1525032 Refractory material UCPI SOC POUR L'UTILISATION DES CERAMIQUES ET DES PLATRES DANS L'INDUSTRIE and CENTRE TECHNIQUE DES INDUSTRIES DE LA FONDERIE 13 May 1976 [29 May 1975] 19704/76 Headings C1H and C1J [Also in Division F4] A process for inhibiting the effect of molten aluminium on an object with which it is intended to come into contact comprises making the object of a concrete which has a deflection temperature under load of above 1000 C, an aluminium content expressed as Al 2 0 3 of 10-92% by wt., a calcium content expressed as CaO of 4-14% by wt. and a chemically-bound fluorine content of 0À1-10% by wt., the fluorine being present in the form of an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal fluoride or a mixture thereof with an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal fluosilicate. Optionally the concrete has a silicon content expressed as SiO 2 of 5-85% by wt.
