Formamid, Methylformamid, Athylformamid, Dimethyl- formamid, Diaethylformamid, Acetamid, Uräthane, Ät- hanolamin, Diaethanolamin, Triaethanolamin, Diaethy- laminiaethanol, Thioharnstoff und seine Derivate, Gua- nidin und seine Derivate, Monoisopropylamin,
Dibutyla- min, Morpholin, Morpholinaethanol, usw., ein- und mehrwertige Alkohole, Ketone, Aldehyde, Äther, Aceta te, Ester, Glycole, Polyglycole, Glycoläther, Glycolester, Alkylenhalogenide, wie z. B.
Methanol, Äthanol, Propa- nol, Isopropa-nol, Aceton, Methylenchlorid, Acetonyla- ceton, Formaldehyd, Acetaldehyd, 1,4-Diaethylendio- xyd, Methylacetat, Äthylacetat, monobutylaether, Me- thyllactat, Octylacetat, Diaethylenglycol, Diaethylglycol,
Aethylenglycoldiaethylaether, Aethylenglycol, Hexylen- glycol, Dimethoxytetraglycol, Glycerin, Diaethylengly- colmonobutylaether, Aethylenglycolmonobenzylaether, Aethylenglycolmono -oder -diaethylaether, Aethylengly- colacetat, Aethylenglycolmonoaethylaetheracetat, Aet- hylengjycolmonomethylaether,
Aethylenglycolmonoaet- hylaetheracetat, Dipropylenglycol, Tetraaethylenglycol, Triaethylenglycol, usw..
B. flüssige Erdölfraktionen, in Betracht.

Process for dyeing or printing plastic films The invention relates to a process for dyeing or printing plastic films, characterized in that it is impregnated with a dye preparation which contains a dye, water and a water-soluble salt of a higher molecular weight fatty acid. H.
Non-textile moldings are understood to mean, above all, films and sheets which can consist of polyurethane, polyester, vinyl chloride or vinylidene chloride foils.
These can contain fillers or be reinforced by fibers, for example by fibers made from natural or regenerated cellulose, cellulose acetate, polyesters, synthetic or natural polyamides or acrylonitrile polymers. The process of dyeing or printing the materials known under the name Corfam (polyester fiber reinforced urethane material, i.e. a polyurethane film reinforced by polyester fibers) has particular significance. B.
foamed synthetic leather coated with polyurethane products.
The aqueous dye preparations have the advantage that they can be used on casting machines without addition, or practically without addition, of thickeners and / or film-forming binders. They result in extremely stable cast films. The aqueous dye preparation can also be applied to the plastic film by dipping, squeezing, rolling, brushing, spraying or printing.
All known leather dyes can be used, especially mono-, dis- or triazo dyes, metal complex dyes and reactive dyes that are relatively soluble in water, eg. B. those of which at least 0.2 g are soluble in one liter of water. It has been shown that metal complex dyes in particular can be fixed very well to the plastic films and therefore do not bleed out in water. Suitable dyes are e.g.
B. those from French patents 1073 728; 1079 152; 1 103 828; 1 138 773; 1318 843 or from the additional French patent specification 64596. The amounts of dye used are generally 0.160 g / liter.
Higher molecular weight fatty acids in the context of the invention are saturated and preferably unsaturated higher molecular weight aliphatic carboxylic acids which contain about 7 to 28 and in particular 12 to 18 carbon atoms. It is particularly advantageous to use salts of oleic acid and ammonia or those organic amines which are volatile at room temperature or at a moderately elevated temperature, which results in beneficial back network values for pigment equipment.
This promotes a good film build-up and in no way affects the wet fastness of the finishing film. The dyeings or finishes obtained with oleic acid salts can be embossed or calendered particularly well. But also corresponding salts of blown and unblown fatty acids, such as. B. Castor oil fatty acids are suitable.
As is known, blown fatty acids are natural, unsaturated fatty acids treated with atmospheric oxygen at elevated temperature, such as high molecular weight aliphatic carboxylic acids with at least one olefinic double bond. The artificial leather dyed with their help is also easy to equip. In addition, the dyes can be very easily dissolved in them at room temperature. These salts are used in amounts between approximately 0.5 and 300 g, and in particular between 5 and 150 g, per 1 liter of preparation.
It is advantageous to use a dye preparation which additionally contains a water-miscible organic solvent boiling between 50 and 200.degree.
Water-miscible organic solvents that are suitable for the process are, for example, nonionic, nitrogen-containing, organic solvents and mixtures thereof, preferably amines or amides, such as. B. acid amides, amino alcohols, alkylamines, etc. also urea and its derivatives or heterocyclic nitrogen-containing compounds, eg. B.
Formamide, methylformamide, ethylformamide, dimethylformamide, diaethylformamide, acetamide, urethane, ethanolamine, diaethanolamine, triaethanolamine, diaethy- laminiaethanol, thiourea and its derivatives, guanidine and its derivatives, monoisopropylamine,
Dibutylamine, morpholine, morpholine ethanol, etc., monohydric and polyhydric alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, ethers, acetates, esters, glycols, polyglycols, glycol ethers, glycol esters, alkylene halides, such as. B.
Methanol, ethanol, propanol, isopropanol, acetone, methylene chloride, acetonyla- cetone, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, 1,4-diaethylene dioxide, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, monobutyl ether, methyl lactate, octyl acetate, di-ethylene glycol, di-ethyl glycol,
Ethylene glycol diethyl ether, ethylene glycol, hexylene glycol, dimethoxytetraglycol, glycerine, dietethylene glycol monobutylaether, ethylene glycol monobenzylaether, ethylene glycol mono- or diethylaether, ethylene glycol acetate, ethylene glycol acetate, ethyl glycol ether.
Ethylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate, dipropylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, triaethylene glycol, etc.
The dihydric alcohols are particularly preferred. Of these solvents, about 5 to 980 g and especially 10 to 300 g, but preferably 20 to 200 g per liter of dye preparation are used. The dye preparations used can contain additional auxiliaries, eg. B. other organic solvents, conventional anionic or non-ionic wetting or dispersing agents, antifoams, synthetic resin dispersions and organic or inorganic pigments.
As further organic solvents come mainly liquid, saturated hydrocarbons, z. B. liquid petroleum fractions into consideration. They are used in amounts of up to about 50 g per liter of dye preparation and especially from 1 to 20 g. As additional wetting or dispersing agents or protective colloids, such as.
B. polyvinylpyrrolidone, sulfonated castor oil or polyoxyethylene phenols, higher molecular amines or alcohols, eg. B. Lauryltriglycoläthersulfat or Oleyleikosaglycoläther, or Alkylpolyglycoläther-oxy-acetic acid. From this you can z. B. use 0.5 to 100g and preferably 1 to 20g per liter of preparation. The protective colloids can also act as anti-foam agents such. B. can be used in amounts of 0.5-20 g / liter.
The pH of these liquors or pastes is generally 7 to 10 and preferably 7.5 to 9.5. Your temperature may be normal or elevated. The order can z. B by brushing (plush), rolling, syringes, pouring, z. B. with the help of a casting machine, printing or especially by squeezing, advantageous with the help of rollers under pressure, the rollers are under the level of the dye solution. The impregnated synthetic leather is squeezed off with advantage at room temperature and dried at elevated temperature, for. B. up to 95 C and finished as usual.
The dyeing can, however, also be carried out at temperatures of 15-95 ° C., preferably 40-70 ° C.
The dyeing can also be done under pressure or vacuum, the pressure being applied to the plastic film to be colored by two or more rotating rollers. This squeezing or squeezing pressure is generally from 0.1 kg to 50 kg per one centimeter for a roller radius of 0.5 to 100 cm, but preferably from 2 to 10 kg per centimeter for a roller radius of 2 to 60 cm, the number of revolutions of a roller is 1 to 100 revolutions per minute.
The impregnation or dyeing process can be improved by squeezing it off several times.
The roller system, preferably consisting of a smooth surface, is made, for example, of stainless cast iron or chrome-plated V2A steel or of brass or heavy metal alloys.
The impregnated or dyed leather is stored in a known manner at room temperature or at an elevated temperature and finished as usual.
The parts mentioned in the examples are parts by weight and the percentages are percentages by weight. The temperatures are given in degrees Celsius. Example 1 A mixture of 31.5 parts of ricinoleic acid, which is commercially available under the name of castor oil fatty acid, 6.5 parts of morpholine and 2.5 parts of the auxiliary from Example 25 is prepared French patent specification no. 1312 787, 30 parts of hexylene glycol, 20 parts of ethylene glycol, 5 parts of petroleum,
an odorless petroleum fraction, 2.5 parts of 25% aqueous ammonia solution and 5 parts of a 70% aqueous sorbitol solution. 75 parts of this mixture, which has a pH of 8.8, are mixed with 2 parts of the dye from Example 1 of French patent specification 1073 728 and 923 parts of water.
With this liquor with a pH value of 9.4, Corfam (registered trademark) (polyester fiber reinforced urethane material, i.e. a polyurethane film reinforced with polyester fibers) artificial leather is impregnated, pressed on the roller system, rinsed, squeezed again, dried and Equipped with suitable film images and pigments, if necessary embossed, if necessary at elevated temperature.
The dye has penetrated into the cross-section of the synthetic leather. The brown coloration obtained does not matter, it is scratch and scuff resistant, lightfast, perspiration resistant, rubfast, sandfast, does not bleed and formaldehyde, acid and heat resistant.
Instead of the castor oil acid salt, the corresponding oleic acid salt or the ammonia salt of oleic acid can be used. The 10 parts petrol can be replaced with 10 parts lauryl triglycol ether sulfate or oleyl eicosaglycol ether with equal success. Example 2 A mixture of 30 parts of oleic acid, 6 parts of morpholine, 2.5 parts of the auxiliary from Example 25 of French Patent No.
1312 787, 25 parts of hexylene glycol, 25 parts of ethylene glycol, 6 parts of petrol, an odorless petroleum fraction, 3 parts of 25% aqueous ammonia solution and 5 parts of a 70% sorbitol solution. 75 parts of this mixture, which has a p11 value of 8.9, are mixed with 3 parts of the dye from Example 1 of French patent specification 1073 728 and 922 parts of water.
A plastic film is dyed as in Example 1 with this liquor with a pH of 9.4 and finished as usual. The dye has penetrated deep into the artificial leather. The brown dyeing obtained has the fastness properties listed in Example 1.
Example 3 A mixture is prepared from 31.5 parts of oleic acid, 12 parts of a 2.5% strength aqueous ammonia solution, 951.5 parts of water and 5 parts of the dye from Example 1 from the French patent 1 110281.
With this liquor with a pH of 9.4, an artificial material is impregnated as described in Example 1 and further treated as described there.
The dye has penetrated deep into the artificial leather. The red dyeing obtained has all the fastness properties listed in Example 1.
Example 4 A mixture is prepared from 16 parts of oleic acid, 1.5 parts of ricinoleic acid, 12 parts of a 25% aqueous ammonia solution, 4 parts of petroleum, an odorless petroleum fraction, 915.5 parts of water and 15 parts Parts of the dye of the example from German patent specification 582 399.
With this liquor with a pH of 9.5 an artificial material is dyed as described in Example 1. The dye has penetrated deeply into the leather and the black dyeing obtained has all of the fastness properties listed in Example 1.
Example 5 Dissolve 3 parts of the dye from Swiss patent specification 342 307, Example 4 in 889 parts of 70 water, cool to about 20, add 100 parts of oleic acid and 8 parts of a 25 volume aqueous ammo - niac solution too.
A plastic film, known under the protected brand name Corfam (a polyurethane film reinforced with polyester fibers, known in the literature as polyester fiber reinforced urethane material) is placed between 2 rollers, with a radius of 20 mm, which are located below the level of the dye solution Pressure per centimeter of 7 kg and three passages per minute, moved back and forth for 10 minutes.
After this time, the plastic film is squeezed in running water of 40 for 2 minutes by moving back and forth between two rollers. The plastic film is then placed on a filter paper and again squeezed off by stretching to remove any rinse water present and then dried.
The dye penetrated the film deeply and evenly; it is completely colored. The coloration obtained in this way is rich in color and has the properties mentioned in Example 1.
The repeated repetition of the squeezing effect, d. H. moving the film back and forth between the two rollers enables the surface and the cross-section of the plastic film to be colored very evenly.
Instead of oleic acid, ricinoleic acid, commercially available under the name of castor oil fatty acid, can also be used with equally good success.
The equally good results are obtained if 10 parts of petroleum, an odorless petroleum fraction or just as many parts of lauryl triglycol ether sulfate or oleyl eicosaglycol ether are added to the dye preparation.
The dye given in the examples can be replaced by one of those dyes that have become known from the following patents; however, mixtures of such dyes can also be used.
