Washing machine The invention relates to a washing machine with a driven drum rotating about a horizontal axis. In fully automatic washing machines of this type, the washing drum is driven at a relatively low speed for washing and a high speed for vibrating the laundry. When swinging occur due to eccentric displacement of the laundry in the drum mel centrifugal forces that cause undesirable vibrations.
It is already known to suspend the drum housing in springs in a separate support frame for the purpose of damping vibrations. However, this type of construction is relatively heavy and expensive, since the upper fastening points of the springs are above the upper edge of the drum and the frame must have a corresponding size and strength.
The invention aims to create a simple, space-consuming elastic suspension of the washing drum that allows effective damping of the vibrations so that the washing machine can be operated without being attached to the floor.
The invention is characterized in that the drum housing with the drum drive units is mounted on spring-loaded rocker arms arranged in the machine base.
The rocker arms are preferably attached to rubber torsion elements and additional rubber buffers are arranged between the drum housing and the rocker arms.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. There are shown: FIG. 1 a front view of the washing machine with the outer wall removed in a partially schematic representation, and FIG. 2 a side view of the machine according to FIG. 1.
Two bases 2 are fastened on the base plate 1, each of which carries a rod 3, at the ends of which rubber torsion elements 4 are fastened. These each carry a lever arm 5, at the front ends of which a rubber buffer 6 is arranged. On the four rubber buffers 6 rests a carrier 7 which is rigidly connected to the housing 9 of the washing drum 8 Ge. Furthermore, shock absorbers 10 for damping the housing vibrations are arranged between the housing 9 and the bases 2.
The drum 8 is mounted in a bearing 11, which is also rigidly connected to the housing 9. The drum 8 is driven by two motors 12, 13 via a V-belt 14. The two motors are connected by a common flange 15 which is fastened on a shaft 16 on the carrier 7.
On the filling side of the washing drum 8, a front plate 17 is attached to the housing 9, which is designed as a counterweight to the bearing body 11 and the flange 15 with the motors 12, 13, so that the focus of the vibrating system resting on the rocker arms 5 in a favorable Position between the rocker arms.
