aromatischen oder heterocyclischen Hyd'roxy- oder Thiolverbindung, insbesondere aber den Rest von Anilin, dessen Alkyl- und Suilfonsäure- oder Carbon- säurederivaten, von niedrigen Mono- und Dialkylaminen sowie den Rest von Ammoniak bedeutet;
B. in Aceton.

<tb> 25 <SEP> Teile <SEP> Natriumcarbonat

Additional patent to main patent no. 406 480 Process for the preparation of reactive dyes The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of reactive dyes of the formula
EMI0001.0006
wherein R is the residue of an acylating agent,
which also has at least one substituent which can easily be split off as an anion and / or a C-C double bond which is easily capable of addition, B the remainder of an azo component which couples to a phenolic or enolic hydroxyl group in the vicinity and optionally contains further substituents,
one X is -S03H, the other X is hydrogen or -S03H.
The process for the preparation of the new reactive dyes is characterized in that 1 mol of the diazo compound is obtained from an amine of the formula
EMI0001.0032
in which the two X have the abovementioned meaning, and Z denotes a substituent which can easily be converted into an amino group, couples with 1 mol of an azo component coupling in an adjacent position to an enolic or phenolic hydroxyl group,
In the monoazo dye obtained, the substituent Z is converted into an amino group and the amino group is acylated with an acylating agent which also contains at least one substituent which can easily be split off as an anion and / or a C-C multiple band capable of addition.
The procedure here is such that a) 1 mol of 2-D azonaphthalene-8-mono-, -4-mono- or -4,8-disulfonic acid, which has a nitro group in the 6-position, is coupled with an azo component which couples to a phenolic or enolic hydroxyl group and optionally contains other substituents,
in the monoazo dye obtained, the nitro group in the 6-position is reduced and the amino group is acylated, or that b) 1 minor 2-diazonaphthalene-8-mono-, -4-mono- or -4,8-disulfonic acid, which in 6-position carries an acyl amino group, kup pelt with an azo component,
which couples in the ortho position to a phenolic or enolic hydroxyl group and optionally contains other substituents, hydrolyzes the aylamino group and acylates the amino group in the monoazo dye obtained.
The diazo components to be used, 2-amino-6-iitro- or -6-acylamino- (e.g. -6-acetylamino-, -6-benzoylamino-, -6-oxalylamino- or -6-carbethoxyamino-) naphthalener4 -mono-, -8-mono- or -4,
8-disulfonic acids are diazotized by the direct or, preferably, by the indirect method at temperatures of, for example, 0 to 5 ° C. The coupling can take place in a weakly acidic, neutral or alkaline medium, preferably in the pH range from 6 to 12, and at low temperatures, e.g. B. at 5 to 10 C, optionally in the presence of organic bases such as pyridine or pyridine base mixture, are carried out.
Examples of the azo components BH that can be considered are: 1-phenyl-5-pyrazolones and their sulfonic acids, such as, for example, 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone-2 ', 5'-disulfonic acid, 1-Ph- .nyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone-2 ', 4'-disulfonic acid, 1- (2', 5'-dichloro) -phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone-4'-sulfonic acid, 1-phenyl- 3-methyl-5-pyrazolone-4'-sulfonic acid, 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone-3'-sulfonic acid,
Hydroxybenzenes substituted in the 4-position, such as. B. 1-hydroxy-4-methylbenzene, hydroxynaphthalenesulfonic acids, such as. B.
1-hydroxy-naphthalene-4- or -5-sulphonic acid, 2-hydroxy-naphthalene-4-, -5-, -6-, -7- or -8-sulphonic acid, 1-hydroxy-naphthalene 3,6 -, -3,8-, -4,6-, -4,7- or -4,8-d'isulfonic acid, 2-hydroxy-naphthalene-3,6- or -6,8-d'isulfonic acid , 1-hydroxy- and 2-hydroxy-naphthalene-3,6,8-trisulphonic acid, and mixtures thereof;
N-substituted 2-amino- or 3-amino-5-hydroxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid or N-substituted 1-amino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6- or -4,6-disulfonic acid, such as. B. 1-acetylamino-8-hydroxy-naphthalene-3,6- or -4,6-disulfonic acid.
The nitro group is then reduced, e.g. B. by treatment with an aqueous solution of sodium sulfide or sodium hydrogen sulfide, preferably at temperatures of 60 to 90P C, or the acylamino gruppc hydrolyzed, z.
B. by solving in 10 to 20 times. Amount of concentrated sulfuric acid and diluting with water up to a sulfuric acid concentration of about 80%, in such a way that the temperatures rise to about 100 ° C, or by heating in an aqueous solution of alkali metal hydroxides , preferably in a 5 to 10% sodium or potassium hydroxide solution, at 70 to 100 C.
As acylating agent for the amino group come men z. B. into consideration: the functional derivatives such as the anhydrides or halides, preferably the chlorides, of the at least one mobile halogen atom and / or an addition-capable C-C multiple bond containing acids, such as.
B. chloroacetic acid, bromoacetic acid, ß-chloro and ß-bromopropionic acid, propiolic acid, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, a-chlorine, ss chlorine, a -bromo and, B-bromoacrylic acid, a, ss- and ss, ss - dichloro or dibromo acrylic acid, trichloro or tribromo acrylic acid, crotonic acid, a-,

where Hal is chlorine or bromine and y is the optionally further substituted radical of a primary or secondary aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic or heterocyclic amine, an aliphatic, alicyclic,
aromatic or heterocyclic hydroxy or thiol compound, but in particular the remainder of aniline, its alkyl and sulfonic acid or carboxylic acid derivatives, of lower mono- and dialkylamines and the remainder of ammonia;
also 2,4,6-trichloropyrimidine and 2,4,6-tribromopyrimidine and their derivatives, which carry, for example, the following substituents in the 5-position: methyl, ethyl, optionally substituted carboxylic acid or sulfonic acid amide, carboxylic acid methyl or ethyl ester, Acyl, e.g. Benzoyl, alkylene, e.g.
B. allyl, chlorovinyl, substituted alkyl, e.g. B. carboxymethyl, chlorine or bromomethyl and a methylene group between two pyrimids, 2,4,5,6-tetrachloro or tetrabromopyrimidine, 2,6-dichloro or -dibromopyrimidine-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester, 2,4,5-trichloropyrimidine which are optionally substituted on the nitrogen atom
5-carboxamide or sulfonic acid amide derivatives of 2,6-dichloro- or -dibromopyhmidine, 2,5,6-trichloro-4-methylpyrimidine, 2,4-dichloro-5-chloromethyl-6-methylpyrimidine and 2,6-dichloro-4 -trichloromethylpyrimidine. The easiest way to introduce the acid residues is usually by using the relevant acid halides,
partly also the acid anhydrides. It is preferred to work at low temperatures, e.g. B. at 0 to 20, C, and in the presence of acid-binding agents, such as sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide or sodium acetate, with a weakly acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline reaction,
for example in the p11 range 4 to 9. For acylation, the carboxylic acid chlorides are used as .sollche or in twice to five times the amount of benzene; Chlorobenzene, methylbenzene, dimethylbenzene or acetone, dissolved in the aqueous, well-buffered solution that carries the amino group, dripped in, e.g.
B. at a temperature of 2 to 5 C. The acylation can also be carried out with the anhydrides in the same way. The introduction of a cyanuric residue is best done in an aqueous medium at around 0 C and, in the case of a weakly acidic reaction, e.g. B. at pH values between 3 and 5, made.
The cyanuric halide is used as such in solid form or dissolved in an organic solvent, e.g. B. in acetone.
For the primary condensation products of a cyanuric halide, it is best to choose a suitable temperature of 30 to 60 C and a p11 value of .4 to 6, while temperatures between 40 and 100 C are most suitable for the di-, Trn- and tetrahalopyrimidines.
Instead of using the condensation products of a cyanuric halide and a hydroxy, thiol or amino compound as acylating agent, the amino group released by reduction or hydrolysis can also be acylated with a cyanuric halide, and one of the two remaining halogen atoms can do this Cyanur rings against the rest of a hydroxy,
Exchange thiol or amino compound.
When the acylation has ended, the finished reactive dye is salted out with sodium or potassium chloride from its solution or suspension, which may have been neutralized beforehand, or precipitated with acid, then filtered off with suction, washed and dried. The new reactive dyes are suitable for dyeing leather, for dyeing, padding and printing fibers of tieri cal origin, eg. B.
Wool, silk, synthetic podlyamid fibers in all processing stages, e.g. B. Nylon Perlon (registered trademark), of cellulose fibers, z. B. cotton, linen, and regenerated cellulose fibers, e.g. B. viscose rayon, copper rayon, rayon, as well as mixtures and / or Gebi'ld'en from these fibers.
The optimal application conditions are different depending on the type of fibers and the dyes used. Animal fibers and synthetic polyamide fibers are preferably dyed and printed or fixed in an acidic, neutral or slightly alkaline medium, e.g. B. in the presence of acetic acid., Formic acid, sulfuric acid, ammonium sulfate, sodium metaphosphate, etc. You can also in the presence of leveling agents such.
B. polyoxyethylated fatty amines or mixtures of the same with alkyl polyglycol ethers, acetic acid to neutral color and at the end of the coloration the bath by adding small amounts of an alkaline medium, z. B. ammonia, sodium bicarbonate, soda, etc., or compounds which react alkaline in the heat ren, z.
B. hexamethylenetetramine, urea, dull to neutral or weakly alkaline reaction. This is followed by thorough rinsing and, if necessary, acidified with a little acetic acid. The dyeings obtained are light and wetfast.
The dyeing, padding and printing or fixing of the dyes on CED # lulose fibers is advantageously carried out in an alkaline medium, e.g. B. in the presence of sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, caustic soda, potassium hydroxide, sodium metasilicate, sodium borate, trisodium phosphate, ammonia, etc.
To avoid reduction phenomena, mild oxidizing agents such as sodium 1-nitrobenzene-3-sulfonic acid are often advantageously added when the fibers are dyed, padded or printed. In the case of cellulose fibers, too, the dyes are usually fixed in the heat. Depending on the reactivity of the reactive groups, some of the dyes can also be used at low temperatures, e.g.
B. 20 to 40 C, colored or fixed.
The dyeings and prints on cellulose fibers are characterized in particular by excellent wet fastness properties. These are in the formation of a .stable chemical bond between the dye molecule and:
the cellulose molecule. Often not the entire amount of dye takes part in the chemical reaction with the fiber. The proportion of the dyestuff not set around is removed from the fiber in these cases by suitable operations such as rinsing and / or soaps, if necessary using higher temperatures, with synthetic detergents such.
B. alkylarylsulfonates, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium lauryl polyglycol ether sulfate and mono- and dialkylphenyl polyglycol ethers are used. Good lightfast and wetfast dyeings and prints are obtained.
In the examples below, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight, and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 1 The conventionally prepared aqueous suspension of the diazo compound from 36 parts of 2-, amino-6-acetylaminonaphthalene-4,8-dfisulfonic acid is mixed with the ice-cold solution of 35 parts in the course of half an hour 1-phenyl, -3-methyl-5-pyrazolon-2 ',
5'-disuxonic acid and 50 parts of sodium carbonate are combined in 400 parts of water. The monoazo dye formed is deposited with the aid of 1 , from sodium chloride and filtered off.
The filter residue is dissolved in 250 parts of water from 75 to 80 and! with 100 parts. 30% sodium hydroxide solution was added. It is kept at 75 bis for about 30 minutes while stirring. 80, whereupon the saponification of the acetylamino group is ended.
After cooling, the p1 value of the solution is adjusted to 4 bis by adding about 80 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid dropwise. 5. After adding 22 parts of 2,4,5,6-tetrachloropyrimidine, the mass is stirred for 4 hours at 60 to 65 hours.
Dilute sodium carbonate solution is added dropwise to ensure that the pH value remains between 4 and 5. After the reaction has ended, the solution is treated with blood charcoal.
After clarifying filtration, the dye is precipitated by adding: sodium chloride, suctioning it off, washing the press cake with sodium chloride solution and drying it. The ground dye is a red powder that dissolves in water with an orange color.
Printing specification A mercerized cotton fabric is printed with a printing paste with the following composition:

It is then rinsed in the usual way with cold and then with hot water, optionally soaped at the boil and again rinsed hot and cold. After drying, a brilliant yellow-orange print is obtained which has excellent water fastness properties and is well suited for crease-resistant finishing.
The corresponding dye obtained by condensation with 40 parts of 2,4,5,6-tetrabromopyrimidine has similar properties.
Betspiel 2 An aqueous suspension of the diazo compound from 35 parts of 2-amino-6-nitronaphthalene-4,8-disulphonic acid is slowly added to a mixture of 26 parts of 1-pheny143-methyl, cooled to 10, with stirring 5- pyra.zolon-2 ',
5'-d'isulfonic acid and 50 parts of sodium carbonate flow in 400 parts of water. When the coupling is complete, the whole is heated to 80, a solution of 40 parts of crystallized sodium sulfide in 100 parts of water is added and the mixture is kept at 80 for 40 minutes.
After the reduction of the nitro group has ended, the reaction mixture is allowed to cool, neutralized with concentrated hydrochloric acid, a pH of 7, and the aminoazo dye is salted out with the aid of sodium chloride.
After some time, the precipitate is filtered off and then washed with concentrated sodium chloride solution. The filter material is then dissolved in 900 parts of water.
This solution is allowed to flow slowly at 0 to 5 to a suspension of 18 parts of cyanuric chloride in 300 parts of ice and 200 parts of water, the dropwise addition of dilute sodium carbonate solution constantly ensuring a weakly acidic reaction of the reaction mixture.
After the reaction has ended, the dye is salted out with sodium chloride and filtered off. The filter material is then dried in vacuo at room temperature. It is an orange powder that dissolves in water with an orange color.
If the 18 parts of cyanuric chloride are replaced by 32 parts of cyanuric bromide, a similar dye is obtained.
Padding specification A padding solution which contains 10 parts of the above dye in 1000 parts of water is admixed with 10 parts of sodium carbonate immediately before use and at room temperature.
Cotton fabric is impregnated with this padding solution, squeezed between rollers to a dry weight increase of about 70%, rolled onto a roll and covered with rubber blankets to prevent it from drying on.
After 31/2 hours at room temperature, the dye is rinsed cold and hot, 15 minutes with a 0.05 to 0.1% solution of a. non-ionic detergent soaped at the boil and rinsed. The result is a boil-proof, fixed orange color, which is well suited for a kneading resistant finish.
Example 3 A 75.1 parts of the dye 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4- (6 "-ammiino, naphthyl 2" -azo) -5-pyrazolbn- obtainable according to the information in Example 2 2 ', 5', 4 ",
About 10% solution containing 8 "sodium tetrasulfonic acid is cooled to 0 to 5 by adding ice. A solution of 13 parts of chloroacetic acid chloride in 20 parts of benzene is added dropwise at this temperature with thorough stirring. Holds by adding 20% strength sodium carbonate solution keep the pH at 6 to 7.
When no more aminomonoazo dye can be detected, the solution is heated to 20 and the chloroacetylamino dye is salted out with sodium chloride. The dyestuff, which has been sucked off and dried, produces a yellow powder which dissolves in water with a yellow color and, on wool, provides yellow dyeings which are lightfast and very waterfast.
