Process for the preparation of reactive dyes The invention relates to a process for the preparation of reactive dyes, which is characterized in that dyes which contain at least one halopyrimidyl radical are reacted with optionally substituted hydrazines.
Halogenpyrimidyl radicals are preferably to be understood as meaning mono-, di- or trichloro and mono-, di- or tribromopyrimidyl radicals, for.
B. the reaction of a chlorine or bromine atom with a. Exchangeable hydrogen atom residues of the following polyhalopyrimidines: 2,4,6-trichloropyrimidine and 2,4,6-tribromopyrimidine, and their derivatives, which have, for example, the following substituents in the 5-position:
Methyl, ethyl, carboxylic acid or sulfonic acid amide, carboxylic acid methyl or ethyl ester, acyl, z. Benzoyl, alkenyl, e.g. B. allyl, chlorovinyl, substituted alkyl, e.g.
B. carboxymethyl, chloro- or bromomethyl, 2,4,5,6-tetrachloro- or tetrabromopyrimidine, 2,6-dichloro- or -dibromopyrimidine-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester, 2,4,5-trichl @orpyrimidine, which may be substituted on the nitrogen atom 4- or
5-carboxamide or sulfonic acid amide derivatives of 2,6-dichloro- or di-bromopyrmidine, 2,4-dichloro-5-chloromethyl-6-methyl-pyrimidine, 2,5,6-trichloro-4-methylpyrimidine, and 2 , 6-dichloro-4-trichloromethylpyrimidine.
Water-soluble dyes or intermediates with a halopyrimidyl radical are z. B. described in the following patents: FP No. 1221621 (dichloro or dibnomopyrimidylamino radical) FZP No. 75 033 (dichloro or dibromopyrimidyloxy radical) FZP No. 75 771 (trichloro or tribromopyrimidylamino or oxy radical) Bg P no.
589 889 (dichloro or dibromopyrimidylamino or oxy radical with a substituent such as NO2, -CCl = CH2, -CH2-COOH, -CH2C1, -CH2Br in the 5-position) Vol.
589 972 (2,4-dichloro-6 - @ rtethyfpyrimidyl- 5-methylamino or -oxy radical, dichloro or dibromo-6-methyl-pyrimidylamino or -oxy radical, monochloro or monobromo-6-methyl-5-sulfo- or -6-methyl-5-nitropyrimidylamino or -oxy radical, etc.) FP No.
1270160 (2,4,6-trichloro- or 2,4,6-tribromopyrimidyl-5-alkyl or -5-arylcarbonylamino or -5-alkyl or -5-arylsulfonylamino) are water-insoluble disperse dyes or intermediates with a halopyrimidyl radical z.
B. described in the following patents: FP No. 1248160 (optionally substituted mono-, di- or trichloro or mono-, di- or tribromopyrimidylamino or oxy radical) FP No.
1270160 (2,4,6-trichloro- or 2,4,6-tribromopyrimidyl-5-alkyl or -5-arylcarbonylamino, -5-alkyl or -5-arylsulfonylamino). Optionally substituted hydrazine are e.g.
B. in question the hydrazine, its alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl derivatives, which optionally have further substituents, eg. B. water-solubilizing groups, can wear NEN. Preferably one uses an asymmetri cal dialkylhydrazine, for.
B. asymmetric dimethylhydrazine, asymmetric diethylhydrazine and N-ethyl-N-methylhydrazine.
The reaction can take place in aqueous, aqueous-organic or organic solution or suspension at a low or moderately elevated temperature, preferably between 0 and 50 ° C., advantageously in an alkaline pH range, e.g. B. between 8 and 12, if necessary in the presence of acid-binding agents such as sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, etc. take place. The amount of optionally substituted hydrazine can vary within wide limits, e.g.
B. from 0.1 equivalents to several equivalents based on the halogen or pyrimidyl radicals present in the dye; preferably one uses an approximately equivalent amount, for. B. 0.8 to 1.2 equivalents of hydrazine per halopyrimidyl radical of the dye.
After the reaction, the finished dye can be deposited from its solution or suspension, filtered off, washed and dried.
The dyes obtained are suitable for dyeing leather, for dyeing, padding and printing fibers of animal origin, eg. B. wool, silk; of synthetic polyamide fibers, e.g. B. nylon; of cellulose fibers, e.g. B. cotton, linen and regenerated cellulose fibers, e.g. B. Viscose rayon, copper rayon, rayon. as well as mixtures and / or structures made from these fibers. The optimal application conditions are different depending on the type of fiber and the dyes used.
The dyeing, padding and printing or Fixie ren the dyes on cellulose fibers takes place before geous enough in a neutral to alkaline medium, eg. B. in the presence of sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, caustic soda, potassium hydroxide, sodium metasilicate, sodium borate, trisodium phosphate, ammonia, etc., using the usual dispersing, emulsifying, Ve,
can also use thickening and other textile or leather auxiliaries.
Compared with the halopyrimidyl dyes used as starting substances, the dyes obtainable according to the invention have the great advantage that they react much more easily and more quickly with the textile fibers; so you can z.
B. carry out the fixation on cotton already at room temperature instead of 90-100 C, or you can, for example, reduce the dwell time and / or the amount of alkali or the alkalinity in the cold docking process.
The dyeings and prints on cellulose fibers are particularly notable for their excellent wet fastness properties. These are based on the formation of a stable chemical bond between the dye molecule and the cellulose molecule. Often not all of the dye takes part in the chemical reaction with the fiber.
The proportion of the unreacted dye is in these cases by suitable operations, such as. Rinsing and / or soaps, if necessary using higher temperatures, removed from the fiber, synthetic detergents, such as. B. alkylaryl sulfonates, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium lauryl poly glycol ether sulfate, optionally carboxymethylated alkyl polyglycol ethers and mono- and dialkyl phenol polyglycol ethers, find use.
In the following example, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 1 75 parts of the dye sodium l-hydroxy-2- [3 '- (2 ", 5", 6 "-trichloropyrimidyl-4" -amino) phenylazo:] - naphthalene-4, 6,6'-trisulfonate are dissolved in 600 parts of water at 40 neutral. After the addition of 7 parts of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine, the reaction mixture is stirred for 41/2 hours at 40 and the precipitated reaction product is then filtered off.
After washing with dilute sodium chloride solution, the press cake is dried in vacuo at 80-100. The dried and ground dye is a dark red powder that dissolves in water with a scarlet color. Dyeing instructions 100 parts of cotton are impregnated at room temperature with a 2% aqueous solution of the above dye, squeezed off to a dry weight increase of 75% and dried.
The fabric is then treated in a solution of 900 parts of calcined sodium sulfate and 60 parts of calcined sodium carbonate in 3000 parts of water for 1 hour at room temperature. The fabric is then rinsed well and soaped for 20 minutes with a boiling solution of 1 part of a partially carboxymethylated alkyl polyglycol ether and 3 parts of calcined sodium carbonate in 3000 parts of water, rinsed again and dried.
A scarlet-red, wash-, sweat- and rub-fast dyeing is obtained.
Example 2 138 parts of the 1: 2 chromium complex compound of 1- hydroxy - 2- (2 '- hydroxy - 5'- nitrophenylazo) - 8 - prepared according to the specifications of the Belgian patent No. 589104 (2 ", 5", 6 "- trichloropyrimidyl - 4" - amino) naphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid sodium who dissolved the neutral in 800 parts of water from 20 and the solution was mixed with 13.5 parts of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine.
The reaction mass, which is clearly alkaline, is stirred at 20 for 5 hours, its p11 value gradually falling. The reaction product gradually precipitates out. It is filtered off and washed with dilute sodium chloride solution. After drying and grinding, a dark powder is obtained which dissolves in water with a bluish gray color.
Klotzvorschri ft A cotton fabric is impregnated with a freshly prepared solution of 20 parts of the dye shown according to the above procedure and 30 parts of calcined sodium carbonate in 1000 parts of water, squeezed off up to a weight increase of 90 ° and rolled up. After wrapping in plastic sheeting: Leave the roll for two hours at room temperature. The dyeing is then finished in the usual way by rinsing and soaping.
This gives a greenish gray dyeing with excellent wet fastness properties and excellent light fastness.
Example 3 71.6 parts of the monoazo colorant 1-hydroxy-2-phenylazo-8- (4 ", 6" -dichloropyrimidyl-2 "-amino- or -8 - (2", 6 "-: dich'lorpyrimidyl- 4" - amino) -naphthalene- 3,6,2'-trisulfonic acid sodium, which can be obtained in the usual way by coupling 1-diazobenzene-2-sulfonic acid with the primary condensation product of 1- Amino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid and 2,4,6-trichloropyrimidine can be obtained,
are dissolved neutrally in 600 parts of water. The clear solution obtained is cooled to 10-15 and mixed with 7.2 parts of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine, the pH of the solution first increasing and then slowly decreasing; it is kept at 7.5 to 8.5 ge by adding dilute sodium carbonate solution. The solution is stirred further at 10-15 until the pH value remains constant without further addition of sodium carbonate solution.
The pH is then adjusted to 6.5-7.0 by the dropwise addition of a little dilute acetic acid, and sodium chloride is added to the solution until the dye precipitates. The separated dye is filtered off, purified by dissolving in water and salting out again and dried at 70 to 80 in vacuo.
The reaction product obtained is a red dye which dissolves in cold water with a red color and in concentrated sulfuric acid: with a purple color.
The following table contains further dyes available according to the invention, which are characterized by the halopyrimidyl dye used as the starting substance, the hydrazine and the shade of the dye on cotton.
