Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a timepiece movement, more particularly an electronic timepiece movement, specially intended for inexpensive watches.

It is well known that competition is very strong in the market for low-end watches whose prices have reached very low levels. For this type of watch, it is very important to limit manufacturing costs by all means. However, it is necessary to be able to accommodate movements without play in the watch cases intended to receive them. However, the absence of play has so far meant respecting precise odds and we know that precision is paid for.

From patent FR 2 031 476, it is known to carry out the fitting of a conventional movement by means of an elastomer cap playing the role of fitting ring.

From the utility model DE 7,511,355, it is known to form an elasticity slot in a watch case for fixing a notch on a middle part to this case. This method does not seem applicable without other to the fixing of a movement in a watch case and does not provide shock absorption.

The present invention aims to ensure a perfect fit of the movement in its watch case without auxiliary parts and without the need to meet close tolerances in the dimensions of the movement and also ensuring shock absorption on the movement.

To solve this problem, the timepiece movement according to the invention is characterized in that it consists of a plastic casing containing the components of the movement and the periphery of which has bosses and the peripheral wall has recesses located in front of these bosses, so as to allow the elastic deformation of the housing at the level of the bosses.

To obtain a good adjustment, it is sufficient that the dimensions of the movement case are greater than those of the housing intended to receive it in the watch case, this with great tolerance, the difference in dimensions being automatically compensated for by the elastic deformation of the case. some movement.

The recesses can be common to the bosses of the periphery of the movement and to the bosses of the face of the movement intended to come into abutment against the bottom of the watch case, which makes it possible to reduce the number of recesses.

Such a movement can be fitted directly into the watch case or into a casing circle.

The movement considered is an electronic movement of classical design. Its components have therefore not been shown. We were content to represent a case 1 made of synthetic material in which the movement components are housed. There is also a battery 2.

The housing 1 is of generally cylindrical shape and has a collar 3 by which it can be fitted into a watch case 4. The collar 3 is provided on its periphery with four bosses 5. Opposite these bosses, the cylindrical wall of the housing 1 has recesses 6 of approximately rectangular shape. The face of the cylindrical wall of the case 1 intended to come against the bottom 7 of the watch case 4 has four bosses 8 regularly distributed around the periphery of the case 1. In front of each of these bosses 8, the cylindrical wall of the case 1 has recesses 9 in the form of cylindrical blind holes. In fig. 2, there is also a dial 10 and a crystal 11 closing the watch case 4. The dial 10 is provided with feet which are received in two holes 12 provided in the case 1 of the movement.

When the movement is fitted into the box 4, its bosses 5 are slightly flattened radially, the recesses 6 facilitating this flattening by allowing elastic deformation of the box 1. This box 1 is therefore kept radially without play in the box 4. Similarly , the bosses 8, bearing against the bottom 7, make it possible to make up for the vertical clearance, the recesses 9 allowing a slight elastic deformation of the housing 1.

The number of bosses could of course be different from the number shown.

The movement could be nested using a casing circle.
