Description
Apparatus for mixing determined proportions
of materials
The present invention relates to an apparatus for mixing determined proportions of materials comprising a container with at least two compartments each containing one of the materials and each having an ejection pipe, the latter being arranged side by side, and a expulsion device acting simultaneously in all the compartments so as to cause them to deliver, at each, quantities of materials proportional to their respective capacity.
This apparatus is characterized by the fact that said expulsion device is independent of said container and comprises control members for piston heads each constituted by a flexible membrane mounted on a frame and introduced into said compartments after filling the latter, all of the above. so that said expulsion device can be successively mounted on numerous receptacles, the latter being discarded once emptied of their contents.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention, shown in axial section.
This apparatus comprises a cylindrical container 1 subdivided into two compartments 3 and 4, by means of a sleeve-shaped element 2 arranged coaxially inside the container 1. At the lower end of the two compartments 3 and 4 are arranged tubes d 'ejection 5 and 6. Around the pipe 5, which has a side ejection orifice 9, is fixed, by means of a flange 7, an elastic sleeve 8 covering said ejection orifice 9. The ejection pipe 6 has an axial ejection orifice closed by a plug 10.
The compartments 3 and 4 of the container 1 can contain liquid, viscous or pasty materials which will be ejected by said pipes 5 and 6 by means of an expulsion device formed by two pistons 11 and 12 integral with one another and each entering one of the compartments 3 and 4 parallel to their axis. The piston 12 is provided with a thread 13 which engages in a threaded part 14 arranged at the end of the compartment 4 opposite to that which is provided with the tubing 6.
The piston 11 is integral with the piston 12, so that, by rotating the pistons around their axis, the container 1 remaining in a fixed position, the piston 12 progressively engages, by its thread 13, in the threaded part 14 of the compartment 4, by bringing with it the piston 11, which causes a simultaneous ejection, through the tubes 5 and 6 of the materials contained in the two compartments oes in proportion to their respective capacity.
The expulsion device formed by the pistons 11 and 12 is independent of the piston heads formed by flexible membranes 15 and 16 mounted respectively on a rigid part 17 and on two annular springs 18 and 19, the latter respectively applying the edges of the flexible membrane 16 against the cylindrical walls of the compartment 3. While the end 20 of the piston 12 acts directly on the rigid part 17, which is introduced freely inside the membrane 15 which, in the present case, consists of a metal foil, the piston 1 1 acts on the membrane 16 via a rigid transverse part 21 matching the shape of the membrane 16 which, in this case, is made of synthetic plastic.
A cylindrical part 25, provided with a flange 24, forms
body with part 21, and the piston 1 1 is provided
lugs 23 capable of catching said flange 24 when the piston 11 is withdrawn from the compartment 3.
The end 22 of the piston 11, when the latter
enters compartment 3 turning around
of its axis, will therefore advance the piston head (16
18 - 19) while exerting a certain friction against the walls, outside of the bush 2 and inside of the
container 1, resting on the part 21 and, in the case where the expulsion device from the container 1 is removed, the part 21 is driven outwards by the lugs 23 of the piston 1 1 which hook the flange 24 of the cylindrical part 25 integral with the part 21. The expulsion device can thus be successively mounted on numerous containers 1,
these being discarded once emptied of their
content.
The flexible membranes 15 and 16 can be made of rubber, synthetic plastic or metal.
A rod 26 is glued to the bottom of the container 1 parallel to the ejection nozzles 5 and 6, so
to serve as a support stand during the ejection of the materials contained in the compartments 3 and 4 of the container 1 in a capsule 27, for example.
After that, the stand 26 can act as an agitator for the subsequent mixing of these materials.
