<B>Support pour</B> livre La présente invention a pour objet un sup port pour livre tel qu'un annuaire téléphoni que et analogues, dans lequel une monture ri gide disposée le long de la partie dorsale du livre supporte ce dernier et est articulée dans une chape à bras horizontaux autour d'un axe horizontal, lequel est situé en position de repos du livre, au-dessus du centre de gravité de l'ensemble dudit livre et de sa monture, de manière que le dos du livre soit placé hori zontalement.
Ce support est caractérisé en ce que ladite chape est mobile autour d'un axe vertical dis posé dans des paliers solidaires d'un support se fixant contre une paroi, en ce qu'à chacun des bords supérieurs des bras de ladite chape est articulé autour d'un axe parallèle à la longueur du dos du livre, un plateau solidaire d'un bras situé entre l'axe horizontal de la monture et l'axe perpendiculaire de la chape et s'étendant au-dessus de celle-ci, le tout étant agencé de façon que pour consulter le livre on fait bas culer la monture supportant celui-ci autour de l'axe horizontal et qu'au cours du deuxième quart de tour dont on fait tourner la monture,
celle-ci coopère avec chacun de ces bras en les faisant tourner d'un quart de tour tout en s'engageant entre ces bras devenus verticaux à l'intérieur de la chape maintenant ainsi les deux plateaux dans des positions qui sont de venues sensiblement horizontales permettant que les deux feuillets de la couverture du livre puissent reposer sur eux, le support compre nant encore des moyens de butée limitant la rotation de la monture à un demi-tour.
Le dessin ci-annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution d'un tel sup port.

Dans le support décrit ci-après, le livre est supporté d'une manière connue par une mon ture rigide et rectiligne 3. Cette monture est un tube de section rectangulaire que ferment à ses deux bouts des pièces 3a et 3b dont cha cune présente une partie s'ajustant dans le tube pour y être fixée par des vis 4 et une par tie s'étendant latéralement d'un côté pour supporter une extrémité d'une tige 5 passée entre deux feuillets du milieu du livre près du dos 2b, ce dos représenté étant fait de la même feuille de carton souple qui forme les deux feuillets 2c de la couverture.
La monture 3 est articulée dans une chape 6 près des bords supérieurs horizontaux des bras 6a et 6c' de cette chape faite d'une feuille de métal pliée en U, qui est fixée à une autre chape 8 dont les paliers 8a et 8b sont des feuillets horizontaux obtenus aussi par pliage d'une feuille de métal, de même que ceux, 7a et 7b d'une chape 7 fixée par des vis v à la paroi 9 d'un local.
L'axe <I>A1</I> d'articulation de la monture 3 est situé sur une perpendiculaire au dos du livre passant par le milieu de la longueur du dos 2b. Les deux pièces 3a et 3b étant iden tiques, cette ligne passe aussi par le centre de gravité de l'ensemble du livre et de la mon ture, de sorte que cet ensemble se dispose ho rizontalement lorsqu'on laisse le livre fermé prendre sa position pendulaire stable. Une tige t relie les chapes 7 et 8, de sorte que la chape 6 est guidée en rotation autour de l'axe vertical A2 de cette tige. Cela permet de ré duire au minimum l'encombrement du livre 2 en le plaçant parallèlement à la paroi 9 comme représenté en fig. 1.
Une planchette d'espace ment 7c est traversée par les vis v à cause de deux plateaux 10 et 10' montés à l'exté rieur des bras 6a et 6â de la chape 6. Des charnières c et c' sont formées par les bords supérieurs de ces plateaux et de ces bras pour permettre à ces plateaux de prendre la posi tion horizontale représentée en fia. 4. Ces pla teaux sont respectivement solidaires de bras 11 et 11' qui, lorsque ces plateaux sont verti caux, s'étendent latéralement au-dessus de la chape 6, vers l'intérieur et sur une @ longueur un peu inférieure à la moitié de la longueur de cette chape, ces bras étant en face l'un de l'autre dans l'exemple représenté. Chacun d'eux se termine par une saillie 12, dont la fonction est expliquée ci-après.
Les bras 11 et 11' sont situés respectivement à l'extrémité des plateaux 10, 10' situés du côté de l'axe d'arti culation de la chape. La fig. 4 montre la monture 8 renversée par rotation d'un demi- tour à partir de sa position des fig. 1 à 3. Dans ces fig. 1 à 3, une pièce transversale 3c sup- portée par la monture 3 est disposée symétri quement aux bras 11 et 11' relativement à l'axe<I>A1,</I> tandis que dans la fig. 4, on voit cette pièce reposant sur la saillie 12 du bras <B>il,.</B>
Lorsqu'on fait tourner la monture 3 en vue d'ouvrir le livre et faire reposer les feuil lets de sa couverture sur les plateaux 10 et 10', la pièce 3c rencontre les saillies 12 avant la fin du deuxième quart de tour de la mon ture puis coopère avec les bras 11 et 11' en glissant contre eux et les repoussant jusqu'à ce que la monture 3 s'engage entre ces bras devenus verticaux alors que les plateaux 10 et 10' deviennent horizontaux. Les saillies 12 servent à limiter la rotation de la monture qui vient reposer sur elles par sa pièce 3c. On peut alors ouvrir le livre qu'on a représenté ouvert par son milieu.
Le mouvement de la monture pourrait être limité par d'autres moyens de butée, situés, par exemple, au fond de la chape 6 et en saillie sur les faces externes des pièces 3a et 3b.
On comprend que l'horizontalité des pla teaux n'a pas besoin d'être rigoureuse et qu'elle est réalisée avec une précision suffi sante pourvu que la distance des plans longi tudinaux tangents aux deux bras dans leur po sition de la fig. 4 ne surpasse que d'un jeu pra tiquement nécessaire la largeur de la monture.
Les deux bras pourraient n'être pas en face l'un de l'autre. Dans l'exemple représenté, on n'a donné aux plateaux et aux bras de la chape que les dimensions jugées pratiquement suffisantes relativement à celles du livre, mais ces dimensions pourraient être plus grandes et les bras de la chape 6 pourraient être décou pés en forme de consoles.

In the support described below, the book is supported in a known manner by a rigid and rectilinear frame 3. This frame is a tube of rectangular section closed at its two ends by parts 3a and 3b, each of which has a part which fits into the tube to be fixed thereto by screws 4 and a part extending laterally on one side to support one end of a rod 5 passed between two leaves in the middle of the book near the spine 2b, this back shown being made of the same sheet of flexible cardboard which forms the two sheets 2c of the cover.
The frame 3 is articulated in a yoke 6 near the upper horizontal edges of the arms 6a and 6c 'of this yoke made of a sheet of metal folded in a U, which is fixed to another yoke 8 whose bearings 8a and 8b are horizontal sheets also obtained by folding a sheet of metal, as well as those, 7a and 7b of a yoke 7 fixed by screws v to the wall 9 of a room.
The articulation axis <I> A1 </I> of the frame 3 is located on a perpendicular to the spine of the book passing through the middle of the length of the spine 2b. It will be understood that the horizontality of the plates does not need to be rigorous and that it is carried out with sufficient precision provided that the distance of the longitudinal planes tangent to the two arms in their position in FIG. 4 only exceeds the width of the frame by a practically necessary clearance.
The two arms might not be facing each other. In the example shown, only the dimensions considered to be practically sufficient relative to those of the book were given to the plates and to the arms of the yoke, but these dimensions could be larger and the arms of the yoke 6 could be cut in. form of consoles.
