EMI0001.0007

Methyl, Äthyl, Carboxymethyl, Chlor- oder Brommethyl, 2,4,5,6-Tetrachlor- oder -Tetrabrompyrimidin, 5 Brom-2,4,6 trichlbrpyrimidin sowie 2,4-Dichlor 5-chlormethyl 6-methylpyrimidin sowie 2,4-Dichlor-5-chlormethylpyrimidin. Die Einführung der Säurereste kann in der Regel am einfachsten;
B. in Aceton, verwenden.

Process for the preparation of reactive dyes The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of reactive dyes of the formula
EMI0001.0007
wherein A is the residue of an acylating agent which contains at least one substituent which enables chemical bonding to the substrate,
or a halotriazinyl or halodiazinyl radical, X is halogen or alkyl, one Y is —SO3H, the other Y is hydrogen, halogen or alkyl.
This process is characterized in that 1 mol of the diazo compound from an amine of the formula
EMI0001.0025
in which X and Y have the abovementioned meanings, 1 mol of an azo component of the formula
EMI0001.0031
and 1 mole of an acylating agent which contains at least one chemical,
Contains substituents enabling bonding with the substrate, or a polyhalotriazine or polyhalodiazine (reactive component) can act on one another in such a way that the reactive component is reacted with the amino group of the azo component and the diazo compound with the methylene group of the pyrazolone radical.
The procedure here is to first perform the azo coupling and then the reaction with the reactive component or first the reaction with the reactive component and then. the azo coupling executes.
The coupling of the diazo compound of the amine (II) with the azo component (III) or with the reaction product of the azo component (III) with the reactive component can be carried out in an acidic, neutral or alkaline medium, preferably in the pH range 3 to 9, and at temperatures from 0 to 30 C, preferably at 0-15 C before.
Examples of suitable amines of the formula (1I) are: 1-amino-2-chlorobenzene-4-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-2-chlorobenzene-5-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-2-bromobenzene-4-sulfonic acid, 1-amino -2 bromobenzene 5-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-2 fluorobenzene-4-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-2 fluorobenzene-5-sulfonic acid, 1 amino-2,4-dichlorobenzene-5-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-2,
5-dichlorobenzene-4-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-2-methylbenzene-4-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-2-methylbenzene-5-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-2-ethylbenzene-4-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-2-ethylbenzene 5-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-2,4-dimethylbenzene 5-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-2,
5-dimethylbenzene-4-sulfonic acid. The substituent A is preferably the radical of an acid containing at least one mobile halogen atom and / or an addition-capable C-C multiple compound, such as.
B. chloroacetic acid, bromoacetic acid, ß-chloro and ss-B.rompropionic acid, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, α-chloro and α-bromoacylic acid, α, β and β, β-dichloro or -dibromoacrylic acid, β-or y -Chlorcrotonic acid, ss- or y bromocrotonic acid, 2,3-dichloro- or 2,
3 Dibromoquinoxaline-6-carboxylic acid or -6-sulfonic acid, 2,4-dichloro- or 2,4-dibromo-6-methyl-pyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid or the remainder of one of the triazine or diazine compounds listed below:
tetrameric cyanogen chloride or cyanogen bromide, cyanuric chloride, cyanuric bromide, primary condensation products of a cyanuric halide of the composition
EMI0002.0080
where Hal is chlorine or bromine and y is the optionally further substituted radical of a primary or secondary aliphatic, alicyclic,
aromatic or heterocyclic amine, an aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic or heterocyclic hydroxy compound, but in particular the remainder of aniline., its alkyl and sulfonic acid or carboxylic acid derivatives, of lower mono- and dialkyl amines and the remainder of ammonia,
also 2,4,6-trichloropyrimidine and 2,4,6-tribromopyridine and their derivatives, which have, for example, the following substituents in the 5-position:
Methyl, ethyl, carboxymethyl, chloromethyl or bromomethyl, 2,4,5,6-tetrachloro- or tetrabromopyrimidine, 5 bromo-2,4,6 trichlbrpyrimidine and 2,4-dichloro 5-chloromethyl 6-methylpyrimidine and 2,4 -Dichloro-5-chloromethylpyrimidine. The introduction of the acid residues is usually the easiest;
by using the acid halides in question, and in some cases also the acid anhydrides. It is preferred to work at low temperatures, e.g. B. at 0, to 20 C, and in the presence of acid-binding agents such as sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide or sodium acetate in weakly acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline reaction, for example in the pH range 4 to 9.
For acylation, the carboxylic acid chlorides can be added dropwise as such or in twice to five times the amount of benzene, chlorobenzene, methylbenzene, dimethylbenzene or acetone dissolved in the aqueous, well-buffered solution of the amino group carrying the body, e.g. B. at a temperature of 2-5 C. In the same way, you can also carry out the acylation with the anhydrides.
The introduction of a cyanuric residue is before geous in an aqueous medium at about 0 C and in a weakly acidic reaction, z. B. at pH values between 3 and 5, made. You can use the cyanuric halide as such in solid form or dissolved in an organic solvent, z. B. in acetone, use.
It is best to choose for the primary condensation products of a cyanuric halide. a temperature of 30 to 60 C and a pH of 4 to 6, while temperatures between 40 and 100 C are most suitable for the D, tri- and tetrahalopyrimidines.
After the reaction group has been introduced or after the coupling has ended, the finished reactive dye can optionally be prepared from its. neutralized beforehand, solution or suspension salted out with sodium or potassium chloride or precipitated with acid, then suctioned off, washed and dried.
The new reactive dyes are suitable for dyeing leather, for dyeing, padding and printing of fibers of animal origin, eg. B. wool, silk, synthetic polyamide fibers in all processing stages, z. B. nylon, Perlon, cellulose fibers, z. B. cotton, linen, and regenerated cellulose fibers, e.g. B. Viscosereyon, Kupferreyon, rayon, and mixtures and / or structures made of these fibers.
The optimal application conditions differ depending on the type of fiber and the dyes used. Animal fibers and synthetic polyamide fibers will preferably be dyed and printed or fixed in an acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline medium, e.g. B. in the presence of acetic acid, formic acid, sulfuric acid, ammonium sulfate, sodium phosphate, etc. You can also in the presence of leveling agents such.
B. polyoxäthy- lated fatty amines, or mixtures of the same with Alkylipolyglykoläthem, color acetic acid to neutral and at the end of the dyeing the tape by adding small amounts of an alkaline reacting agent such. B. ammonia, sodium bicarbonate or carbonate, etc., or compounds which react alkaline in the heat, e.g. B. hexamethylene tetramine, urea, blunt to a neutral or weakly alkaline reaction.
This is followed by thorough rinsing and, if necessary, acidified with a little acetic acid.
The new dyes are very suitable for dyeing synthetic polyamide fibers using the exhaust process in the presence of acetic acid.
The dyeing, padding and printing or Fixie ren the dyes on cellulose fibers takes place before geous enough in an alkaline medium, eg. B. in the presence of sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, caustic soda, potassium hydroxide, sodium metasilicate, sodium borate, trisodium phosphate, ammonia, etc.
To avoid reduction phenomena, mild oxidizing agents such as 1-nitrobenzene-3-sulfonic acid sodium are often advantageously added when dyeing, padding or printing the fibers. In the case of cellulose fibers, too, the dyes are usually fixed under heat. Some of the dyes can, depending on the reactivity of the reactive groups even at low tempera tures, z. B. 20 to 40 C, colored or fixed.
The new dyes are particularly suitable for dyeing cellulose fibers by the drawing process in the presence of 20 to 200% sodium chloride or sulfate and 30 to 100% sodium carbonate or trisodium phosphate (based on the fiber weight).
The dyeings and prints on cellulose fibers are particularly notable for their excellent wet fastness properties. These are based on the formation of a stable chemical bond between the dye molecule and the cellulose molecule. Often not all of the dye takes part in the chemical reaction with the fiber.
The part of the unreacted dye is in these cases by suitable operations, such as rinsing and / or soaps, optionally using higher temperatures, removed from the fiber, synthetic detergents such.
B. A1ky1- arylsulfonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium lauryl polyglycol ether sulfate and mono- and dialkyl phenol glycol ether, find use. Greenish to reddish yellow, wetfast and lightfast dyeings and prints are obtained.
In the examples below, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight, and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 1 21 parts of 1-amino-2-chlorobenzene-4-sulfonic acid are dissolved in 500 parts of 20 water in the form of its sodium salt. The solution is cooled to 10, 30 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid are added to it with stirring and a solution of 7 parts of sodium nitrite in 30 parts of water is then added dropwise. Most of the diazo compound formed separates out of the solution.
64 parts of 1- [4 "-trichloropyrimidylamino-2 ', 2" -di sulfostilbenyl- (4')] - 3-methyl! 5-pyrazolone are suspended in 2000 parts of 20 water in a weakly acidic reaction. After adding the diazo suspension prepared according to the method described above, 50 parts of crystallized sodium acetate are added and the reaction mixture is stirred at room temperature for a few hours.
The resulting yellow monoazo dye is eliminated. It is brought into solution by thinning and heating and precipitated in a well-filtering form by adding a little sodium chloride solution and filtered off. After drying, it turns into a yellow-brown powder, which dissolves in water with a yellow color.
The azo component used in this example 'is obtained by condensation of 1 mol of 1- [4 "-amino-2', 2" -disulfostilbenyl- (4 ')] -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone with 1 minor 2, 4,5,6-tetrachloropyrimidine in weakly acidic aqueous medium at 60, precipitation by addition of common salt and filtration. Dyeing instructions for cellulose fibers A dye bath of 40, consisting of 3000 parts of lime-free water,
3 parts of 3-nitrobenzene-l-sulphonic acid sodium and 2 parts of that obtainable according to the above example. Dye is charged with 100 Tei len of a wetted, mereerized cotton cloth. The same is colored by raising the temperature to 90 within 30 minutes and adding two portions of 90 parts each of calcined sodium sulfate during this time.
45 parts of anhydrous sodium carbonate are then added and dyeing is carried out at 90 for a further 60 minutes. The dyed fabric is rinsed well at 80 and then soaped at the boil for 20 minutes in a bath consisting of 3000 parts of lime-free water and 9 parts of Marseille soap. After another hot and cold rinse, the dyed material is dried.
The yellow color obtained is very good spruce and wet and is very suitable for the crease-proof finish. Example 2 18.7 parts of I-amino-2-methyl-5-sulfonic acid are dissolved neutrally in 400 parts of water with the addition of about 13 parts of 30% sodium hydroxide solution.
A concentrated aqueous solution of 7 parts of sodium nitrite is added and the mixture is allowed to flow, with stirring, into an ice-cold solution of 200 parts of water and 30 parts of 30% strength hydrochloric acid. The diazo compound formed remains in solution.
The diazo solution is added to an ice-cooled solution of 45.1 parts of 1- [4 "-amino-2 ', 2" -disulfostilbenyl (4')] -3 methyl-5 pyrazole,
30 parts of crystallized sodium acetate and 500 parts of water flow. After the coupling is complete, the yellow dye solution obtained is poured into a stirred flask equipped with a stirrer, thermometer, glass electrode and reflux cooler at 60 with 22 parts 2,4,5,
6-tetrachloropyrimidine and a pH between 3 and 6 implemented. The reaction product is precipitated by adding sodium chloride and filtered off. After drying, the dye is a yellow-brown powder which dissolves in water with a yellow color.
Dyeing instructions for polyamide fibers: 100 parts of a nylon 66 fabric are placed at 40 in a dye bath containing 4000 parts of water, 2 parts of 40% acetic acid and 1 part of the dye prepared according to Example 2 . The temperature of the dyebath is raised to the boil in the course of 45 minutes and the dye is then dyed for 60 minutes at boiling temperature.
The dyed textile material is then thoroughly rinsed warm and soaped at the boil for 15 minutes in a wash liquor made up of 4000 parts of water and 8 parts of a commercially available synthetic anionic detergent.
