Fixing device The present invention relates to a fixing device, column, comprising a support part adjustable axially along the column.
This device is characterized by the fact that said support part has an annular part surrounding the column, on which the force that the device must support is applied, and of which a component is parallel to the axis of the column, this force, producing on said support piece a tilting torque which wedges it on the column.
The drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of a column support constituting the first embodiment. Fig. 2 is a section taken along line II-II of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of a detail, and FIG. 4 is an axial section of a clamping device constituting the second embodiment.
The device shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 ser vira, in particular, to support a flange intended to clamp a workpiece on the table of a machine. This device comprises a column 1 mounted on a base 2 intended to rest on the table 3, shown schematically, of a machine. This column has a longitudinal flat on which is provided a toothed toothing 4.
The support comprises a bearing part 5 formed of an annular part 5a engaged with a slight play on the rod 1, and of a shoulder 5b, located below the level of the annular part 5a, on which the support rests. part 6, shown schematically, intended to be supported by the support.
The force exerted by the part 6 on the support part 5, indicated by the arrow 7, and which is parallel to the axis of the column 1, produces a tilting torque of the support part 5 thanks to which the latter This is a wedge on the column, which prevents it from moving longitudinally on it.
Part 5b of the support piece 5 has a toothed tooth set 8, the shape of which corresponds to the set of teeth 4 of the column 1, and which engages this set of teeth 4; therefore, the part 5 is held along the column 1, even when it is not subjected to a load, which makes the support easier to handle.
The axial faces of the teeth of the set of teeth 4, designated by 9, as well as the axial faces of the teeth of the set of teeth 8, designated by 10, are not perpendicular to the axis of the column, so that the two teeth are not there is no risk of getting stuck in one another: it suffices, when the support piece does not support any load, to lift its part 5b to release the two toothings and allow the part 5 to move along the column 1, up or down.
The clamping device shown in fig. 4 comprises a tubular column 11 fixed to the table 12 of a machine by a screw 13. This column has wolf-toothed teeth 14 reversed with respect to the teeth 4 of column 1 of the first embodiment. . A support piece 15, similar to the support piece 5 of the first embodiment, is engaged on the column 11; this support piece is provided with a clamping screw 16.
The device is intended to clamp a part 17 on the machine table 12. For this purpose, the support part 15 can be adjusted in height along the column 11, the clamping being carried out using the screw 16.
The device of FIG. 4 can also be used as a support, with fine adjustment using the screw 16, this by turning the column 11 with the part 15 on the screw 13. As a variant, it is also possible to provide fixing devices in which the column would be placed horizontally or in any tilt.
