Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide glaze contg. slightly settleable frit, easy to coat, and forming a film with superior surface luster on low temp. calcination by adding a maleic anhidride-isobutylene copolymer and water to glass frit.
CONSTITUTION: This composition consists of, by wt., (A) glass frit 100 parts, (B) boric acid 0W5, preferably 1W3 parts, (C) potassium silicate as solid 0W2, preferably 0.4W1.2 parts, (D) alumina sol as solid 0W2, preferably 0.2W0.6 part, (E) a maleic anhydride-isobutylene copolymer 0.1W5, preferably 0.1W1 part, (F) potassium hydroxide 0W3, preferably 0W1 part, (G) sodium chlorate 0W2, preferably 0.4W0.7 part, and (H) water 40W200, preferably 55W65 parts. The total amounts of the components (B), (C) and (D) is 0.3W6 parts.
