Support transportable.
Transportable support. The object of the present invention is a transportable support.
The purpose of this support is to make it possible, as will be seen later, to suspend various objects on the edge and below an overhanging part, such as the edge of a table, of a shelving, etc.
The transportable support according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises three substantially rectilinear elements, a median and two extremities articulated at the two ends of the median element so that, from a rest position in which the end elements are folded against the middle element, they can be brought and immobilized in ime position forming substantially a right angle with the middle element.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, three embodiments of the support according to the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a known support, devoid of articulations.
Each of fig. 2 to 4 represent an embodiment of the support according to the invention, FIGS. 3 and 4 being perspective views.
The known support shown in FIG. 1 rests on the edge of a table 1 and comprises a core 2, a lower suspension branch 2a and an upper support branch 25.
By placing the latter on the protruding edge of the table, so that the other branch 2a takes place below, it is in fact obvious that an object 3 can be suspended from the latter, to the extent that the center of gravity of said object is located below the support base of the branch 25.
This support has the drawback of being bulky.
It is to remedy this that the support according to the invention has articulated elements.
The first embodiment of the support shown in FIG. 2 consists of a rectilinear median element 4 and of a first end element 5, articulated at one end of said median element, at 4a, and constituting a branch intended to rest on the edge of a table 1 for example.
To this branch is added an auxiliary arm 6a fixed to a sleeve 6, capable of sliding along the median element 4. This arm 6a is articulated to said sleeve at 6d, and serves only to allow a clamping on 1 to be performed. , adjusting the distance of 5 and 6a to an appropriate value and locking the bush with a screw 6b.
The arrow 7 indicates the direction of sliding allowing to separate 5 and 6ca in from each other.
At the lower end of the middle element 4, at 4b, is articulated a second end element 8, intended to support an object 9.
The parts 5, 6a and 8 are all three capable of folding against the middle element 4. On the other hand, they cannot deviate from the open position drawn by opening at an angle greater than the angles 5a and 6c, which are straight, and 8a which is barely a little above 90.
The extreme element 8 is slightly bent, in order to be able to better retain the objects which are suspended there.
In a variant, one could remove the clamping means constituted by 6 and 6a. The support would then be reduced to its simplest expression, that is to say in the form of a [J with core 4 and branches 5 and 8.
In another variant, comprising the arm 6a, the element 8 can be placed on the outside, at 8b, to suspend an object at 9c, for example.
The second embodiment shown in iig. 3 consists of a tube 10 or of a solid column, forming the middle element and having at each end two stops 10a ,, respectively 10b, and two holes 10c, respectively 10d.
In the holes 10c are intended to pivot the ends forming an axis 16 of a forked part 11, bent at 11b, forming an extreme element, which allows it to be brought into the drawn position, in which the stops 10a hold it, or fold it back against 10, in the direction of arrow 12.
It can be seen that the part 11 has, in addition, an angled section 11a increasing the length of the bearing surface that is to be produced.
In the holes 10d is introduced the pin 15d, a piece of the same type 13, bent at 13a, and 13b, forming the other end element and normally bearing against the stops 10b, but capable of also folding against 10 in the direction of the arrow 14. The two end elements 11 and 13 are made of a wire folded on itself.
In the position of use shown, the elements 11 and 13 form the branches of the support in [J of which 10 is the core.
By folding 11 and 13 around the axes 15 and 16, this support becomes compact. The third embodiment shown in FIG. 4 comprises a median element and two end elements which have a profile in [J giving them the necessary rigidity, which allows them to be made of sheet metal.
At the middle element 17 are articulated at 18 and 19 the end elements 20 and 21, the free end of the branch 21 carrying, articulated at 22, a part 23 capable of constituting an additional hook. The widths of the elements considered are such that 20 is the widest, that 17 fits inside 20, 21 inside 17 and 23 inside 21.
This allows the assembly to be folded in the direction of arrows 20a, 21a and 23c, to practically reduce it to the size of element 17.
In a variant, provision may be made for the addition of springs at all the points of articulation, so that the opening and the deployment of the support are instantaneous, a notch being able to be provided to keep the support closed.
To increase the adhesion of the upper support branch, it is possible to add thereto over its entire surface or to a part of the latter a material with a high coefficient of friction, for example leather, fabric, rubber, or a material. plastic, etc., fixed by any method.
A support such as those described can be> of sufficient height to be able to be suspended from parts of relatively great thickness, for example a table top having a thickness even of 10 cm.
