Watertight shaped watch case Various types of shaped watch cases are known consisting of a base-cap fitting into a middle-bezel and tightening, with or without the interposition of a sealing package, the rim of 'an ice cream. These two parts are generally fixed to one another by four bolts housed in recesses in the bottom and the ends of which cooperate with corresponding openings made in the middle part.
These bolts are subjected to the action of springs and are shaped and arranged with respect to the openings so as to constantly apply the base against the ice and this with a predetermined pressure.
These locks are generally formed by plates, pins or even by balls. In all these cases, however, they have the drawback of coming out of their housing under the effect of the springs to which they are subjected as soon as the bottom of the caseband is removed.
An attempt has already been made to remedy this drawback by carrying out a riveting operation on the edge of the housing containing the lock after the latter has been introduced, but this solution is not satisfactory firstly because it does not is not sure because of the possibilities of deformation and wear of the material and then because it prevents the change of the locks which can wear or deteriorate. In addition, the crushed part can form a protuberance of the bottom on the side of the middle part likely to hinder the fitting of these two parts.
In the case of a device for suspending a movement in its box, we also had the idea of having a sliding member in a bush integral with the movement against a spring, the free end of the member coming from s' introduce the middle part into a housing. The trapped member is retained in the sleeve by an annular rim of the latter.
Such a construction responds to the particular problem of the fight against shocks. The member can only be pulled out against the spring force with the aid of a tool, and furthermore is not suitable for use as a vertically acting lock.
The present invention specifically relates to a watertight watch case of shape comprising a base-cap fitting into a bezel middle part and sealingly tightening against a bearing surface of the latter the rim of a crystal, this case-back presenting at the bottom. at least one sliding latch, subjected to the action of a spring and engaging in a corresponding opening of the middle part to secure these two parts, said latch and said opening being shaped and arranged so as to compress the bottom axially against the middle of a predetermined amount.
This box is characterized by the fact that the exit of the lock when removing this base is limited by a stop device, removably mounted in the base so as to allow the disassembly and replacement of the lock, and by the that this device is, at least before assembly of the back and the middle part, set back relative to the side face of the back, so as not to be able to come into contact with the middle part, during assembly.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, three embodiments of the object of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a partial vertical section of the first embodiment and FIG. 2 is a section on II-II of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a partial vertical section of the second embodiment and FIG. 4 is a section along IV-IV of FIG. 3. The fis. 5 is a partial vertical section of the third embodiment and the fis. 6 is a section according to VI VI of the fis. 5.
The first embodiment has a bottom-cap 1 fitting into a caseband-bezel 2, against a bearing surface of which it clamps, with the interposition of a sealing package 3, the rim 4 of a crystal 5 .
The back is fixed in the middle part with the aid of four sliding bolts 6, housed in openings of said back cover and the ends of which engage in corresponding openings 7 made in the middle part. A leaf spring 8 tends to apply the lock against the caseband and the end of this lock has an inclined plane 9 cooperating with the rim of the opening 7 so as to constantly compress the sealing package with a predetermined pressure.
So as to prevent, by removing the bottom, the bolts 6 from being ejected by the springs 8, a pin 10 is introduced into an opening in the bottom and passes through a slot made in the lock. The diameter of the opening is slightly larger than the diameter of the pin so that by simply pressing on the lock it is possible to release it from the hole by reversing the bottom, which makes it possible to easily exchange the spring or the damaged lock.
In the second embodiment, the active end 11 of the lock is integral with a piston 12 subjected to the action of a small coil spring 13. These two parts are housed in a cylindrical sheath 14 driven into the cylinder. background. This sheath has an opening for the passage of the end 11, opening delimited by an inner rim 15 constituting a stop for the piston 12. This rim could for example be produced by crimping after the introduction of the piston and the spring.
In this way, an independent unit is obtained which can be easily changed if necessary. The outer face of the rim 15 is set back relative to the face of the back, in such a way that the interlocking of the back in the middle part cannot be compromised by a possible protuberance.
By pressing on the lock and inserting a tool provided with two divergent jaws, it is easy to extract the unit from its housing.
In the third embodiment, the latch 16 is of generally cylindrical shape as in the second embodiment but it is mounted not in a sheath but indeed directly in a housing in the bottom, as in the first embodiment. . Its stroke is limited by a pin 17 disposed horizontally in the bottom and not vertically and engaging in a housing 18 formed along the lock. This pin is not forced into the bottom, but can be released under the effect of its own weight when released by pressing lightly on the lock.
As emerges from the fis. 6, the face of the pin is slightly recessed, when it is fully engaged during assembly .du lock. After assembly of the back, it is then retained by the caseband.
Finally, it should be noted that the use of inclined planes on the lock or on the rim of the groove makes it possible to compensate for any deformations of the sealing package, which is particularly important to ensure good sealing after a few years or in the future. difficult climatic conditions.
