Watch case Different means are used in watch cases with an insert case back to keep this case back in the middle.
This back can be screwed into the middle, however this is only applicable to circular backs.
You can also fix the snap back on the caseband. Finally, it is possible to use added elements ensuring the locking of the back to the caseband.
It has also been proposed a locking device involving a spring engaging in two grooves made on the one hand in the back and on the other hand in the middle part. However, it is necessary to exert pressure on the middle part of the spring to bring it into engagement with the two parts to be connected, the spring being more loaded in the locked position than in the unlocked position.
The object of the present invention is for its part a watch case with an attached caseback, in which the edge of said caseback has at least one groove disposed opposite a corresponding groove made in the middle part, these two grooves forming a limited housing towards the bottom. top and bottom by at least three shoulders, these shoulders being formed and arranged to allow an arched leaf spring to bear, by its ends, either on a shoulder from the top or from the bottom, while its arched part is supported conversely, either on a lower or upper shoulder, the force of the spring being exerted in the axial direction of the watch,
an opening partially formed in each of the two lower shoulders allowing the introduction and operation of a tool from outside the case, so that the back being introduced into the caseband, one can, thanks to said tool tilt the leaf spring at will into the locked position of the case, position in which the leaf spring bears on the upper shoulder of the back cover and on the lower shoulder of the middle part, or in non-operating position in which the blade spring rests on the shoulders of the back, or on those of the caseband.
The construction according to the invention therefore makes it possible on the one hand to lock or unlock the two parts by simply pushing the spring laterally, which further relaxes by passing from the unlocked position to the locked position, guaranteeing better stability, the spring occupying in the locked position a state of stable equilibrium.
The present invention will be better understood by referring to the accompanying drawing which shows, by way of example. an embodiment of the latter and on which FIG. 1 represents the bottom of the box in perspective. Fig. 2, a bottom view of the assembled box, and FIG. 3. a section of the box (without movement) according to 111-11Ï of FIG. 2.
In the drawing, 1 represents the bottom-crown of the case, 2 represents the middle-bezel and 3 the lugs of this middle-bezel.
The index 31 designates the ice in the box.
Although a shaped watch case is shown in the drawing, this embodiment is in no way limiting and the invention could equally well be applied to a round case or of another shape than that which is drawn.
The bottom 1 has, on two of its edges, grooves 4 limited upwards and downwards by 6piers, respectively 41 and 42.
Opposite these grooves 4, each of the edges of the caseband has a corresponding groove 5 inside it, one wall of which is inclined so that this groove is limited downwards by a shoulder 51 located at the same level as the corresponding shoulder 42 of the background.
An opening 6 is partially made in the middle part and in the back, in the parts 61, 62 respectively.

tively and allows access to housing 7 formed by the juxtaposition of the bleeding 4 and the bleeding 5.
Before inserting the bottom 1 inside the caseband, a leaf spring 8 is housed in the groove 4 axially stretched between the shoulders 41 and 42, its lower part 81 resting on the shoulder 42 and its horns 82 and 83 resting on the shoulder 41.
This leaf spring 8 is then arranged as shown in FIG. 1 and, in dotted lines, FIG. 3.
The back 1 and the caseband 2 occupying the respective positions shown in this FIG. 3, the person responsible for assembling these two parts introduces into the opening 6 the tip of a tool which bears on the lower part 81 of the leaf spring 8 and rocks it in the direction of arrow 9 so to bring it into the position it occupies, in solid lines in FIG. 3.
In this position, the lower part 81 of the leaf spring 8 bears on the shoulder 51 of the middle part. Thanks to its curved shape, the leaf spring 8 axially exerts a tension because it always rests on the shoulders 41 and 51, so as to lock the back in the middle part and to compress the gasket. seal 10 between the bottom-cap and the lens.
It could just as well be provided to initially accommodate the leaf spring 8 not in the groove 4 at the bottom, but in that 5, then rectangular, of the middle part and then to tilt the upper part of the leaf spring 8 in the direction opposite of arrow 9 so as to make it rest on the shoulder 41 of the bottom. In this case, the bleeding 4 would present an inclined side similar to that of the current bleeding 5, the shapes and roles of the bleedings 4, 5 then being reversed and the spring 8 reversed.
Although no special tool has been shown in the drawing, it is easy to imagine that any tool having an active tip can be introduced into the opening 6. These different elements which have just been represented could apply to a box. and a round bottom or a shape other than that which is drawn, the spring-blade 8 being able to be more or less arched.
To extract the back of the caseband, it suffices, by the reverse operation of the tool, to return the leaf spring 8 to its initial position.
