Fig. 1: Baustellenüberdeckung im Querschnitt
Fig. 2: Seitenansicht der Baustellenüberdeckung
The present invention relates to a method for covering a construction site and an apparatus for performing this method. The aim was to solve the following problem:
You should be able to work on construction sites even in bad weather. Therefore, it is desirable that they can be covered. While a cover can be dispensed with in new buildings, this is almost an absolute necessity for conversions, especially if the old roof has to be torn down. In any case, it must be prevented that the rain or snow in the building can cause any damage.
So far, the following two solution options have been taken:
1st variant:
The construction site was only partially roofed in advance in order to have access by crane. The uncovered part was then covered at most in the evening after the end of work. This solution was bad because in real rain it was not enough protection against water damage.
2nd variant:
In order to have optimal protection against precipitation, the entire construction site was provided with a provisional roof. This had the disadvantage that there was no longer any access to the crane or that, in order to prevent this, the construction site had to be partially covered each time in a complicated or cumbersome manner. The inventor can eliminate these disadvantages by the method defined in claim 1 and by the device for carrying out this method described in claim 8. During work, one or the other roof part, for example for crane work, can be pushed aside to have sufficient access. On the other hand, the entire construction site area is covered during the night and during heavy rainfall.
The exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to figures. Show it:
Fig. 1: Construction site coverage in cross section
Fig. 2: Side view of the construction site coverage
In Fig. 1, a cross section is shown, on which the house to be converted and above, for example, two movable roof parts 1 and 2 are shown below. With both roof parts 1 and 2 it can be seen that they are mounted on wheels 3, which in turn move on rails. In this way it is possible to move the two roof parts 1 and 2 back and forth as desired. As the figure in Fig. 1 shows, a very simple and light tubular steel construction with cross struts was chosen for these two roof parts, which can be covered with tarpaulin, plastic or sheet metal. So that the roof width can be adapted to the respective needs, there are two options:
Option 1: Additional commercially available scaffolding elements are added to the roof, which makes the roof wider.
Option 2: The individual roof parts have an articulated connection on the gable, so that their slope and thus their width can be changed.
An adjustable horizontal tie rod helps with this roof width setting and also gives the roof part the necessary support. A maximum roof width of 30 m is provided for the normal case. A very simple solution could also be found for the scaffold, which must support the entire emergency roof, by using a commercially available tubular steel scaffold 5. However, this is set up with an additional reinforcement of the frame or with a double frame guide so that it can withstand the enormous forces caused by the weight of the movable roof parts. In addition, the reinforced tubular steel frame is anchored to the house wall at certain points 7, so that sufficient stability is also achieved for lateral forces.
A U-shaped scaffolding bracket 6 is mounted on the reinforced tubular steel frame 5, on which the rails for both the lower and the upper roof part are mounted. In order to avoid dangerous torque forces, care was taken with this construction that the rails, which have to bear the enormous weight of the roof parts, lie exactly vertically one above the other, so that the force action line of the contact forces of the upper roof part comes to lie exactly in the same line like those of the lower roof part.
In order to give the tubular steel scaffold 5 in the upper part and the U-shaped scaffolding console 6 an additional stability, both parts are provided with a lattice support 8, which is at the top of the outer corner of the U-shaped scaffolding console 6 and further down on the Height of the first anchor 7 with the house on the steel tube frame 5 is attached.
It is important that the entire U-shaped scaffolding bracket 6 is not assembled on the tubular steel scaffolding 5 from the very beginning, so that the upper half of this scaffolding structure is assembled so that the first roof part 1 can be easily placed on the provisional roofing -Console 6 would stand in the way when putting on the first roof part 1. For this reason, the scaffolding console 6 has been constructed in two parts, so that it is possible to mount the upper half of this scaffolding console 6 only after the first roof part 1 has been put on.
At the same time, however, it is also necessary that the scaffolding console 6 is adjustable in height. This is because the roof parts 1 and 2 are adjustable in width and thus also in their gable height.
With a smaller width and greater steepness, the pull rod 4 of the upper roof part 2 would get in the way of the gable of the lower roof part 1. For this reason, the scaffolding console 6 must be able to be adjusted to a greater height in the case of a steeper roof. This adjustability was realized in that the middle vertical part of the scaffolding console 6 consists of a square tube, while the two horizontal legs of the same consist of double-T beams at the top and bottom. So that the two tube halves can be pushed telescopically into each other from the upper and lower part of the scaffolding console 6, the thickness of the upper tube half was chosen larger than that of the lower. In our concrete example, we have an 18 cm wide square tube at the top, while we only have one of 16 cm at the bottom.
The height of the scaffolding console 6 can thus be adjusted (for example between 1.5 and 3.2 m). Once set, the height can then be fixed with locking screws.
In Fig. 2 the whole emergency roof construction is shown again from the side. Here we see the lower roof part 1 and the upper roof part 2, which overlap slightly when the construction site is fully covered. The wheels 3 and the rails 9 can also be seen. The U-shaped scaffolding consoles 6, which in our case are at a distance of approximately 3 m from one another, are firmly connected to one another both by the rails 9 and by cross struts.
With the device described here, the inventor has thus succeeded in finding an expedient and at the same time comfortable solution to the problems mentioned at the beginning. The simple construction method used at the same time guarantees that its manufacture will be inexpensive and that this emergency roofing will soon replace all others.
