<I>Beispiel 1</I> In 50 Teilen 95%iger Schwefelsäure werden bei 15,20 12 Teile a-Chloracrylnitril in 1 Stunde gelöst.
Additional patent to the main patent No. 396 254 Process for the production of reactive dyes of the anthraquinone series The subject of the present invention is a process for the production of reactive dyes of the anthraquinone series, which is characterized
that one mole of a compound of the formula
EMI0001.0019
wherein R is hydrogen or low molecular weight, optionally substituted alkyl, phenoxy or naphthoxy and Y is SOgH or X, with at least 1 mol of a compound of the formula
EMI0001.0031
where Hal is chlorine or bromine and Z is OH,
Chlorine or bromine mean, reacts in the presence of an acidic condensing agent and the resulting reaction products, when Y is X, sulfonated.
Suitable anthraquinone compounds of the formula (I) are, for. Depending on the temperature and regret partner, the turnover takes a period of: one hour to several days.
The compounds of formula (II), in which Z stands for OH, are obtained by known methods by reacting the α-haloeryl acid anude with formaldehyde, the compounds of formula (II) in which Z stands for chlorine;
or bromine is, by reacting the a-haloacrylic acid amides or nitriles: with symmetrical dichloro l> zw. Dibromodunethylether produced. The reaction is preferably carried out in concentrated sulfuric acid at temperatures from 0 ° to 60 ° C.
and the sulfuric acid solution obtained is used immediately. Since, the isolation of the a-halogzrrfyIsäxare-: tsl-halagenmethylamides is complicated and: moreover, even enough is necessary.
The compounds of the formula (II) in which Z is chlorine or bromine can also be used in .situ, i.e. H. in the reaction medium itself, in the presence of the anthraquinone compounds of the formula <B> l (1) </B> by reaction, of a-salogenacrylic acid aromatic compound:

(I) responds. When the condensation is complete, the reaction mass is expediently poured into water or a salt solution, the precipitate formed is filtered off with suction, washed with water or, if the reaction product is water-soluble, neutral with a salt solution and dried in vacuo.
The conversion of the water-insoluble reaction products in water-soluble dyes is carried out in a conventional manner, for. B. by dissolving in 100% sulfuric acid and adding weak oleum, d. H.
Oleum with an 80% content of about 5-25%. If the starting compounds of the formula (I) contain aliphatically bound hydroxyl groups, e.g.
B. if R is a β-hydroxyethyl, B- or γ-hydroxypropyl group means, these hydroxyl groups can be converted into the sulfuric acid ester. This sulphation occurs at a sulfuric acid concentration of 93%, preferably 95-96%,
at temperatures of 0 to 25 ° C., preferably 1525 ° C., and can also be carried out immediately after the condensation with the compounds of the formula (II) in the same reaction medium, e.g.
B. by simple stirring, if necessary with addition of oleum, if the sulfuric acid concentration is too low or if the condensation was carried out in concentrated phosphoric acid.
The same procedure is in principle also possible for the sulfonation of the aryloxy groups in the 2- and possibly also in the 3-position, but in this case the reaction mass must be mixed with a relatively large amount of oleum so that the SO,
-Concentration reached: is.
The finished dyes can .from the sulfuric acid or phosphoric acid solution in a simple manner by precipitation with water and. if necessary, looked to be isolated.
The dyes obtained are suitable for dyeing leather, for dyeing, padding and printing fibers of animal origin, e.g. B. wool, silk and synthetic polyamide fibers, e.g. B. nylon, also for dyeing, padding and printing of cellulose fibers, z. B. cotton, linen and fibers. From regenerated cellulose, z.
B. Viscosereyon, copper rayon, cell wool, and mixtures and / or structures made of these fibers. The optimal application conditions vary depending on the type of fiber and the dyes used.
Animal fibers and synthetic polyamide fibers are preferably dyed in an acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline medium and printed or fixed, e.g. B. in the presence of acetic acid, formic acid, sulfuric acid, ammonium sulfate, sodium metaphosphate, etc. You can also in the presence of Egahsäerungsmittel, z.
B. polyoxyethylated fatty amines or mixtures of the same with Allcylpolyglykol- äthern color acetic acid to neutral and at the end of the color the bath by adding; small amounts of an alkaline agent such. B.
Ammonia, sodium bicarbonate, soda, etc., or compounds which react alkaline in the heat, e.g. B. hexamethylene tetramine, urea, blunt to a neutral or weakly alkaline reaction. It is then rinsed thoroughly and, if necessary, acidified with a little acetic acid.
The dyeings and prints obtained are generally light, wash, milled; water, sweat, rub and dry cleaning resistant.
The dyeing, padding and printing or fixing of the dyes on cellulose fibers is advantageously carried out in an alkaline medium, e.g.
B. in the presence of sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide solution, potassium hydroxide solution, sodium metasilicate, sodium borate, tri-sodium phosphate, ammonia, etc. To avoid reduction phenomena, when dyeing, padding or printing fibers, mild oxidants
such as 1-nitrobenzene-3-sulfonic acid sodium, added. In the case of cellulose fibers, too, the dyes are usually fixed in the heat.
The dyeings and prints on cellulose fibers are particularly notable for their excellent wet fastness properties.
These are based on the formation of a stable chemical bond between the dye molecule and the cellulose molecule. Often not the entire amount of dye takes part in the chemical conversion with the fiber.
The Ärateil de unreacted dye is removed from the fiber in: these cases by suitable Ope rations, such as rinsing and / or soaps, optionally using higher temperatures, synthetic detergents, such as. B. alkyl aryl sulfonates, e.g.

Dyes and prints that are fast to light, wash, water, perspiration, rub and dry cleaning are obtained.
The parts mentioned in the examples are parts by weight and the percentages are percentages by weight. The temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
<I> Example 1 </I> In 50 parts of 95% strength sulfuric acid, 12 parts of α-chloroacrylonitrile are dissolved at 15.20 in 1 hour.
Then the temperature is allowed to rise to 35-40 and stirred for 6 hours at this temperature. It is cooled to 10, and 6.5 parts of symmetrical dichlorodimethyl ether are added to the mass. The resulting solution is stirred for 6 hours and poured into the solution of 42.2 parts of 1,4-4diamino-2,
3-diphenoxyanthraquinone given in 300 parts of 85%% sulfuric acid at 20-25.
The reaction mass is stirred at 20-25 until a processed sample shows the disappearance of the original product by chromatography. The reaction usually runs overnight.
The mass is poured into 700 parts of a mixture of ice and water, the precipitate is filtered off and washed neutral with cold water. The colorant base obtained is im. Vacuum dried at 60.
The dye base is dissolved in 250 parts of 1000 sulfuric acid at 20-25. After it has dissolved, 50 parts of oleum with an SO 2 content of 25% are added and the mixture is heated to 40. The reaction continues,
until a sample dissolves in water without residue. This is the case after about 5 hours. The sulfonation mass is poured onto a mixture of 200 parts of ice and 300 parts of water, the precipitate is salted out with sodium chloride, filtered off, washed neutral and dried at 60 ° in vacuo.
The dye is a red-violet powder. It dissolves in water with a red-violet color, in sulfuric acid with a red color, which is produced by adding formaldehyde. turns blue-green.
<I> Dyeing instructions </I> 2 parts of the above dye, <B> 0.8 </B> parts of an oxyethylated fatty amine. and 0.5 parts of an oleyl glycol ether are dissolved in 5000 parts of water, and 2 parts of glacial acetic acid are added. This dye liquor is heated to 40-50, whereupon 100 parts of wool are added and the bath is brought to the boil within 30 minutes.
Cook for 45 minutes, then rinse and dry the material. This gives a level, very light and wet-light, brilliant red-violet coloration which is not degraded in boiling 50% pyridine.
If the dyeing liquor is then neutralized with ammonia after the dyeing process and the material to be dyed is treated therein at 90 ° for 20 minutes, the result is an even more brilliant and waterfast dyeing. The same result is obtained if the dyeing is treated with hexamethylenetetramine at 90 in a fresh bath.
Light and wet-fast red-violet dyeings are obtained on nylon just as well.
<I> Example 2 </I> The sulfuric acid solution obtained according to the first section of Example 1 is added to the solution of 43 parts of 1,4-diamino-2-phenoxy-, anthraquinone-3-sulfonic acid sodium in 30'0 Parts of 85% sulfuric acid at <B> 20-25 '</B> are added. When the reaction is complete, the mass is poured onto 300 parts of ice and 400 parts of water.
The precipitate is filtered off and washed neutral with a 5% sodium chloride solution. After drying in vacuo at 60 and grinding, a blue-violet powder is obtained. The dye dissolves in water with a blue-purple color.
Blue-violet dyeings with excellent light and wet fastness properties are obtained on both wool and nylon. The wool coloring is not degraded by cooking in 50% pyridine.
