Description

       

      Verfahren    zur Herstellung eines Farbstoffes     der        Trinaphtylmethanreihe.    -    Es wurde .gefunden, dass durch Behandeln  von     a-Naphtol    mit     Tetrahalogenmethan    in  Gegenwart eines     säui-ebindeiiden    Mittels und  vorteilhaft in Gegenwart eines     Katalysators     ein neuer Farbstoff erhalten wird. - Dieser  Farbstoff;

   der als     Ausgangsmaterial    zur Her  stellung anderer     Farbstoffe    dienen soll, bil  det, in Form seiner     Farbsäure,    ein rotbraunes  Pulver mit metallischem Glanz, welches in  Wasser schwer löslich ist, sich dagegen     finit     blauer Farbe in Natronlauge,     Sodalösung    und  konzentrierter Schwefelsäure löst.         Beispiel     144 Teile     a-Naphtol    werden in 400 Tei  len Wasser unter Zusatz von 320 Teilen     -          30- /oiger    Natronlauge gelöst.

   Hierauf wird  mit 56 Teilen     Tetrachlormethan    und 5 Teilen       Kupferpulver    versetzt. Die ganze Masse wird  so lange durchgerührt, bis die blaue Färbung,  die bald eintritt, an Intensität nicht mehr  zunimmt. Dann wird der gebildete     Farbstoff     durch     Ansäuren    vollständig abgeschieden und  durch Lösen in verdünnter Natronlauge und       Aussalzen    mit Kochsalz gereinigt.    Statt 'kalt zu arbeiten, kann diese Reak  tion auch kochend am     Rückflusskühler    durch  geführt werden, wobei dasselbe Produkt er  halten wird,

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Farb stoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass a-Naphtol mit Tetrahalogenmethan in. Gegenwart eines säurebindenden Mittels behandelt wird.- Der treue Farbstoff; der als Ausgangsmaterial zur Herstellung anderer Farbstoffe dienen soll, bildet in Form seiner Farbsäure ein rotbraunes Pulver mit metallischem (älänz, welches in Wasser schwer löslich ist, sich dagegen mit blauer Farbe in Natronlauge, Sodalösung und konzentrierter Schwefelsäure löst.
