citer par exemple les brevets BE No 559940, CH No 155652, FR
la fig. 1 montre une vue de face schématique d'un véhicule muni d'un dispositif de levage;
la fig. 2 montre une vue en coupe partielle, dans l'axe transversal du véhicule, du dispositif de levage;
la fig. 3 montre une vue en coupe partielle dans l'axe longitudinal du véhicule conforme à la fig. 2;
la fig. 4 montre une vue schématique de l'avant du véhicule qui présente un dispositif de levage en position montée;

4. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the lifting cylinder comprises a piston sliding in a cylinder provided with air, said cylinder being controlled by means of a manual pump housed in the boot of the vehicle.
5. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the lifting cylinder is actuated by means of a crank provided with a toothed wheel driving a rack sliding in a tube, said rack being locked in the lowered position by means of a pin fitted in a radial bore machined in the tube and the rack.
6. Device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that one of the jacks is placed on the central left side while the second jack is placed on the central right side of the vehicle.
7. Device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that it comprises at least four lifting cylinders placed separately near the wheels of the vehicle.
The present invention relates to a lifting device for a vehicle.
Various circumstances arise for which it is necessary to call upon a member allowing the lifting of a vehicle, for example a car which is, in this case, generally provided with a jack coming to be fixed, during its use, by means of a hook under the carrying part of the car.
The jack therefore allows the vehicle to be lifted for a wheel change or for a control of the engine-transmission part; however, you can quickly see in difficult situations sloping road, snow or darkness - that there are real
difficulty placing the jack properly in line
of the car and that very often the car once
lifting causes the jack to tilt forwards or backwards, and this in
because of the vertical thrust which longitudinally destabilizes the
car.
In addition, we often see that the operator's hands are
heavily soiled by the various jack adjustment operations
lifting.
There is also another lifting method which is used very
often in garages and which consists of using an electric lift
that, lifting the entire car. This execution is costly and
can only be seen in the form of intensive professional use.
Among the patents which form part of the prior art, one can
cite for example the patents BE No 559940, CH No 155652, FR
Nos 1458279, 1341609 and 606525. Compared to the various devices described in these patents, the device according to the present invention is of simpler design, resulting in a lower manufacturing and adaptation cost. On the other hand, it allows faster and safer lifting of the vehicle.
The object of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks mentioned above, the operation of setting and mounting the jack being eliminated; moreover, because of the axial and radial rigidity of the jack, there is practically no risk of advancement or retreat of the car being on an inclined track.
To this end, the invention relates to a lifting device for a vehicle, as described in claim f.
There is shown in the accompanying drawings, a non-limiting embodiment of the object of the invention; in these drawings:
fig. 1 shows a schematic front view of a vehicle fitted with a lifting device;
fig. 2 shows a partial sectional view, in the transverse axis of the vehicle, of the lifting device;
fig. 3 shows a view in partial section in the longitudinal axis of the vehicle according to FIG. 2;
fig. 4 shows a schematic view of the front of the vehicle which has a lifting device in the mounted position;
fig. 5 shows a schematic view of the front of the vehicle which has a lifting device in the lowered position.
We will now describe, with reference to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, the lifting device, object of the invention, which comprises a jack 1 mounted in the central left part 2 of a vehicle 3 represented in the form of an automobile.
The jack 1 is controlled by an electric motor 5 provided with a toothed wheel 6 which is engaged on a rack 7 sliding in a guide tube 8. As shown explicitly in FIG. 2, the lifting cylinder I is housed between the left bodywork 9 and the driver's seat 10. A limit switch 12 controls the locking mechanism 13 which allows the final safety locking in the closed position of the rack 7 of the cylinder lifting I (fig. 2).
In addition, there is also provided an adjustable limit switch 14 controlling the locking 15 which blocks the rack 7 then being in position 18, that is to say in the lowered position, respectively working.
Since the left front wheel 20 is no longer in contact with the ground 21 in this case, it is possible to dismantle and change said wheel 20 respectively.
The rack 7 is also provided with a base 24 mounted on a ball joint whose principle is known and therefore not described and which allows a better distribution of the load on the ground 21.
The base 24 is embedded in a housing 25 provided in the transverse spacer 26 which is connected to the left longitudinal member 27 longitudinal.
In fig. 4, the lifting cylinder 1 left is in a mounted position, as well as the lifting cylinder 4 right, in all respects identical to the operating description of the cylinder 1, which is also in a mounted position, that is that is to say allowing the vehicle 3 to roll, while in FIG. 5 the lifting cylinder 1 left is in the lowered position, which allows the release of the left front wheel 20 and the left rear wheel 22 of the ground 21 for disassembly or rapid installation of snow chains for example.
The electric motor 5 control device can be done at the dashboard, in the rear trunk or also directly on a part of the bodywork which would thus be provided with a submerged electric lock.
In an alternative embodiment, it is naturally possible
to have a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder controlled by a hand pump placed in the trunk of the car or by a mechanic
rotating nism mounted on the engine.
It will be recalled that it is possible to provide, in another alternative embodiment, 4 jacks which would be mounted in the immediate vicinity
wheel sizes, allowing lifting of only one wheel at a time.
It is also possible to mount a mechanical cylinder com
mandated by a crank, for example for construction vehicles, this mechanical actuator can relate to two embodiments, one of which consists of a rack sliding freely in a bore and cooperating with a gear mounted on the axis of the control crank, the other embodiment relating to a movable threaded rod provided with a fixed nut mounted on a part of the body, the upper end of the threaded rod being provided with a manual or electric mechanism allowing rotation , respectively the advancement or withdrawal of the threaded rod relative to the ground.
The section of the mechanical or electric actuator can relate to a square, rectangular or even round shape.
