12 befindlichen Ringes 13 bzw. 14 ent spricht.
Pipe connection for metal pipes with inner lining The present invention relates to a pipe connection for metal pipes with a corrosion-protecting inner lining made of vulcanized rubber. Such pipe connections are usually made by means of normal flanges welded to the pipe ends. The flanges are attached before the inner lining is manufactured, and the flanged pipe ends must then be carefully smoothed, rounded off and deburred at the edge of the mouth.
At the joint between two pipe ends, the inner linings extend outwards in a flange-like manner and are pressed against one another with the annular surfaces facing one another.
This coating must cover the flange surfaces a certain amount in order to achieve a sufficient sealing of the pipe connection. Sharp edges must be avoided here.
The present invention aims to eliminate these deficiencies in metal pipes with a corrosion-protective inner lining. Accordingly, such a pipe connection for metal pipes with a corrosion-protecting inner lining made of vulcanized rubber, in which the pipe ends are pressed together by a device which is pushed onto the pipe ends, the end faces of the pipes being covered with the corrosion-protecting inner lining without a joint, characterized in that the outside diameter of the end face is practically the same size as the outside diameter of the annular sealing surface of the pipe ends which is used for sealing.
The invention is explained in more detail below in execution examples with reference to the figures. These show in Fig. 1 a pipe connection in longitudinal section; 2 to 5 show variants of the design of the pipe ends. According to FIG. 1, the two metal pipe ends 1 and 2 are each provided with a sleeve 5 or 6 that can be pushed on before the inner lining is made of vulcanized rubber 3, 4.
These Muf fen 5, 6 are provided with a radially inwardly protruding edge 7 and 8, which covers the front edges of the pipe ends 1 and 2, so processing them unnecessary, and is rounded at the edge to be covered with rubber. These sleeves 5 and 6 are welded at the rear edge at 9 and 10 on the outside of the pipes 1 and 2, or in some other suitable manner with the pipe ends 1 and 2 inextricably connected. When vulcanizing the inner lining 3 and 4, the facing end faces of the sleeves 5 and 6 are coated with rubber.
The pipe ends 1 and 2 to be connected thus each have an end face, the end face of the attached sleeves 5 and 6 as shown, which are provided with a coating of corrosion-preventing material up to the outer edge without a joint, which is inserted into the inner lining of the Me tall pipes. The outside diameter of the end faces is only so large that an annular sealing surface is obtained which is sufficient for sealing the pipe connection.
The sleeves 5, 6 only have the small radial wall thickness required to achieve this sealing surface; So I protrude slightly beyond the outer diameter of the pipes 1 and 2. They therefore interfere with the transport of such pipes much less than the previously common flanges.
On the outer surface of the sleeves 5 and 6 an annular groove 11 and 12 is provided, which is used to receive a ring, here as a steel ring 13 or 14 ausgebil Deten ring. The thickness of the ring in the radial direction must meet the depth of the annular grooves 11, 12 so that the ring protrudes from the same.
From the back of the sleeves 5 and 6 each a flange 15 or 16 is pushed, each having a central bore 17 and 18, the inside diameter of the outer diameter of the grooves in the ring 11 and 12 located ring 13 and 14 corresponds. In the central bore 17, 18 of the flange disks 15 and 16 is each an annular, radially inwardly projecting shoulder 19, 20 is provided which rests in the ring 13 and 14 and is correspondingly fluted. Around the circumference of the flange disks 15, 16 a number of through holes 21 and 22 are provided, which are used to accommodate the clamping screws 23, evenly distributed.
When tightening the clamping screws 23, the shoulders 19, 20 press in the axial direction on the rings 13, 14 and press the sleeves 5, 6 attached to the pipe ends 1, 2 against each other, the rubber linings facing each other being pressed onto an intermediate disk 24.
The invention is not limited to the formation of the end faces shown in Fig. 1 Darge. Other embodiments are therefore shown in FIGS. 2 to 5, again only as examples.
In FIG. 2, the end face is formed by a ring 42 pushed over the actual metal tube 41. This ring is connected to the tube 41, for example, backwards, ie on the side facing away from the sealing surface, by a welded connection 44. At the same time, the tube 41 is rolled or crimped into the ring 42 at the front, so that the tube 41 and ring 42 together form the end face. The inner lining 43 covers this end face up to the outer edge. The ring 42 has an annular groove 45 on its outer surface for receiving a ring so that the pipe ends can be pressed together in the manner shown in FIG. 1.
3 shows a tube 51 with an inner lining 53, to which a ring 54 is butt welded at the front, which ring alone forms the end face. The inner lining is in turn pulled out to the outer edge of the ring 54. Furthermore, the ring 54 again has an annular groove 55 for connecting the device for pressing the tubes together. This embodiment is particularly advantageous for Rohrver connections in which there is negative pressure, so in which an absolutely tight weld between the tube and the part forming the end face is required.
Fig. 4 shows a tube 61 with a large wall thickness, which corresponds to the end face required at the pipe end for sealing union. Here the inner lining 63 is a fold out to the outer edge of the pipe. Furthermore, the tube again has an annular groove 65 on the outside.
FIG. 5 shows a further variant of the example in FIG. 4. Here, the wall thickness of the tube 71 is only increased at the tube end 72 to such an extent that it just corresponds to the end face required for sealing. Otherwise the example corresponds to that of FIG.
