und Bedrucken von textilen Gebilden.
EMI1.2
EMI1.3
worin A einen Anthrachinonrest,
EMI2.1

and printing of textile structures.
EMI1.2
The invention relates to a process for dyeing textile material made from polyacrylonitrile or from copolymers made from predominant amounts of acrylonitrile with other monomeric compounds, characterized in that dyes of the formula

where A is an anthraquinone residue,
R1 hydrogen or alkyl,
R2 hydrogen or alkyl,
R3 hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl,
Cycloalkyl or aryl,
R4 is a radical containing a quaternary ammonium group and n is one of the numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4, the group D being in the a-position of the anthraquinone molecule, is used.
The textile structures are advantageously made with dyes of the formula

colored, padded or printed, where A is an anthraquinone residue,
R5 is a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted low molecular weight alkyl radical, in particular
Methyl, or ethyl, a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted low molecular weight alkyl radical, in particular
Methyl or ethyl,
R7 is a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted low molecular weight alkyl radical, in particular
Methyl or ethyl, an optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl radical,
R9 is an optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl radical,? ÄlQ hydrogen,
an optionally substituted alkyl
Cycloalkyl or aralkyl radical, a divalent bridge member, n means one of the numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4 and an anion equivalent to the dye cation, the group B being in the a position of the anthraquinone molecule and the radicals R and R9, together with the neighboring one N atom, can form a heterocyclic ring system.
The anthraquinone radical A, the alkyl radicals R5, R6 and R7 and the alkyl, cycloalkyl and aralkyl radicals R8, R9 and Rlo contain, if they are substituted, preferably non-water-solubilizing substituents, i.e. in particular no sulfonic acid groups or carboxyl groups. The anthraquinone residue can e.g. by an optionally substituted amino group or by chlorine, bromine, nitro, -CN, or by optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy, phenoxy, mercapto or carbonamide. Preferred dyes of the form (II) are those in which the radicals R and R6
5 each represent a hydrogen atom or one of the two symbols R5 and R6 represent a hydrogen atom and the other represents the methyl group.
The radicals R8, R9 and R10, when Rlo is not a hydrogen atom, denote optionally substituted alkyl radicals, such as optionally substituted methyl, ethyl, propyl or butyl radicals, cycloalkyl radicals, such as a cyclohexyl radical, or aralkyl radicals, such as a benzyl radical. If these radicals R8, R9 and R10 are substituted, they contain in particular a hydroxyl group or a halogen atom, such as a chlorine, bromine or fluorine atom, or a cyano group, etc. The radicals R8 and R9 can together with the adjacent N atom , form a heterocyclic ring system, e.g. a pyrrolidine, piperidine, morpholine, piperazine or an ethyleneimino group.
The radicals R8, R9 and R10 can, however, also together form a heterocyclic ring system, e.g. a grouping of the formula
EMI4.1
or stand for a pyridine radical, in which case one of the radicals denotes the T electron.
The grouping can therefore apply to a remainder of the formula
EMI4.2
stand, in which the quaternary nitrogen atom forms an unsaturated ring together with the radical Z.
The divalent bridge link in the compounds of the formula (II) is preferably a hydrocarbon radical, e.g. an alkylene radical, which can optionally be interrupted by heteroatoms such as nitrogen, sulfur or oxygen atoms, or for an optionally substituted alkenyl radical or for an optionally substituted phenylene radical, an alkylene or an alkylenephenylenealkylene radical, etc.
Examples of such bridge members are: (CH2) p-, where p is a number of 1

is to be understood / of textile material made of polyacrylonitrile or of copolymers made from predominant amounts of acrylonitrile, e.g. 80% and more acrylonitrile and up to 20 ffi of other monomeric compounds copolymerizable with acrylonitrile, in particular fibers and threads from polymerization products made from more than 80% acrylonitrile, for example from polyacrylonitrile, e.g.
"Acrilan", "Crylor", "Courtelle", "Orlon", "Dralon" (registered trademarks), or copolymers, so-called "modefied acrylics", made of 80-95 ffi acrylonitrile and 20-5 ffi vinyl acetate, vinyl pyridine, vinyl chloride, Vinyl alcohol, acrylic acid, acrylic acid ester, methacrylic acid, methacrylic acid ester, methyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate.
Such products are among the following, partly registered trademarks: "Acrilan" (the mixed polymer of 85 ss acrylonitrile and 15% vinyl acetate or vinyl pyridine from the company "The Chemstrand Corporation, Decatur, Alabama, USA), Orlon, Dralon, Courtelle, Crylor, Dynel, Acrybel, Daryl, Daran, Dolan, Ducilon, Exlan, Imelon, Kanekalon, Nitrolon, Nyma 212, Nymcrylon, Nymerlon, Psnacryl, Polacryl, Prelana, Redon, Rolan, Sniacryl, Tacryl, Vezel N, Wolcrylon, etc.
Furthermore, the dyes of the formulas (I) and (II) are also suitable for dyeing, padding and printing polyester or polyolefin fibers modified by acid groups.
The fibers from acrylonitrile polymerisation products can be colored, padded or printed in a mixture with others.
Strong, level dyeings with good light and wet fastness, such as good fastness to washing, water, fulling, perspiration, seawater, pleating, dry rubbing, heat setting, sublimation, ironing and bleaching fastness are obtained.
The dyeing is advantageously carried out in an aqueous medium, whereby it is advisable to work in a neutral or acid medium, at a pH of 2 to 10, preferably 5-7 and at temperatures of 60 to 100 ° C., preferably at boiling temperature.
The dyeing can of course also be carried out in a closed vessel at elevated temperature and under pressure, for example at a temperature of 102-120 C.
For dyeing, the procedure is, for example, that a basic dye of the formula (II) or a mixture of basic dyes of the formula (II) is mixed with, e.g. Dextrin, table salt, sodium sulfate or sugar, etc. intimately mixed in a ball mill.
Acetic acid, formic acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid or ammonium sulphate are then used to make a paste, the porridge is poured with water at about 20-800C while shaking well and the whole thing is briefly boiled. It is diluted again with water up to a liquor ratio of 1: 1 to 1: 200, but preferably from 1: 3 to 1: 100, and if necessary, a little more acid, such as e.g. Glacial acetic acid or formic acid, as well as salts from strong bases and weak acids, e.g. Sodium acetate, sodium formate, potassium formate, oxalate, and goes into the dyebath at 600 with an acrylonitrile polymerization product. It is now heated to 1000C within 30 minutes, cooked for about an hour and rinsed.
The acrylonitrile polymerisation product can also be pretreated in an acetic or acidic bath for about 10-15 minutes at 600 before dyeing.
The dyes of the formula (II) can also be dyed on the fibers mentioned from aqueous dispersion. The dispersions are advantageously prepared using non-ionic dispersants, e.g. with phenyl or alkylphenyl polyglycol ethers or with polyglycol ethers of higher alcohols.
The dyed textile structures, in particular fibers and threads, can undergo post-heat treatment, e.g. Steaming or heating to temperatures above 1000C, or aftertreatment with acids, aldehydes, e.g. Formaldehyde, oxidizing agents or anionic active agents (plasticizers, antistatic agents, etc.).
The process is suitable for all color depths up to the saturation limit of the fiber. For this purpose, it is advantageous to use 0.005 to 20 dye, preferably 0.5 to 10, based on the weight of the goods.
The usual dyeing auxiliaries can be added to the dyebath, e.g. Leveling agents, optical brightening agents, wetting agents or dye solvents, e.g. non-ionic auxiliaries of the type of an alkyl or aryl polyglycol ether in an amount of 0.05-10 based on the fiber weight, as well as salts! such as. Glauber's salts, table salt, etc.
The printing of the textile material mentioned can be carried out by the conventional methods. The printing process is also suitable for all color depths, e.g. 0.01 to 100 parts of dye per 1000 parts of printing phase, but preferably 5 to 40 parts per 1000 parts of printing paste, are added to a printing paste.
The usual printing auxiliaries can also be added to such printing pastes, for example dye solvents such as urea, thiodietbylene glycol, butyl carbitol, glycerol or nonionic auxiliaries of the alkyl or aryl polyglycol ether type, furthermore thickeners, optical brighteners, leveling agents, wetting agents, etc. may be mentioned , Locust bean gum thickening and derivatives, alginates, starch and starch derivatives, etc.
However, the polyacrylonitrile material can also be padded according to the usual method on a 2- or 3-roll pad, and then squeezed off up to a dry weight increase of 40 to 180%, preferably between 60 to 80%. The subsequent fixation can e.g. be carried out according to the pad steam process or according to the thermosol or pad roll process, although temperatures above 2000C do not appear advisable.
In the following examples, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
