Watertight shaped watch case Various types of shaped watch case are known consisting of a bottom-cap fitting into a middle-bezel and tightening, with or without the interposition of a sealing package, the rim of 'an ice cream.
These two parts are generally fixed to each other by four bolts each housed in a recess in the bottom and the active end of which cooperates with a corresponding groove made in the middle part. These locks are most often in the form of small pins, balls or even plates.
In order to maintain a constant pressure on the sealing package, these locks cooperate by means of an inclined zone with a rim of the groove and are subjected to the action of a spring tending to apply the lock against the build. This spring, however, constitutes a relatively fragile part liable to deteriorate, which requires a construction which can be dismantled from the latch allowing easy change of the spring.
We have already had the idea of actuating a circular lock by eccentrics controlled from the outer surface of the base, the head of each eccentric having a slot in which a tool can engage. Likewise, it has been proposed to control the rotation of the eccentric of a lock by a key from outside the box.
In all these known constructions, the tightening of the bottom-cap in the middle-bezel by means of the proposed devices is neither safe nor effective, and most of the time requires complicated mechanisms.
The subject of the present invention is a watertight watch case in the form of a case comprising a caseback fitting into a caseband-bezel and sealingly tightening against a bearing surface of the latter the rim of a crystal, this caseback having at least two sliding bolts, each arranged on an opposite side of the case in housings in the base-cap and engaging in a corresponding groove in the caseband to join the two parts together,
said bolts and said grooves being shaped and arranged so as to compress the bottom axially against the middle part with the interposition of a seal subjected to a predetermined pressure.
This watch case is characterized by the fact that each lock is actuated by an eccentric placed in its own housing and by the fact that the rotation of the eccentric is controlled by a key from the outer surface of the back.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a partial vertical section of the first embodiment and FIG. 2 is a section on II-II of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a partial vertical section of the second embodiment and FIG. 4 is a section along IV-IV of FIG. 3.
In the first embodiment, the index 1 represents a base-cap which fits into a bezel 2 and which clamps against a bearing surface of the latter the rim 3 of a crystal 4 and this by the interposition of '' a waterproofing package 5.

The back has, for its fixing in the caseband, four bolts 6 housed in recesses 7 and the displacement of which from their rest position towards their working position is controlled by an eccentric 8. The latter is cut in a rod 9 and is delimited by two cylindrical surfaces 10 between which is housed the inner end 11 of said lock.
A housing 12 formed in the ends of the rod which is flush with the outer face of the base makes it possible to control the rotation of the eccentric by means of a key provided for this purpose.
The outer ends of these locks each have an inclined zone 13 cooperating with the rim of a groove 14 made in the caseband so as to apply with a predetermined pressure the bottom against the sealing package 5. The movement of the lock is furthermore. limited by a pin 15, housed in the back and passing through a slot 16 of the lock so as to prevent the latter from falling once the back is dislocated from the caseband.
In other variants not shown, one could of course either eliminate this stop device or replace it with a device of another type.
In the second embodiment, a clearance 16 has been made in the latch to accommodate there a spring 17 cooperating with the end 18 of the eccentric 8. This end is cut in a V so as to play the role of 'a stop keeping the eccentric in its working position.
