Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'exécution du fourneau sui vant l'invention. Sur ce dessin la fig. 1 en est une vue en perspective avec parties arrachées ; la fig. 2 est une vue en coupe verticale lon gitudinale de la fig. 1 montrant la position oc cupée par les volets obturateurs lorsque le fourneau fonctionne en tirage direct ; la fig. 3 est une vue de détail, à échelle agrandie, montrant, en perspective, le carneau et son volet à tuyère d'admission d'air secon daire en tirage direct pour le chauffage du des sus du four principal et de la plaque supérieure du fourneau ;
Furnace The present invention relates to a furnace which can operate either in direct draft or in reverse draft.
This stove is characterized by the fact that it comprises a hearth adjacent to one of two superimposed ovens between which is formed a passage opening into an ashtray by means of a flue controlled by a shutter so that, during reverse draft operation, the flames and the combustion gases follow this passage to reach the chimney and, on their path, provide direct heating: on the one hand, of the floor, of the wall of end and top of the upper oven and, on the other hand, that of the top of the lower oven, this arrangement making it possible to obtain intense and uniform heating of the upper oven and moderate heating of the lower oven.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the furnace according to the invention. In this drawing, fig. 1 is a perspective view with parts broken away; fig. 2 is a view in vertical longitudinal section of FIG. 1 showing the position oc cuped by the shutters when the furnace operates in direct draft; fig. 3 is a detail view, on an enlarged scale, showing, in perspective, the flue and its secondary air intake nozzle flap in direct draft for heating the top of the main furnace and the top plate of the furnace ;
fig. 4 is a section corresponding to FIG. 2 showing the flues and their adjustment flap in the reverse draft operating position; fig. 5 is a detail view of the boiler arranged at the front part of the hearth; fig. 6 is a perspective view showing the rear part of the stove with the various devices for synchronized control of the flue shutters and the air intake or openings.
The stove shown in the drawing com takes two side walls 1 and 2, a front wall 3 and a rear wall 4, surmounted by a heating plate 5 having one or opening 6 for loading the hearth 7 (fig. 1, 2 and . 4). Walls 1, 2, 3 and 4 can be insulated or not.
The hearth 7 is formed of removable plates (not shown) assembled by slides. These plates are arranged in a compartment delimited by the aforementioned walls 1, 3 and 4, by a transverse partition 8 connecting the walls 3 and 4, and by an inclined floor 9 which has an opening furnished with a removable grid 10. This sole is provided, on its lower face, with a combustion nozzle 11 surmounting an ashtray 12 provided with a cleaning door 13. In the nozzle 11 opens a .tuyère 14 which ends in an air intake opening. condaire 15 formed at the lower part of the wall 4 and controlled by a shutter 16 (Fig. 2, 4 and 6).
In the wall 4 are also formed two air intake openings 17 and 18, respectively controlled by flaps 19 and 20 and intended: the first for reverse draft, the second for direct draft.
The control devices for these flaps 16, 19 and 20 will be described in detail below.
Two superimposed ovens are attached to the transverse partition 8: a main oven 21 and an auxiliary oven 22, separated by a step 23 provided with baffles 23a-23b, passage connected to the ashtray 12 by means of a flue 24 opening above a deflector sleeve 25 intended to distribute, under the floor of the furnace 21, the flames coming from the nozzle 11. The flap 24 is controlled by a shutter 26 mounted on a pin 27 (FIG. 4) connected, by the 'Intermediate a rod 28 (Fig. 6) to a pin 29 on which is articulated a right angle lever 30 pivotally mounted at 31 on the rear wall 4 of the furnace.
The axis 29 also serves as a point of articulation for a rod 32 connected to the aforementioned flap 16.
The lever 30 controls, at the same time, the shutter 16 by means of the rod 32, and the shutter 19, by means of an arm 33 integral with this shutter.
The passage 23 communicates, via an opening 34, with the chimney 35, and extends vertically in 36 between the end wall 21a of the main oven 21 and the side wall 2. This passage 36 opens into the chamber 37 formed between the heating plate 5 and the top 21b of said oven 21.
The chamber 37 communicates with the chimney 35 through an opening 38 and with the fireplace 7 through a flue 39 provided with a shutter 40 (Figs. 1, 2 and 4). The shutter 40 is mounted on a hollow shaft 41 passing through the wall 4 and opening out to atmospheric air. The hollow shaft 41 has a longitudinal slot 42, inoperative as long as the shutter 40 is closed (fig. 4 and 6) but which, when the latter is open (fig. 2 and 3) allows an additional intake of air. secondary (vertical arrows FI, fig. 3) ensuring complete combustion of the gases coming from the hearth (arrows F =) as will be explained below.
On the outer end of the hollow shaft 41, is attached a link 44 articulated at 45 on a rod 46 fixed at 47 on the shutter 20 and at the upper end of which is articulated, at 48, an elbow lever 49 mounted pivoting at 50 on the rear wall 4 (fig. 6).
In the chamber 37, is arranged a fixed vertical chi cane 51 (fig. 1, 2 and 4) cooperating with a tilting flap 52 whose axis 53 is controlled from the outside by means of a lever 54 (fig. 6). ).
Two boilers 55 and 56, in communication with one another and forming between them a passage 57 (fig. 5), may be provided in the front wall of the hearth 7, this arrangement allowing, in direct draft, to heat. the two boilers by circulation of gases in passage 57 or, in reverse draft, to heat only the inner face of the rear boiler 55.
An opening 58 (FIGS. 1 and 6), provided in the upper part of the partition 8, makes it possible, thanks to a shutter controlled from the outside, to adjust the heating of the boilers.
To operate the furnace with direct draft (fig. 2 and 3), using the lever 49, the primary air intake flap 20 and the flap 40 which controls the passage of hot gases and the slot 42. As a result of the rotation of the hollow shaft 41, the aforementioned slot 42 of the shutter 40 opens (FIG. 3) to the lower part of the flue 39. On the other hand, by means of the lever 30, it is closed. simultaneously the flaps 26, 16 and 19, the flap 19 being able, by construction, to remain slightly open to supply a supplement of secondary air when it is desired to operate the appliance with accelerated live combustion.
The combustion gases therefore move from the bottom up in the direction of the arrows F 2 (fig. 2), that is to say that when they leave the grate 10, they s 'engulf in the flue 39 where they receive wind a secondary air supply through the slot 42 (see arrows FI) and go a) either in the room 37 and in the chimney of evacuation 35, if the shutter 52 has been folded down by means of the lever 54; b) or in the chamber 37 and the passages 36 and 23 communicating with the chimney 35 through the opening 34 (arrows F3), if the shutter 52 is raised and closed on the aforementioned fixed baffle 51.
In the first case, intense heating of the upper plate 5 and moderate heating of the oven 21 from the top 21b of the oven and the partition 8 of the hearth are obtained.
In the second case, one obtains not only a direct heating of the plate 5, but also a more intense heating of the oven 21 than in the previous case, the hot gases giving up their calories to the plate 21b, to the side wall 21a , to the sole 21c, and finally to the plate 22a of the auxiliary oven 22, which thus receives moderate heating.
For operation in reverse draft (fig. 4), we act on the lever 49 to close the shutters 20 and 40, and on the lever 30 to open, in synchronism, the shutters 26, 19 and 16. Leaving the shutter 52 closed, a lively heating of the 21st floor of the oven is obtained. By opening this flap by means of the lever 54, we have the enveloping heating of the oven.
In the presence of the primary air admitted at 19 and of the secondary air admitted at 16, the gases flare into the nozzle 11. The hot gas circuit is then established from top to bottom in the direction indicated by the arrows F4, that is to say that after having left the grid 10, they pass above the top 25, follow either the passages 23 and 34, or the passages 23 and 36, to arrive in the chamber 37 formed between the top 21b and the heating plate 5.
It should be noted that a small part of the hot gases passes between the baffles 23a and 23b of the passage 23 and escapes into the chimney 35 through the opening 34 after having heated the plate 22a of the auxiliary oven 22 and the sole 21c of the furnace 21, while the gas stream having continued on its way to the chamber 37, is discharged into said chimney 35 through the opening 38, after having abandoned its ca lories at the wall 21a and above 21b of the furnace 21 which is thus brought to a uniform temperature at all points.
The arrangement of the furnaces and the different hot gas circuits ensures the furnace a very high calorific output.
In addition, thanks to the precise adjustments to which the shutters of the flues and the air intake openings lend themselves, it is possible to obtain a wide range of heating temperatures for both the ovens and the heating plate of the appliance. furnace and water from the boilers, which can provide hot water service and even supply a central heating installation.
The fireplace 7 with removable walls may be fitted out so as to be able to burn not only wood, but any other fuel, and the adjustment devices may possibly be combined with a thermostat ensuring automatic regulation of the heating.
