The invention relates to a film dispenser and a separator for films in a film dispenser according to the preamble of claims 1 and 10.
Films, such as those used in particular in the gastro area, but also in private households, are usually wound on cardboard tubes and packed in disposable containers made of cardboard or corrugated cardboard. Such disposable containers protect the film roll from external influences and usually have the shape of a square with square end faces. By removing a first-use protection or after the opening of the disposable container, a removal opening is exposed, through which the outer foil edge is passed. By pulling on this end of a film piece of the desired length is pulled out of the container and separated by means of a separator. Conventional separation devices usually comprise a serrated edge or a sawtooth strip, which is formed in the region of one of the longitudinal edges of the disposable package.
To separate a film section, both the container and the film must be grasped and, in a cumbersome movement sequence, the film must be pulled out of the container and separated. The usually thin and sensitive film is usually damaged. In particular, in cling films made of plastics, which easily adhere due to their electrostatic properties or due to van der Waals forces, there is a risk that different film areas adhere to each other and can hardly be separated from each other. It is also known to use film rolls in refillable dispensers, in which the withdrawn film section can be separated by means of a slidable transversely to the film web cutting device. Such dispensers are relatively expensive.
For storing and transporting the film rolls additional disposable containers are required, which must be opened and disposed of when refilling a dispenser. The refilling of dispensers is also usually cumbersome.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a low-cost, foil dispenser with an easy-to-use separator, said foil dispenser is stackable and suitable for storing and transporting rolled or multilayer films.
This object is achieved by a film dispenser according to the features of patent claim 1 and by a separator for films in a film dispenser according to the features of claim 10.
The film dispenser according to the invention comprises a housing, which is preferably made as a disposable container made of cardboard or corrugated cardboard, and a separating device with a displaceable along a guide profile cutting device. At the separation device fastening means are formed which allow a latching, releasable positive connection with corresponding, formed on the housing retaining means. For attachment to the front wall of the housing from the upper end side, the separating device preferably comprises below or laterally adjacent to the guide profile a receiving groove between two longitudinal strips. The guide profile and the longitudinal strips can e.g. be made as a one-piece extrusion or injection molded plastic.
The guide profile defines a guide channel and comprises two shoulders which are separated from one another by a longitudinal gap and serve as a support or rail for a cutting device displaceable along the profile. To separate a film section of this is pulled out of the housing and placed in the region of the dividing line to be formed over the shoulders. At least one, but preferably both shoulders comprise means for fixing the film during the separation process. Preferably, an adhesive layer is formed on the shoulders for this purpose, e.g. a layer of silicone rubber, thermoplastic elastomer or similar materials. The adhesive layer may e.g. molded directly on the shoulder during the extrusion or injection molding process or alternatively be subsequently formed.
Instead of an adhesive layer could also fine teeth or teeth along one or both shoulders punched or formed in any other way.
At the longitudinal bars are e.g. formed by punching and forming into the receiving groove projecting guide punches and / or holding punches or tongues. The guide punches are used to align or guide the separator when plugging on the housing and limit the range of motion transverse to the mounting direction. Here punching edges or surfaces are used by the upper end side open recesses or slots in the mounting wall as a stop or retaining means for the tongues. Similarly, the holding punches prevent that a disconnected on the mounting wall separating device can be readily withdrawn against the mounting direction of the mounting wall again. When attaching to the housing, the retaining lances are elastically deformed by abutment with the mounting wall and thus enable the attachment to the mounting wall.
In the mounting wall are at a distance from the upper end side recesses formed which allow springing back of the corresponding holding punches as soon as the separator has reached its desired end position. The upper punching edges or surfaces of these recesses serve as a stop or retention means for the tongues.
The cutting device comprises in a preferred embodiment of the invention, a loose or with a lot of play in the guide channel slidable guide body, a resting on the shoulders of the guide profile (or resting on these shoulders slide) control element and a guide body and the operating element connecting, through the gap between the two shoulders protruding middle part with a knife. The knife comprises two blades or cutting edges, each associated with one of the two opposite displacement directions and inclined at an acute angle to the film plane between the shoulders.
The underside of the control element has good sliding properties relative to the film. Alternatively, other means, such as e.g. Brushes or rollers are used with poor adhesive properties with respect to the film material. To cut the film, the separating device is moved along the guide profile. The film adheres to the adhesive edges, but not on the control.
The inventive film dispenser is stackable. For this purpose, at least the front portion of the housing cover between the mounting wall and a removal opening formed on the housing cover and the upper end side of the mounting wall are arranged lower than the upper edge of the housing rear wall and the two side walls of the housing. In addition, the front wall or the mounting wall of the housing is arranged inclined backwards, so that protrudes in plan view of the housing, the housing bottom forward over the separator. When stacking such film dispensers can be avoided by appropriate arrangement of each adjacent film dispensers that the separation devices are charged.
In general, the housing is a disposable container, wherein the film is rolled up on a cardboard tube as a shaft and rotatably mounted in the housing. The foil may e.g. an aluminum foil or a polyethylene or PVC foil. Of course, films of other materials and / or multilayer films may be stored in the housing. With appropriate design of the housing, certain films could alternatively be provided in other ways, e.g. layered in a meandering manner, be stored in the housing.

Fig. 1 shows in perspective view a film dispenser 1 for e.g. Cling films made of polyethylene, PVC or aluminum. Of course, other types of films can be included in such a film dispensers 1. Although such film dispensers 1 are primarily used in the gastro sector, they can also be used in private households. The film dispenser 1 comprises a housing 3, which is preferably designed as a stackable carton made of corrugated cardboard. In alternative embodiments, the housing 3 can also be made of cardboard or other materials such as e.g. Plastic or be made of composite materials.
The housing 3 comprises a rectangular housing bottom 5, a rectangular housing rear wall 9 orthogonal to the housing bottom 5, a rear housing 9 slightly inclined rectangular Gehäusevorderwand 7, a parallel to the housing bottom 5 arranged, rectangular housing cover 11 and two substantially trapezoidal housing side walls 13a , 13b. In alternative embodiments, the housing side walls 13a, 13b may be e.g. be formed rectangular or square.
As can be seen from the cross-section of the foil dispenser 1 shown in Fig. 2, the housing cover 11 is lower than the upper edges of the rear wall 9 and the side walls 13a, 13b of the housing 3 by an offset s1. attached by means of a glue flap 11a on the rear wall 9 and supported by a support tab or plate 11b at the inner edge between the housing bottom 5 and the housing front wall 7. The housing front wall 7 and the housing bottom 5 enclose an angle [alpha] which is slightly less than 90 [deg.], E.g. about 80 deg. The support plate 11b and the housing bottom 5 enclose an angle [beta] which is slightly smaller than the angle [alpha], e.g. about 70 deg. The upper end face of the housing front wall 7 is approximately at the same height above the housing bottom 5 as the housing cover 11.
The housing front wall 7 is formed as a mounting wall for a separator 51, wherein the separator 51 is attached from the upper end side on this mounting wall and held by a locking connection form-fitting on the mounting plate, and wherein this separator 51 in the mounted state not on the upper edge of the housing or ., The upper edges of the rear wall 9 and the side walls 13a, 13b of the housing 3 protrudes.
In the housing 3, a film roll 31 is mounted rotatably with a rolled up on a shaft 33 film 35 between the two housing side walls 13a, 13b. The shaft 33 is preferably a cardboard tube and projects beyond the wound film 35 on both sides. On the housing cover 11, a removal opening 12 is formed. It is preferably designed as a longitudinal gap parallel to the axis of rotation of the film roll 31 and can be covered by a cover flap 11c formed on the housing cover 11, wherein this cover flap 11c, before being used for the first time, e.g. along a perforation line can be separably connected to the adjacent part of the housing cover 11.
The separation device 51 comprises a longitudinal profile or extruded profile, the upper part of which is designed as a guide profile 53, said guide profile 53 defines a guide channel 59 and two separate by a longitudinal gap shoulders 54, and wherein at least one of these shoulders 54 an adhesive edge 57 is formed for fixing the film 35 during the cutting process. The lower part of the extruded profile comprises between a front strip 56 and a rear strip 58 a receiving groove 60 for attachment to the housing front wall 7 or on the mounting plate from the upper end side thereof. FIGS. 3 and 4 show perspective views of the housing 3 and the separating device 51.
On the mounting plate, recesses 62 are punched out along the upper end side at a small distance (for example about 5 mm to about 25 mm) from this end face and / or into this end face. At least one of the punching edges or surfaces of each of these recesses 62 serves as a stop surface or retaining means for corresponding thereto, formed on the front bar 56 and / or the rear bar 58 of the separator 51, projecting into the receiving groove 60 fastening means. These attachment means are preferably resilient tongues 64, e.g. are formed by punching and forming or bending rectangular areas of the front bar 56 and / or the rear bar 58.
The leading edges of the tongues 64 serve as bolt heels, which limit the range of motion of the separating device 51 relative to the mounting wall by abutment against the respective punched edges of the recesses 62. The two outer and the middle of the tongues 64 shown in FIG. 4 are connected to the rear strip 58 along a lower, aligned parallel to the longitudinal direction of the extruded profile buckling edge. They are holding punches 64a and are resiliently pushed away when attaching the separator 51 by contact with the mounting wall and feathers upon reaching the end position in the corresponding recesses 62 on the mounting wall back. By this locking the separating device 51 is positively connected to the mounting wall or the housing front wall 7. The connection can be released by pressing the tongues 64 across the mounting direction again.
The remaining two of the tongue 64 shown in Fig. 4 are aligned along orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the extruded profile, formed on the left and right edges of these tongues 64 creases with the rear bar 58. These tongues 64 are guide punches 64b, which engage in the slot-shaped recesses 62 when plugging in the separating device 51 and thus guide the separating device 51 or hold it in the correct lateral position relative to the housing 3 and displacements of the separating device 51 relative to the housing 3 in FIG Prevent longitudinal direction of the extruded profile. 5 shows a cross section of the extruded profile with the holding punches 64a and guide punches 64b projecting into the receiving groove 60.
Near the two ends of the extruded profile, stopping punches 64c projecting into the guide channel 59 in an analogous manner are designed to limit the range of motion of a cutting device 55 displaceable along the guide profile 53. 6 shows a detail of the extruded profile as a longitudinal section along the line A-A in FIG. 5 in the region of one of the guide punches 64b. FIG. 7 shows a detail of the extruded profile as a longitudinal section along the line A-A in FIG. 5 in the region of one of the holding punches 64a. 8 shows a further detail of the extruded profile in the region of one of the stop punches 64c as a longitudinal section along a sectional plane parallel to and between the front strip 56 and the rear strip 58.
A cutting device 55, as shown in perspective in FIG. 9, comprising an elongate guide body 73, a control element 7 9 arranged above the guide body 73 and spaced therefrom, and a middle part connecting the operating element 7 9 and the guide body 73 with a knife 75, is formed so that the guide body 73 can be inserted from the front, open ends into the guide channel 59, wherein the stop punch 64c located there is resiliently pressed down due to the force exerted by the guide body 73 and force behind the guide body 73 back to the original Location springs back.
The front edges of the stop punches 64c now form stops for the guide body 73 and thus limit the range of motion on guided movement of the cutting device 55 along the guide profile 53. The knife 75 formed on the middle part comprises two at an acute angle relative to the two displacement directions of the cutting device 55 less than 45.degree. cut blades or blades 75a, 75b. The knife 75 is anchored in a cuboid base 76 made of plastic, wherein the blades 75a, 75b protrude on two opposite end sides of this base 76. The base 76 connects the guide body 73 and the operating element 79. The base thickness is dimensioned so that the base 76 along the guide profile 53 with little play in the longitudinal gap between the two shoulders 54 is displaced.
Preferably, base 76, guide body 73 and control element 79 are manufactured as a one-piece plastic injection-molded part, wherein the central region of the blade 75 is encapsulated with plastic. For better anchoring in the plastic part 75 holes or recesses may be formed on the knife (not shown).
Fig. 10 shows a cross section of the separator 51. The height s2 of the base 76 and the dimensions of the guide body 73 are matched to the guide profile 53, that the cutting device 55 loose or with much play along the guide profile 53 between the stop punches 64c guided is displaceable. If the operating element 79 rests on the shoulders 54 of the guide profile 53, the guide body 73 rests on the shoulders 54 and the adhesive edges 57, lies between the outer surface of the guide body 73 and the inside of the guide profile 53, a gap 78, preferably at least approximately uniform width of the order of eg can have about 0.5mm to about 2mm. The cutting device 55 accordingly has a range of motion in the direction of the pedestal in the same order of magnitude.
The operating element 79 or at least the underside thereof has good sliding properties relative to the film 35. Alternatively, at the bottom of the control element 79, other means such as e.g. Brushes or rollers are used with poor adhesive properties with respect to the film material. For cutting the film 35, the cutting device 55 is moved along the guide profile 53. In this case, the film 35 adheres to the adhesive edges 57, but not on the operating element 79. In the two outer edge positions, where the guide body 73 rests against the respective stop punch 64c, the cutting device 55 is relative to the extension direction of the film 35 next to this film 35, and the operating element 79 and the end face of the extruded profile border flush or at a small distance to the inside of the respective housing side wall 13a, 13b.
The top of the control element 79 is curved to move with one or two fingers ergonomic concave and provided with a corrugation.
As shown in Fig. 11, the inventive film dispenser 1 are stackable, each alternately in each stack level each second film dispenser 1 with the housing bottom 5 aligned upward and the inclined housing front walls 7 adjacent to each other.
