At least 2 of the last 3 constituents being present in the mixture. The mixture is fired at 550-650 DEG C. and optional drying at about 200 DEG C. and pressing at 1000 atmos. before or during the firing may be carried out.ALSO:The invention is a Patent of Addition to 906,358 and comprises ceramic friction bodies produced from mixtures containing in each 100 parts by weight, 10-80 parts of inorganic fibres, 0-60 parts of glass frit or glass formers having a low melting temperature, 0-70 parts of metal powders and/or metal oxide powder mixture, 0-30 parts of powdered graphite and/or powdered sulphide or nitride, at least two of the last three constituents being present in the mixture.
