Abstract

The wrist watch includes a casing (2) attached to a strap (3), with the casing being annular in shape. The drive mechanism includes an oscillator providing a control signal, and the display hands (9, 10) are mounted between the inner ring (8) of the annulus and the outer ring (4) of the watch casing. The central region of the watch, inside the inner ring of the annulus, is free and may be used either to house a decorative element or a function element which is separate from the watch itself. The decorative element may be removable so that it can be changed by the user, having a screw, clip or bayonet fitting.
