Abstract
Use of a solid material which has a temperature of sagging under load which is higher than 1000 DEG C, a weight content of aluminium, expressed as Al2O3, of between 10 and 60 %, a weight content of silicon, expressed as SiO2, of between 5 and 85 %, a weight content of calcium expressed as CaO, of between 4 and 14 % and a weight content of fluorine forming part of the structure of the material of between 0.1 and 10 %, the fluorine being in the form of alkali metal fluoride or alkaline earth-metal fluoride, to form an object intended to be in contact with molten aluminium.
