Process for the production of a copper-containing trisazo dye. The present patent relates to a process for the production of a copper-containing trisazo dye, which consists in that 1 mol of the diazo compound from 2-amino-1-earboxybenzene-5-sulfonic acid with 1 mol of 4 Acetoac.etylamino - 4 '- aminostilbene-2, 2'-disulfonic acid combined, the aminomonoazo compound dianotized,
coupling the diazomonoazo body with 1 mole of 7-amino-2-methoxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid, further diazotizing the aminodisazo compound formed, the diazodisazo body with 1.
Mol. 2-Benzoylamino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid couples and converts the trisazo dye obtained into its copper complex ex compound by treatment with a copper donor.
In the following example the parts mean weight parts.
Example: 21.7 parts of 2-amino-1-carboxybenzene-5-sulphonic acid are dianoed in 300 parts of water. The diazo suspension is combined with the sodium carbonate-alkaline solution of -15.4 parts of 4-acetoacet..ylamino-4'-aminostilben-2,2'-disulfonic acid in 400 parts of water. After the coupling has ended, the amino monoazo compound formed is filtered off and dissolved in 100 parts of water.
25 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid are added to the solution; it is then treated at 10 with a solution of 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite in 50 parts of water. The resulting diazole solution is poured at 10 into the solution of 29.1 parts of the potassium salt of 1-amino-2-methoxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid, 20 parts of sodium carbonate and 400 parts of water. When the coupling is complete, the aminodisazo compound is isolated and stirred up in 600 parts of water.
After adding 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite, the dye solution is poured into a mixture of 40 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid and 160 parts of water and bis. The diazodisazo compound formed is filtered off, and the paste is then carried at 10 into a solution of 36.5 parts of the sodium salt of 2-ben7oylamino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid, 10 parts of sodium bicarbonate, 200 parts of water and 200 parts of pyridine base mixture.
The resulting trisazo dye is isolated.
To convert it into its copper complex compound, it is dissolved in 2000 parts of water at 85-90. After 10 parts of sodium carbonate have been added, the complex copper salt solution prepared by mixing a solution of 50 parts of crystallized copper sulfate and 250 parts of water with 90 parts of an aqueous ammonia solution 25% is allowed to flow into the solution over a period of 30 minutes.
The mass is refluxed for 12 hours, the copper-containing trisazo dye is salted out by adding sodium chloride, filtered off and dried.
The new copper-containing trisazo dye is a dark powder that dissolves in water with green and in concentrated hydrochloric acid with a brown-green color and colors fibers made of Celhios in vivid olive-green tones with very toxic properties.
