EMI1.2
mit einem Halogenameisensäureester der Formel
R - OCO - Halogen (III) umsetzt.
Die Erfindung beinhaltet besonders Azofarbstoffe der Formel
EMI1.3
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of new sulfonic acid group-containing azo dyes with an N <amino-sulfo-phenyl) -carbamic acid ester as the diazo component and an aryl-pyrazolone coupling component containing sulfonic acid groups, which u. a. excellent for dyeing and printing natural and synthetic polyamides.
The new azo dyes correspond to the formula
EMI1.1
where R is an optionally substituted hydrocarbon radical, Ro is an optionally substituted phenylene or naphthylene radical, and R2 is an optionally substituted alkyl or aryl radical, and the aromatic ring A can be further substituted. The azo dyes of the formula (I) are obtained when the monoazo compound of the formula
EMI1.2
with a haloformic acid ester of the formula
R - OCO - halogen (III) converts.
The invention particularly includes azo dyes of the formula
EMI1.3
wherein R4 is an optionally substituted alkyl, aryl or cycloalkyl radical, R5 is hydrogen, halogen or an optionally substituted alkyl or alkoxy radical, R6 is halogen or an optionally substituted alkyl or alkoxy radical and R7 is hydrogen, halogen or an optionally substituted alkyl or alkoxy radical, or in particular azo dyes of the formula
EMI1.4
where R3 is hydrogen, an optionally substituted low molecular weight alkyl radical or a halogen atom, R8 is an optionally substituted alkyl radical having 6 to 18 carbon atoms or an optionally substituted cyclohexyl radical, and the aromatic ring A1 contains no further substituents.
The invention also includes azo dyes of the formula
EMI1.5
where R'3 is hydrogen, chlorine or methyl, R'5 is hydrogen, halogen or a low molecular weight alkyl radical, R'6 is hydrogen, halogen, a low molecular weight alkyl or alkoxy radical and R'7 is hydrogen and the aromatic ring A1 contains no further substituents.
The azo dyes of the formula (I) accordingly have at least 2 sulfonic acid groups and advantageously do not contain any metallizable group in the ortho position to the -N = N group in the A ring.
Hydrocarbon radicals are, for example, optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radicals, such as. B.
Cyclohexyl, alkylcyclohexyl, phenyl or naphthyl radicals.
Halogen can represent bromine, fluorine or iodine, but especially chlorine.
Alkyl radicals, e.g. B. straight-chain or branched alkyl radicals usually contain 1 to 18, or 1 to 12, in particular 1-6 and preferably 1, 2, 3 or 4 carbon atoms, so they can be low molecular weight alkyl radicals. Optionally substituted alkyl radicals in the meaning of R4 preferably contain 1 to 18 carbon atoms. If these radicals are substituted, they contain, in particular, halogen atoms, hydroxyl or cyano groups or alkoxy or aryl radicals (in such cases, alkyl stands for an aralkyl radical, e.g. a benzyl radical), alkoxy radicals contain, for example, 1 to 6 and preferably 1, 2, 3 or 4 carbon atoms. Aryl or arylene radicals mainly represent phenyl, naphthyl, phenylene or naphthylene radicals, which can be substituted.
Aromatic residues such as B. the ring A or the aromatic radicals RX can be replaced by halogen, cyano, nitro, hydroxyl, trifluoro or trichloroalkyl, optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy or carbalkoxy, acylamino, by an optionally substituted sulfonic acid amide group, such as mono - Or disubstituted sulfonic acid amide, optionally substituted alkyl or aryl sulfonyl, be substituted by carboxylic or sulfonic acid ester groups, by an optionally substituted carboxylic acid amide group or by the sulfonic acid group.
The reaction of a compound of the formula (III) with an amine of the formula (II) can be carried out by methods known per se, e.g. B. in water and in the presence of an acid-binding agent and at low or moderately elevated temperature.
The new dyes are mainly used for dyeing, padding or printing fibers, threads or textiles made therefrom, which consist of or contain natural or synthetic polyamides or of base-modified polypropylene fibers, or of cellulose fibers or fibers of regenerated cellulose. They are also suitable for dyeing or printing paper and leather.
The dyeing is mostly done in a neutral to acidic bath at a pH of 2-7, preferably 4-5 in the presence of an acid, e.g. B. an organic acid such as acetic acid or formic acid. Dyeings with good lightfastness and good wetfastnesses, such as washing, seawater, perspiration, aldehyde, acid, alkali, potting, smoke gas and milled fastness, are obtained. The dyes level out excellently, are readily soluble in water and cover nylon that can be dyed in streaks; the dyeings are rubfast. The dyes can also be used with themselves or with other acidic dyes, e.g. B. Anthraquinone dyes, are combined and also result in dyeings with good lightfastness and good wet fastness properties.
If the dyes of the formula (I) are colored in combination with blue dyes, e.g. B. with blue anionic anthraquinone dyes, the dyeings show no catalytic fading.
The printing processes can be carried out by well known methods, e.g. According to U.S. Patent 3,594,112.
Natural polyamides are mainly wool and silk. As synthetic polyamides, polycondensation products from lo-aminocarboxylic acid or their lactams; z. B. from c3-laurolactam, o-aminoundecanoic acid, 7-aminoenanthic acid or ± -caprolactam (polyamides 12, 11, 7 or 6), polycondensation products from dibasic organic acids, e.g. B. from dicarboxylic acids (adipic acid, sebacic acid) and diamines (hexamethylenediamine), polyamides 66 or 610, or mixed condensation products, e.g. B. from ± -Caprolactam, adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine (polyamide 66/6) can be mentioned. They can be used as yarns, woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, etc.
Compared with the closest comparable dyes from Swiss Patent 341 586, the dyes of the formula (I) have the advantage that they are particularly better suited for printing on natural and synthetic polyamides. They have a significantly better solubility in water.
In the following examples, the parts are parts by weight and the percentages are percentages by weight. The temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
example 1
26.5 parts of the monoazo dye obtained by coupling diazotized 2-amino-4-acetylaminobenzene-1-sulfonic acid with 1- (2'-chloro-5'-sulfo) -phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone are used as Disodium salt dissolved in 300 parts of water and 300 parts of alcohol. After addition of 25 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid, the solution is heated to 85 "and stirred for 3 hours at this temperature. After cooling the reaction mixture to room temperature, the precipitated deacetylated dye is filtered off, washed neutral, dissolved in 800 parts of water and 5 parts of soda, and the solution heated to 50.
25 parts of lauryl chloroformate are added dropwise within 3 hours; at the same time, the gradually falling pH value is kept between 7.5-8 with an aqueous soda solution throughout the reaction. The solution is then cooled and the dye precipitates. It is filtered off with suction, washed with ice water and dried. It dyes natural and synthetic polyimide in pure, greenish yellow shades with good wet and light fastness properties.
Analogously to the above example 1, the dye of the formula
EMI2.1
and other dyes of the formula (1), as listed in Swiss Patent No. 551,471, Examples 2 and 4 to 238.
Staining instructions
In a dyebath consisting of 4,000 parts of water, 10 parts of anhydrous sodium sulfate and 2 parts of the dye from Example 1, 100 parts of pre-wetted woolen cloth are placed at 40.
The dye liquor is heated to boiling temperature in the course of 30 minutes, held at this temperature for one hour, 4 parts of glacial acetic acid are added and dyeing is ended by heating to boiling temperature for a further 30 minutes.
During the dyeing process, the evaporated water is continuously replaced. The wool, which is dyed green with a yellow tinge, is then taken from the liquor, rinsed with water and dried.
Synthetic polyamide can also be colored using the same process. The dyeings have good light fastness and good wet fastness.
If polypropylene fibers modified with basic groups are dyed according to the above-mentioned process, similarly good dyeings are obtained.
Printing example A printing paste is produced as follows:
30 parts of the dye of the formula (VII)
50 parts of thiodiethylene glycol,
500 parts of a 300 / above aqueous crystal rubber solution,
60 parts of thiourea,
60 parts of a 200 / own aqueous ammonium sulfate solution and
300 parts water 1000 parts A nylon fabric is printed with this printing paste by known methods and dried in between; the dye is then fixed at 102 "for 30-45 minutes; the print is then soaped off at 60 °, washed out and dried. A yellow print with good fastness properties is obtained.
A similarly good print is obtained if there is no intermediate drying after applying the printing paste.
Are natural polyamides such. B. wool, printed by the same process, prints are obtained with similarly good fastness properties.
