1. Apparatus for the transport and sorting of packages, characterized in that it provides, sliding along a fixed path, a plurality of trolleys (5) equipped, at least in part, with autonomous motor means (11), said trolleys being equipped with means (18) for transporting and unloading the objects at a predetermined point along the route.

2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that it provides:

a) a rail (1) guide consisting of a pair of sections (2) arranged slightly spaced from each other;

b) trolleys (5) for transporting packages equipped with several pairs of idle wheels (8, 10) sliding on said guide rail (1) and at least one pair of driving wheels (15).

Apparatus according to the preceding claims, characterized in that it provides, in one or more carriages, motor means (11) which drive a pair of toothed wheels (13) meshing with each other and connected to as many driving wheels (15) acting, on opposite sides, on a guide rail (1).

Apparatus according to claim 3, characterized in that said motor means are constituted by an electric motor (11) fed, by means of sliding contacts (16), by power bars (17) arranged along the path parallel to it.
