches i2 i3 of the collar i, cry loosening the nut it which frees the rod / c; we can then release at the. times the. fork fi of the pin d 'and the axis / 2 of, cutouts g', then all that remains is to unscrew the cover c2 to gain access to the parts of the shutter device d and inside the head vs.
The apparatus can naturally be adapted to containers other than a liqueur bottle.
