Description

Automatic winding mechanism for a watch The automatic winding mechanism for a watch, object of the present invention, comprises a ball bearing, the inner ring of which is mounted eccentrically on a rotary member set in motion by the winding mass, and of which the outer ring is enclosed between the branches of a fork of a member to which it is intended to impart a rocking movement, a clearance being provided between the outer ring of the bearing and the parallel inner faces of the branches of the fork, so that this ring can roll on that of the branches against which it presses momentarily.

The single figure of the drawing illustrates an embodiment of the object of the invention, given by way of example.

An oscillating or rotating winding mass, not shown, drives the toothed wheel 1, rotating around the axis 2. To this wheel is connected the inner ring 3 of a ball bearing 4 disposed eccentrically with respect to the axis 2. The outer ring 5 of the bearing is enclosed in a frame formed by a fork 6, the ends of the branches of which are joined by a bridge 7 to increase its rigidity. This frame belongs to a rocker 8 pivoted at 9 and carrying a pawl 10 intended to act on a ratchet wheel 11; the rocking movement communicated by the eccentric ball bearing to the rocker is transformed into a one-way rotational movement of the wheel 11, suitable for charging the barrel spring, not shown.

Between the outer bearing race and the parallel inner faces of the branches of the fork, there is a slight play, so that the outer ring 5 can never touch both branches at the same time. As a result, it will only remain or come into contact with the branch against which it will momentarily exert pressure and on which it will thus be free to roll without slipping.

CLAIM Automatic winding mechanism for a watch, characterized in that it comprises a ball bearing, the inner ring of which is mounted eccentrically on a rotating member set in motion by the re-assembly mass, and of which the outer ring is. closed between the branches of a fork of a member to which it is intended to impart a swinging movement, a clearance being provided between the outer ring of the bearing and the parallel inner faces of the branches of the fork, so that this ring can roll over that of the branches against which it presses momentarily.
