Man arbeitet vorzugsweise in schwach saurem (z.
gute Verträglichkeit mit Salzen und Hartwasser, gute Reaktivität mit vegetabilischen Fasern, animalischen und syntheti schen Polyamidfasern;

The oxidative coppering is carried out, for example, according to the method of German Patents No. 807 289, 889 196 or 893 699, but preferably according to the NEN method with a water-soluble copper salt and described in Examples 1 and 4 to 10 of German Patent 807 289 Hydrogen peroxide.
The copper removal, which may have to be carried out, can be carried out, for example, by treating the copper complex compound in a mineral acid medium at temperatures of 20 to 100 ° C., whereby it must be ensured that the reactive residue present remains unchanged remains. After separation of the o, o'-dihydroxyazo dye in an acidic environment, the copper salts present in dissolved form are separated off by filtration.
The conversion of the o, & 'dihydroxy disazo dyes into their nickel complex compounds or the conversion back into the copper complex compounds is advantageously carried out in an aqueous solution. An amount of a metal donor containing one atom of metal is allowed to act on a molecule of disazo dye. It is preferable to work in weakly acidic (e.g.
B. acetic acid) to slightly alkaline medium at temperatures of 20-70 C and with the addition of an aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide, an alkali metal carbonate or an alkali metal salt: a low molecular weight aliphatic monocarboxylic acid.
Suitable compounds of copper are, for. B. cupric sulfate, cupriformate, cupric acetate or cupric chloride.
As nickel compounds, for. B. nickel formate, nickel acetate and nickel sulfate.
The metal complex compounds obtained, containing at least one reactive group, are separated out from their aqueous solutions by adding salt, then filtered off, optionally washed and then dried.
The metal-containing azo dyes obtained are uniform metal complex compounds in which essentially one atom of metal is bonded to one molecule of diazo compound.
The conversion of the o, o'-dihydroxy-disazo dyes into their chromium or cobalt complex compounds is advantageously carried out in an aqueous solution or in an organic medium, for example in formamide,
or in the concentrated aqueous solution of an alkali metal salt of a low molecular weight aliphatic monocarboxylic acid. It is advantageous to allow an amount of a metal-releasing agent containing less than two but at least one atom of metal to act on two molecules of disazo dye.
Suitable compounds of chromium are, for. B. Chromifluorid, Chromisulfat, Chromiformiat, Chromiacetat, Kaliumchromisulfat or Ammonium Chromisulfat. The chromates, e.g. B.
Sodium or potassium chromate or bichromate are particularly suitable for the metallization of disazo dyes. It is advantageous to work here in a strongly alkaline medium, it being possible to add reducing substances if necessary.
As cobalt compounds z. B. cobalt formate, cobalt acetate and cobalt sulfate. If the metallization is carried out in the concentrated aqueous solution of an alkali metal salt of a low molecular weight aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, then water-insoluble metal compounds can also be used,
for example cobalt hydroxide or cobalt carbonate.
It is particularly advantageous to carry out the metallization in an aqueous, alkaline medium, the metal compounds being added in the presence of such compounds which keep the metals in a complex bond in a caustic alkaline medium, such as. B. tartaric acid, citric acid and lactic acid.
The chromium or cobalt-containing azo dyes obtained, which carry at least one reactive group, are uniform metal complex compounds in which essentially one atom of metal is bonded to two molecules of diazo compound. These metal complex compounds are so-called 1: 2 complexes, where one molecule of disazo compound is linked to about 0.3-0.7 metal atoms.
The metal complex compounds obtained can, if appropriate after pouring the organic metallization solutions into brine, separated out from an aqueous medium by adding salt, then filtered off, if appropriate washed and then dried.
The new copper- or nickel-containing reactive dyes, which have 3 or more water-solubilizing groups, eg. B. Carboxylic acid or preferably sulfonic acid groups, and the chromium or cobalt-containing reactive dyes, which carry 2 or more water-solubilizing groups per molecule of the metal-free dye, have good solubility in water, good stability in the printing pastes and padding solutions,
good compatibility with salts and hard water, good reactivity with vegetable fibers, animal and synthetic polyamide fibers;
they are insensitive to heavy metal ions such as copper, iron and chromium ions and reserve acetate, triacetate, polyester, polyacrylonitrile, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate and polyalkyl fibers. Thanks to their only moderate substantivity, the originally fixed dye content can be easily washed out of the prints or dyeings on cellulose fibers.
The copper- or nickel-containing reactive dyes, which carry 2 ibis 3 water-solubilizing groups, are particularly suitable for the so-called exhaust process for cellulose fibers, while the chromium or cobalt-containing reactive dyes, which carry 1 and 2 water-solubilizing groups per molecule of the metal-free dye, mainly for acid dyeing of wool, silk and synthetic polyamide fibers are used.
The new metal-containing reactive dyes are suitable for dyeing, padding and printing on fibers of animal origin, e.g. B. wool, silk, synthetic polyamide fibers, e.g. B. nylon, from Le, of cellulose fibers, z. B. cotton, linen and regenerated cellulose fibers, e.g. B. viscose rayon, copper rayon, rayon, and mixtures and / or structures made of these fibers. The optimal application conditions vary depending on the type of fiber and the dyes used.
Animal fibers and synthetic polyamide fibers will preferably be dyed in acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline Me medium and printed or fixed, eg. B. in the presence of acetic acid, formic acid, sulfuric acid, ammonium sulfate, sodium metaphosphate, etc. You can also in the presence of leveling agents such.
B. polyoxyethylated fatty amines or Gemi's same with alkyl polyglycol ethers, acidic to neutral color and at the end of the dyeing environment the bath by adding small amounts of an alkaline agent, eg. B. ammonia, sodium bicarbonate, soda, etc., or compounds which react alkaline in the heat, z. B. hexamethylene tetramine, urea, blunt to a neutral or weakly alkaline reaction.
This is followed by thorough rinsing and, if necessary, acidified with a little acetic acid.
The dyeings and prints obtained have good light, washing, perspiration, fulling, water, sea water, potting, acid, alkali, rubbing, smoke gas, chlorine, bleach (peroxide) and Fastness to dry cleaning (organic solvents).
The dyeing, padding and printing or fixing of the dyes on cellulose fibers is advantageously carried out in an alkaline medium, e.g. B. in the presence of sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, caustic soda, potassium hydroxide, sodium metasilicate, sodium borate, trisodium phosphate, ammonia, etc.
To avoid reduction phenomena, when dyeing, padding or printing the fibers, mild oxidizing agents such as sodium 1-nitrobenzene-3-sulfonic acid are often advantageously added. In the case of cellulose fibers, too, the dyes are usually fixed under heat. Some of the dyes, depending on the reactivity of the reactive groups, even at low tempera tures, z. B. 20 to 40 C, colored or fixed who the.
The addition of certain quaternizable amines such as trimethylamine or triethylenediamine or asymmetrical dimethylhydrazine, preferably in stoichiometric amounts, accelerates the fixing of the dye on the fiber, so that the fixing temperature can be lowered and / or the fixing time can be shortened.
The dyeings and prints on cellulose fibers are particularly notable for their excellent wet fastness properties. These are based on the formation of a stable chemical bond between the dye molecule and the cellulose molecule. Often not all of the dye takes part in the chemical reaction with the fiber.
The proportion of the unreacted dye is removed from the fiber in these cases by suitable operations, such as rinsing and / or soaps, optionally using higher temperatures, where synthetic detergents, e.g. B. alkylaryl sulfonates, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium lauryl polyglycol ether sulfate and mono- and dialkylphenol polyglycol ethers, find use.
Blue, green, olive, gray and black dyeings and prints are obtained which are good light, washing, water, sea water, perspiration, rubbing, alkali, acid, vulcanizing, chlorine, bleaching - (peroxide), flue gas and dry cleaning fastness (organic solvents). They are also resistant to anti-crease finishes and acidic and alkaline hydrolytic influences.
In the examples, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
<I> Example 1 </I> 55 parts of the aminomonoazo dye obtained by acetic acid coupling of the diazo compound from 1-aminobenzene-2,5-disulfonic acid with 4- (3'-aminophenylamino) -2,5,6-trichloropyrimidine are used in 500 parts of water dissolved neutrally, with a solution of. 7.2 parts of sodium nitrite in 25 parts of water were added and the mixture was cooled to zero.
With thorough stirring, 45 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid are quickly added, so that a strongly mineral acid reaction occurs. The mixture is then allowed to continue stirring for about 1 hour at a temperature of 5-10 with a slight excess of nitrite. After the excess nitrite has been destroyed with sulfamic acid, the resulting suspension of the diazonium compound is combined with an ice-cold solution of 35 parts of 1-phenyl-3-methyl -5- <RTI
ID = "0004.0078"> pyrazolone-2 ', 5'-disulfonic acid, 25 parts of calcined sodium carbonate and 100 parts of water. The resulting disazo dye is deposited with the aid of potassium chloride and then filtered off. The amount of dye paste corresponding to 90 parts of the dye is dissolved in 700 parts of water until neutral.
60 parts of crystallized sodium acetate and an aqueous solution of 27 parts of crystallized copper sulfate in 100 parts of water are then yellowed. Then, at a temperature of 25 to 35, about 170 parts of 3o / o hydrogen peroxide solution are added dropwise within about 6 hours. When the copper plating is complete, the dye is separated off with the aid of sodium chloride and filtered off.
After drying and grinding, it is a black powder that dissolves in water with a greenish blue color.
The 4- (3'-aminophenyl-amino) -2,5,6-trichloropyrimidine used in the above example can be prepared in the following manner: 54 parts of 1,3-diaminobenzene are dissolved in 600 parts of water. 65 parts of sodium bicarbonate and 110 parts of finely powdered 2,4,5,6-tetrachloropyrimidine are added and the mixture is stirred vigorously for 48 hours at room temperature. Then the precipitate is filtered off and washed neutral with water.
The moist goods are dried at 60 in a vacuum and then finely ground.
