Machine for cutting a mass of dough into several pieces The present invention relates to a machine for very quickly cutting a variable mass of dough into several pieces, so that equal dough pieces can be prepared, for example in a bakery. having to weigh them urs after others.
According to the invention, the machine is constituted by a lower frame, supporting a casing containing a movable table resting on a tube placed in the frame and capable of being raised under the action of a transmission controlled by a motor member, this central tube containing a column carrying, at its upper part, knives passing through the above-mentioned table to cut pressed dough inside the casing between the movable table and the cover closing the upper part of this casing,
the elevation of the central column being obtained by the pivoting of a motor element integral with a shaft carrying a disc connected to a transmission fixed to the foot of the column.
An embodiment of the object of the invention is described, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a sectional elevation of the machine taken substantially along the line I-I of FIG. 2.
Fig. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the machine, this sectional elevation being orthogonal to the previous one.
Fig. 3 is a top plan of the machine with the cover removed.
Fig. 4 is a section taken along line IV-IV of FIG. 2.
Fig. 5 is a section taken along the line V-V of FIG. 2.
Fig. 6 is a section taken along line VI-VI of FIG. 2.
The machine consists of a base 1 (fig. 1) on which rests a parallelepiped frame 2 supporting at its upper part a plate 3. An inspection door 4 is provided in the parallelepiped frame 2 in order to be able to clean, lubricate. and adjust the various mechanical components contained in this frame. The plate 3 is pierced in its middle with a hole 5 in which engages the end 6 of a tubs 7 carrying a collar pierced with threaded holes 9 in which screws 10 are screwed, the head of which pulls on the face. upper plate 3.
The latter is also pierced with two holes 11, 12, the role of which will be explained below. The tube 7 (FIG. 2) has at its lower part a flare 7a. A rectangular casing 13, which is fixed by screws 14 on the plate 3, comprises at its upper part a frame made of metal angles 15. Two side bars 16 are fixed on the two small sides of the casing 13 by screws 17 and have, at one of their ends, a tab 18 supporting an axis 19.
The other end of the bars 16 ends in a cam 20 intended to cooperate with a lock 21 solid with stiffeners 22 fixed to the top of the cover 23 closing the casing 13. 24 designates the pivot axis of each of the locks. 21 which are controlled by operating handles 25.
The tube 7 (FIG. 1) contains a second tube 26 which is concentric with it. A column 27 is engaged inside the tube 26 and ends at its upper part with two necklines 28, 29, the last of which carries a head 30 having two orthogonal grooves 31, 32. The lower end 27a of the column 27 is open and carries a pin 33 on which is fixed a part 34 extended by a finger 35.
Likewise, the lower end 26a of the tube 26 is cut longitudinally to allow the fixing of two pins 36, 37 connected at their free end by a hoop 38. Two parts 39, 40, identical to the part 34, are fixed on the pins 36, 37 and each of these parts 39, 40 is provided with a finger 41, 42. A pin 43 is fixed to the front parts of the recess 7a of the tube 7. This pin 43 (fig. 6) carries three ball bearings 44, 45, 46, the spacing of which is ensured by spacers 47, 48 49.
The spacer 47 is in abutment against the front edge of the flare 7a, while the ball bearing 46 is in abutment against a shoulder 43a of the axis 43.
50 denotes a nut screwing onto the end tapered thread portion 43b of the axle 43. Pinions 51, 52, 53 are mounted idle on the ball bearings 44, 45, 46.
A stirrup 54 (fig. 1 and 2), which is fixed under the inspection door 4 on the frame 2, comprises at its ends bearings in which a shaft 55 turns extended at its end 55a by a peeling portion 56 receiving a part 57 integral with a finger 58 on which is threaded a tube 59 forming a lever. The upper end 59a of the tube 59 carries an operating handle 60.
The shaft 55 is connected, by means of a bolt 61, to a sleeve 62 carrying at its end 62a a disk 63. A ron delle 64 is held concentrically to the sleeve 62 by a Circlip (registered trademark) 65.
66 designates a spring interposed between, on the one hand, the washer 64 and, on the other hand, a part 67 mounted loose around the sleeve 62. The part 67 carries a lever 68. A friction disc 69 is placed between the disc 63 and the part 67. The lever 68 (FIG. 2) carries at its lower end a finger 70 cooperating with a fork 71 carried by a sector 72 articulated at 73 on a yoke 74 fixed to the base 1. The sector 72 comprises internal teeth 75.
A pedal 76 is fixed to one of the ends of a lever 77, the other end 77a of which is integral with a sheath 78; the latter is connected by a pin 79 to a shaft 80 mounted in bearings carried by a bracket 81 fixed by screws, 82 on the frame 2 of the machine. A pawl 83 is fixed on one of the sides of the lever 77 and cooperates with the teeth 75 of the sector 72. 84 denotes a stop limiting the displacement of the sector 72.
Two roller chains 85, 86 are connected, via a part 87, to the lever 77. The part 87 is articulated on the lever 77 via an axis 88. The chains 85, 86 pass first around the pinions 51, 53, then are fixed, on the fingers 41, 42 of the parts 39, 40.
A third chain 89 is fixed by one of its ends on a lever 90 integral with the disc 63 and, after having passed around the pinion 52, is fixed by its other end on the finger 35 of the part 34.
The chains. 85, 86 and 89 allow axial traction without risk of machine malfunction.
The tube 26 carries at its upper end 26b a collar 91 to which is fixed, by means of screws 92, a plate 93 (FIG. 4) carrying a certain number of columns 94. The plate 93 comprises on its periphery clearances, so that it can slide freely inside the casing 13 without there being too much friction. The columns 94 carry at their upper part a table 95 cut by orthogonal grooves 96, 97, 98.
The plate 93 is pierced with two holes 99, 100 arranged symmetrically with respect to the orthogonal axes of this plate 93. Sleeves 101, 102 are fixed under the plate 93 by means of screws 103. The upper ends 101a, 102a sleeves 101, 102 pass through the holes 99, 100. Two pistons 104, 105 are placed inside the sleeves 101, 102 and each carry at their upper ends a head 106, 107 on which knives are fixed 108, 109.
The heads 106, 107 each carry a small part 110 having a semicircular groove intended to cooperate with the thinned ends 111, 112 of a double lock 113 mounted loosely around a washer 114 pinned at 115 on the bar turning 29 of the column 27. The lock 113 carries a shank 116, integral with the upper end 117 of a rod 118 passing through a fork 119; the latter is cut at the end of a lever 120 articulated on an axis 121 fixed under the plate 3.
Two orthogonal knives 122, 123 are fixed by fitting in the grooves 31, 32 of the head 30 placed at the upper part of the column 27. The knives 122, 123 pass normally through the orthogonal grooves 96, 98 of the table 95 The knives 108 and 109 pass through the slits 97, 97a. A hole 124 is drilled in the plate 93 and a hole 125 is drilled in the plate 3 to allow the passage of the rod 118. The knives 108, 109 have a median vertical groove to allow the free movement of the longitudinal knife 122.
The machine operates as follows: The cover 23 being raised and the upper part of the housing 13 being open, the table 95 occupying the position shown in fi-. 1 and 2, it is placed on this table 95 a certain quantity of dough, then the cover is closed and it is locked using the bolts 21. The operator then presses the pedal 76 in the direction of the arrow FI (FIG. 2). This movement causes the pivoting of the lever 77 and at the same time drives the chains 85, 86 which descend in the direction of the arrow Fz (fig. 2).
The tube 26 supporting the plate 93 is lifted and, through the posts 94, the table 95 rises. The dough is thus found to be pressed against the cover 23 and .se properly distributed throughout the space delimited by the table 95, the side walls formed by the housing 13 and the underside of the cover 23.
The lifting of the tube 26 has had the effect of causing at the same time the lifting of the column 27 because a washer 114a placed under the washer 114 rests on the upper end of the tube 26. Via this washer 114a, the lifting movement is transmitted to the latch 113 @en contact by its upper face with the lower part of the orthogonal knives 122, 123.
In the event that the lock 113 occupies the position shown in fig. 4, its tapered ends 111, 112 are not. engaged in the circular clearances of the parts 110 and thus, the knives 108 and 109 remain at rest.
As soon as the dough is sufficiently compressed, the operator operates the lever 59 by means of the handle 60 and this lever pivots from position A to position B in the direction of arrow F3 (FIG. 2). This movement has the effect of rotating the lever 68 in the direction of the arrow F_l, since the movement of the lever 59 causes the rotation of the shaft 55 on which is fixed the sleeve 62 carrying the disc 63 in contact with the workpiece. 67 via the dice friction disc 69.
As the part 67 is integral with the lever 68, the latter is imperatively controlled and its movement causes movement in the same direction of the sector 72. The pawl 83 engages in a tooth of the teeth 75. This locks the table 95 which can no longer come down, even if the operator releases the pressure exerted on the pedal 76. The movement in the direction of the arrow Fi of the lever 59 has the effect of driving the lever 90 integral with the disk 63 and pull on chain 89.
The traction exerted by this chain causes the raising of the column 27, the head 30 of which carries the orthogonal knives 122, 123 which cut the dough until the upper part of these knives bears against the lower face of the cover 23.
At the same time, the operator opens the cover 23, then depresses the pedal 76 again in the direction of the arrow Fl. Since the operator no longer exerts pressure on the handle 60 of the lever 59, the pawl 83 can separate from toothing 75.
The pivoting movement in the direction of arrow F1 of the pedal 76 again causes the lifting, by means of the chains 85, 86, of the concentric elements 26, 27 and at the same time the lifting of the table 95. It is then easy to remove from the table 95 the four dough pieces cut by the orthogonal knives 122, 123.
In the case where, using the lever 120, the lock 113 has been pivoted in the direction of arrow F., its thinned ends 111, 112 have entered the circular grooves of the parts 110, and, when lifting the orthogonal knives 122, 123 using the lever 59, the. knives 108, 109 have been driven upwards and we then obtain eight dough pieces instead of four. The operation of the machine is identical to that described previously.
When the dough pieces have been removed from the table, the operator releases the pressure he exerted on the pedal 76 and, due to the weight of the various parts of the machine, they fall back. They resume the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. The lever 59 returns to position A, its return stroke being limited by a stop 126 fixed under the casing 13 by means of screws 127 screwed into holes drilled in the plate 3. In some. In this case, the machine may have a different number of knives, in order to obtain larger or smaller dough pieces.
A hatch, not shown, is generally provided on the housing 13, in order to facilitate, on the one hand, the lubrication of the various members placed under the table 95 and, on the other hand, the cleaning of the chamber intended for contain the dough to divide.
It is also possible to eliminate, in certain machines, the pedal 76, the lever 77 and the lever 59 and replace these various components by one or more motors operating the machine.
