Description

Marking post for road traffic, in particular for marking protective islands. The present invention relates to a marking post for road traffic, in particular for marking protective islands.

The known marker posts of this type are usually made of a one-piece cast iron body, the lower part of which is buried or set in concrete in the ground. Such marker posts are almost invariably the cause of serious traffic accidents when hit by road vehicles.

In order to reduce the consequences of an accident when approaching the marker post, it now consists of two main parts according to the invention, namely a base intended for burying or concreting in the ground and an upper part arranged on this in the form of a hollow body made of synthetic resin, the upper part on The lower end is provided with a flange-like beaded edge and is attached to the base with the aid of a clamping ring arranged above this.

Such synthetic resin hollow bodies have a relatively low breaking strength, so that in the event of a collision with a large and fast-moving road vehicle, such as a motor vehicle, they do not cause any major mechanical damage to it or even have fatal consequences for the vehicle driver and other passengers.

Rather, the upper part can be lifted out of the clamping ring or from the base by the ramming vehicle, with the base then remaining in the ground, so that only insignificant repair costs arise, since only the upper part of the pole is replaced or normally only re-assembled got to.

The drawing shows an example of an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows a marker post in a side view and FIG. 2 shows the individual parts of the post pulled apart in a vertical section.

The marker post shown consists of two main parts, namely a particular base 1 to dig or set in concrete in the ground and the upper part 2 in the form of a thin-walled hollow body made of synthetic resin, for example phenolic resin, aldehyde resin, aminoplast, alkyd resin attached to the base 1 , Clyptal resin, coumarone resin, polystyrene, polyacrylic acid ester,

Polymedacrylic acid ester, polyvinyl, polyethylene, etc.

The thin-walled hollow body 2 is provided at the lower end with a flange-like beaded edge 3, which fits into a recess 4 of the base 1. To connect the upper part 2 to the base 1, a clamping ring 5 arranged over the beaded edge 3 is used, and screw bolts 6 with nuts 7 cast into the base 1 are used to fasten it.

After lifting out the pole upper part 2 after an accident, the clamping ring 5 is lifted off the base 1 after loosening the nuts 7, after which any remains of the pole upper part held by the ring 5 can easily be removed. Thereafter, a new upper part 2 or, if it has remained undamaged, the old upper part is placed back on the base 1, the clamping ring 5 is pushed over the upper part 2 and this together with the clamping ring is screwed again to the base.

The recess 4 could, instead of being arranged in the base 1, also be arranged in the clamping ring 5 or else be left out.
